I feel crunch time creeping in and the to do list just keeps growing as we tackle more things. Thank goodness MH is a saint and just going with it. We had carpets professionally cleaned yesterday and they look so good. Right now MH is installing rails in the garage to hang the strollers on. We have lots of other things to do today between swim lessons and soccer! I need more weekend!!!

H & the big kid just left to go grocery shopping. Our list is way lame since we’re only buying dinner for tonight/tomorrow & the big kid’s lunch supplies for the week. 48 hours until I check into the hospital.

Hugs getzystark. We're here whenever you need us, but totally understand needing to duck out. All sorts of good thoughts for you guys.

H lost his phone at a friend's on Friday night. We're going to do a double check today (friends looked yesterday). Really hoping we find it. I'm not comfortable being 33w without a way to get in touch with him.
We went to see Avengers yesterday. I'm gong to get a pedi during nap time.
With DS I was one of the earliest due dates, I now get how all those with later due dates felt then 😂

No movie for us today. I cleaned, organized and set things up for 5 hours, then H and I went to get groceries and lunch. I'm done with work, so ideally I'll have the next few days to get stuff done, but knowing that the baby can come at any moment has me rushing around doing things instead of resting. I'm exhausted and in so much pain in my back, hips and pelvis, but hopefully that means all of my moving around is helping make some more progress!

We bought lots of snacks and shelf-stable stuff, but we're going to only plan and buy supplies for dinner one day at a time this week since we could end up at the hospital at any time.

budders, we did that last week. Once we’re released from the hospital, we’ll stop at the deli for some lunch meats, stuff to grill & some salads to keep it super simple.

budders, I'm planning to go see Avengers next week when I'm off so maybe you should take yourself on a date this week to see it!

Though if I did that, I could send him during his two week leave after the baby is born. Movie for him, house to myself (and the baby). Win win!

H & I are day dating tomorrow afternoon to see Infinity War. Or at least that's the plan. A lot can change between now (6:30pm and tomorrow at noon).

getzystark, how are you and LO doing? jaidit, hope you're doing well! I have 2 days left of work this week and because my unit's so slow, I think I'm going to get to work in either the NICU or postpartum so at least I'm near where I need to be if I do go into labor. It’s slow going. I haven’t been on because seeing other babies born without complications and/or seeing other babies leave the NICU is really hard. We are in the feeder/grower stage which is great progress but this is the part that is frustratingly slow. He latched for 0-10 minutes depending on his fatigue and tires out pretty quickly with bottles too so we’re in for the long haul. I totally feel you. We are in the feeder/grower stage and it's really rough when they aren't progressing as fast as we want them. I know it's only been two weeks, but I was convinced she would be home after just a week or two. She hasn't latched yet and we haven't even tried bottles yet. She just won't wake up long enough to even try. And it was the worst when I saw 4 babies go home Thursday. Granted, who knows how long they've been there, but it was still hard. If you ever need someone to chat with, I'm here. ❤ I'm basically living at the NICU right now. It's like round the clock pumping, cares and sleeping.

getzystark, ajm, many hugs to both of you. Your babies are in the best place to help then thrieve right now, but I hope they will both learn to self feed soon and that your families can be reunited at home ❤️

I work tomorrow and then go in at 10pm to start my induction. My mom came over today and helped with last minute cleaning. I just have to pack toiletries and a bag for DS, and we are ready to go. I’m getting a little nervous now that it’s almost go time. Eeee

It's going to be beautiful here today and we have some plans with friends. I am feeling stressed with all the toys my two kids have so am going to purge like crazy somehow. I read a study where they found that toddlers are better off with less toys or at least they play better. These poor kids are about to have their playroom decimated. My three year old plays SO much better when he has fewer toys. It's pretty incredible.

Feels like kiddo turned sunny side up, ughh was hoping to avoid that this time. Maybe I can get him to spin around again. Traded off babysitting with SIL and BIL today. We took all the kids so they could see a morning show of Avengers, then they took all the kids so DH and I could see an afternoon Avengers. I'm worried about this too. Mine is spinning around all day long. The midwife was amazed that he has that much space to move. DNW another sunny side up birth. Did you have back labor before? I had back labor with my first who was sunnyside up and I...can't do that again.

I read a study where they found that toddlers are better off with less toys or at least they play better. These poor kids are about to have their playroom decimated. When my parents would drag me to apartments they were rehabing I would play with anything available which usually included rolls of tape, outlet covers and screws, etc. Imagination is a great thing. So in my experience, kids really don't need many toys to make do haha. Soon I too am going to need to weed out toys my kids don't play with often. It's been a while and it's starting to add up.

Hopefully all our babies get in appropriate positions before eviction.

Came home from work, toodled on my computer for a few hours, and then went to bed at 6 because my eyes wouldn't stay open. It's now 1 am and I'm wide awake. Ugh.

I slept for a few hours and then woke up with awful awful hip pain. Heating pad was only vaguely helpful so now I’ve been awake sitting up for ages because I can’t lie on either side. GDI.

I'm sorry, I had that same exact issue last week. It was really bad for a few days, and then improved a bit. I hope yours gets better soon!
