DS is getting his big boy bed this week! Hopefully he’ll transition ok from his toddler bed that we need to change back to a crib for the new baby. He still wakes up a couple of times a week and has to come to our bed for the rest of the night.
When we moved DD to a real bed I was able to lie down with her in her bed until she fell back asleep, and she stopped waking up middle of the night after a few weeks. I’m hoping for the same with the little guy, but he is quite a bit more stubborn.

I kinda wish I had an anterior placenta. I haven't been able to sleep past three nights because the baby is kicking me so hard, and nonstop, and it's painful, and I just want to sleep. But also, I know if she stopped now, I'd freak out. So... Not to mention the anxiety/breathing issues are just getting worse, and I'm just drained from the mental/physical toll it's taking on me. At least H is off today, and tomorrow, so I can get a little break from toddler. Ha, me too lately. LO has had the hiccups a lot and I caught DS’s stomach bug so that has not been helping the constant nausea. I was hoping for a chill third child, but she just about knocked the Doppler out of the doctor’s hand at my last appointment, so I think I’m going to have my hands full! She’s sitting really high so my reflux has been out of control and it’s getting much harder to catch my breath. Forget real bras for the next few months as the bands don’t fit anymore. Could be worse - at least no hemorrhoids or leaking pee....or that horrible crotch pressure I had with DS the whole second half of pregnancy. I know all the symptoms will just get worse, so counting the positives! Omg the crotch pressure tarheelmom is real! I don't remember having this with DS.

kaeguri - Right now it’s a complete. My doctor said they typically resolve themselves so they’ll re-check me at 28 weeks. If it hasn’t resolved, they’ll schedule me for my c-section 1-2 weeks early to avoid me going into labor naturally since there’s a risk of hemorrhaging.

I’ve been pretty MIA here lately because life is just busy! I’ve been so tired trying to keep up to my kids who have unlimited energy!
Had my first OB appointment last week and it was literally 30 seconds long as he had to rush to a delivery. My first was born during office hours so it was karma.

Also add me to the anterior placenta club! It’s such a change from my first pregnancies when I felt movement so early on and constantly.

Something changed today. It was a familiar pregnancy feeling but I couldn’t place what it was. Not kicks or flutters people talk about.
Then tonight it hit me. BH. Yay. I’ve definitely been busy and active the last three days so I shouldn’t be surprised. They are so subtle at 19 weeks compared to 39 weeks though!

There are times I think I have but I could also chalk it up to gas. Mine are really recognizable - just had them for the first time this pregnancy last week (25wks). I don’t think I had them before 3rd tri in the previous two pregnancies, but then were pretty frequent in the last 10w or so. I’m really bad about hydrating and resting and have been ama all 3 pregnancies, so I think those contribute. Maybe you’re lucky enough that you haven’t experienced any yet!

Mine aren't painful, it's more of a tightening just under the skin that goes all the way across the belly. They can be painful for some though. It's more of an annoyance at this point.

I'm pretty sure I've never felt a BH. I know they can be annoying for folks so I should be grateful but after two inductions I wonder if my body knows what the heck it is supposed to do.

I don't think I had BH last time and I haven't felt any yet with this pregnancy. They sound annoying so I'm not complaining!
I caught DD's plague so I'm home today. I sent her to daycare even though she still has a cough. Other than the cough she's totally normal and high energy. I just couldn't care for her today.

klw, I'm sorry. I hope the transfusion helps your mom feel better. kaeguri, I hope you've talked to your ob about the anxiety you are having. There are things they can do to help whether it's meds or therapy or something else.

I had timeable BH throughout the third tri with DS. They never turned into anything, but they were annoying. I've only had a few in the evenings so far this time.
DS hasn't slept enough over the last couple of days so he's a mess, which means I'm a mess too. Me being a mess is obviously nothing new.

I think I had some BH a few weeks ago. I drank extra water and they seemed to stop. It was the tightening across the bottom of the stomach area. I didn't have them/couldn't feel them with DD.

There are times I think I have but I could also chalk it up to gas. For me it almost felt like my stomach was dropping. Similar to the sensation you get on a roller coaster. Then I felt my tummy last night during one and it was firm and it lasted less than a minute so that convinced me they're BH contractions.

I don't think I've had any BH yet, but I can't be sure. I didn't realize what they were with my first until about 22 weeks. They started several weeks prior but only when I was running. I chalked it up to some weird stretching while I exercised. It wasn't until I started getting them throughout the day that I realize what they were. I've found getting them that early and frequent, especially with a first, isn't typical so maybe you've never experienced one!

I didn't realize I was having BH with DD until I went in at 35w+ and the NP was like "that's a contraction". I'd had them for weeks when I was walking or something, but hadn't really noticed. I've for sure already had them this time/ I was really thankful to be induced last time because I think I would have written off labor as just some normal pregnancy discomfort. We'll see what happens this time.

klw keeping your mom in my thoughts, I hope the transfusion gives her some relief. <3 Long rant ahoy! I had the worst experience with a trainer last night. 20somethibg dudebro who has obviously never has no clue what he’s doing with pregnant ladies in a gym setting. At one point he tried getting me to do jump squats when I was having some major lightning crotch and needed to step squat instead. A friend even pulled him aside to ask if he realized I’m pregnant, his response: I do, now. But that didn’t stop him from telling me to keep my core tight! I tried explaining that a baby was currently splitting my abs in two and I couldn’t flex them if I tried, he doubled down and told me keeping a core tight was even more important than ever. The last burner of the night was a sit-up tabata,, which is obviously out of the question so I was doing planks instead. He came over to me as if to correct my modification but fortunately the head trainer stopped him in time. This is after a 500m in decent time and a 400m run (in not so decent time, but whatever). I’m going to have to educate this fool on pregnancy modifications, and also reading a person to determine if they’re injured/pregnant or just dogging it. I’m annoyed and insulted that it wasn’t obvious I’m pregnant, he really thought I was just super fat in my tummy? I mean, people put weight on in all sorts of places but I thought I was cute/pregnant, not fat/pregnant. Also, I’m slightly concerned I overdid it even with my modifications because I think I’m feeling less movements today than previous weeks. I still feel little kicks here and there but not like earlier this week.
