Part of me hopes having a baby is on the agenda, but otherwise a trip to Trader Joe’s to stock up on some pantry & freezer items.

Taking DS to the Natural History Museum to see dinosaur bones and a birthday party. Picking up the house and starting to prepare for a surprise that could happen unexpectedly.

Cleaning if my pelvis will stop hurting so much. I think meeting with our realtor. Nothing fun.

We started our weekend early with H taking a sick day. I took the kids to the zoo while he checked out some cars. I'm going with him tomorrow to see if the Mazda he looked at today will work for us or if it's just too tiny.

Aside from church and meeting someone for ice cream, O and I don't really have any plans. H is hanging with his friends most of tomorrow celebrating one of their birthdays. I have more on my to do list I should knock out. Guess I'll prioritize that and do some things.

We have my sister's baby shower tomorrow, which I'm excited about. We have a lot of family coming in for it, and we haven't all been together in a while, so that should be fun. Of course, my feet ankles have ballooned up over the last few days so I'm a little more self conscious about the knee length dress I bought for it, but I guess it's to be expected at 37 weeks.
Otherwise, I just need to get things in order for whenever the little guy arrives. We need to install the bases for the infant seat in our cars, I need to pack clothes to leave at my mom's for V, and I'm hoping to get a bunch of laundry done.

They don't make them anymore, but it's like a tiny minivan. Car-sized but with three rows of seats with only 12" lengthwise of cargo space. We don't carry around a lot of stuff, and I don't mind packing grocery bags around the kids' feet. However, I am concerned there will be no space for a double stroller. We are on a tight budget and this car would be substantially better than any bigger one (generally size~$).

Hi, I haven't posted in a long time but I hope it's ok if I jump back in! Have there been no May/June 2018 babies born yet? I'm pretty surprised. I've been super busy with work, we moved to a new house two weeks ago, and tried to potty train our 2 year old (it failed - he refuses). I'm trying to finish unpacking so that I can start getting ready for baby. All of the sudden I'm in a bit of a panic because I haven't even really thought of all the things I should do. sammichcat, we have a Mazda5. It's a 2012 that we bought used last year. We love it, and typically drive it with the 3rd row folded down. It holds almost as much as our standard size suv did.

How has your experience been with the 3rd row up? We will be using one seat in the back for DS#1, so we can only fold down one of the back seats for extra storage, for now. However, we are planning on a 4th child in two years and want to continue using the same car, if possible.

However, we are planning on a 4th child in two years and want to continue using the same car, if possible. The good thing about the Mazda5, compared with an SUV, is that since the 2nd row is captains seats you can put your legs up through the middle. I'm 5'6" and I fit in the third row ok, it's a little tight. My MIL does fine, she's about 5'1". My FIL is 6'4" and he sat back there but didn't really fit at all. I'm sure the fit would be fine for your DS1. The problem you might have (and I've heard of this same problem with standard size minivans too) is if you have two kids rear facing in the second row, it's almost impossible to get past the car seats to get into the third row unless you take a car seats out. So probably fine with a bucket seat for the baby if DS1 gets in before you put in the baby. But not good with two convertibles. (Not sure if your second still rear faces).

I'm so thankful today was Friday. I'm so over working. May 4th seems so far away. My desk is horribly uncomfortable in my very pregnant state and my workload is all jacked up making it hard to focus. The person covering for me (no longer the dummy I vented about before) is taking all the new stuff coming in and I'm just trying to close out old stuff and clean up my email/tracking system so I don't leave her with any irrelevant, messy stuff. It's basically all the stuff I leave myself for "when I have some downtime" because it's boring/tedious. I don't wanna.
But tomorrow...tomorrow I'm cashing in on that 90 min prenatal massage my work gifted me. I cannot wait!

Currently I'm up way too early but just can't seem to get comfortable and my head is too busy thinking of what needs to be done. It's helpful to see what you all have on your to-do lists for the weekend.
I have 5 weeks to go and feel like I haven't gotten anything set up really. We will probably tackle some of the baby set up and clean house so we are more prepared for the week. My husband will be out of town next week and I know I'll be too tired to tackle much while he is gone.

lovealwaysalison, I'm glad they decided to replace you with someone competent! That situation was making me angry and reminded me a lot of the education system. I found my own substitutes to be sure they could handle the job.

Huge storm here last night but it’s passed now. A tornado touched down on my parents’ road but thankfully their house wasn’t affected.
First farmers market of the year is today. We may swing by that and then finish cleaning out the old house.
Re: new house I got another room unpacked yesterday. The nursery is still a mess of boxes and bags of clothes.

jessila I am sooo relieved too. My BFF/coworker, who already knows most of my job, and I ended up basically making the decision to tell the CEO that she would be taking over my tasks and passing off her less complicated office management tasks to the person he hired to cover me. We did it the day before he was going out for surgery so we didn't leave him with much of a chance to say no. Lol He originally hadn't wanted to do it this way for some reason but he didn't protest too much when we outlined the pros and cons this time. But now it's slightly awkward because the other lady is still sitting in my office being trained on things. But not by me. And I think she probably knows how incompetent we realized she was. But 🤷♀️ I couldn't deal with the stress of what I would be coming back to after maternity leave if I just rolled with it and let her cover for me.

I finally got most of the baby stuff done. I have everything set up and things are coming together. Still need to fax a little bit of paperwork to HR, set up the pedi, contact the newborn photographer, get my haircut, and install the carseats.
We were planning on going to a festival this weekend, but then I looked outside and half of my yard is gone. Our house has never actually flooded, but it's getting close and people driving through the flood waters are sending waves into the yard. DH is getting sandbags to line the house. I don't think I can handle a natural disaster right now.

numbears hope it doesn't get much higher! They've warned about flooding here but so far we had worse when it warmed up in February.

H and I went and saw Ready Player One on Friday which was so good. I got a voucher for Gold Class Cinema so I was semi-comfortable. Not sure what you guys call it: where they have big reclining chairs and you can order meals and drinks in during the movie?
Yesterday we set up the cot and hung curtains in the baby’s room plus I made a huge mess starting to sort through all of DD and her cousins clothes. Hoping to do heaps more today.
DD has decided in the last 3 weeks or so that she’s fully toilet trained now which is such good timing! Hoping she doesn’t regress when the baby comes.

Ugh, I wanna start working on stuff and get everything done, but I have to wait and see what I get at my baby shower before I really get down to business. Next weekend, hurry up!! Also, I was at Staples with H earlier when F decided to press a limb right up against my belly. I literally had to stop in the middle of an aisle and push it back because it was super uncomfortable lol
