27, and we sold it 8 years later( a month ago). We’re renting now until we can find something to buy locally, ideally when the market calms down a little.

Bought my first house at 24 and am still living in it about 7 years later. Unless something big changes we will probably live here for most or all of our lives.

Got a house by marriage age 28. We bought a rental property together when I was 30.
My H bought his first house in his mid 20s which is the property I inherited by marriage. We just sold it (I’m 31 now) and bought another house together but he lived in that house for 16-17 years.

I was 30. We still own it and rent it out after buying a new house last year.

We bought our townhouse when we were both 32. We plan to move in 2-3 years when we outgrow it and have built up more equity/savings.

Bought a condo at 25. H moved in when we were both 30, we bought our current house at 32.
We rented the condo out for about 4.5 years and just sold it this past December.
This is not our forever house, we don’t think. In 2-4 years we will be looking to either move or make significant changes, like adding a second story.

We bought when I was 24, in 2011. Almost 7 years later and we still live there and probably will until this second kid gets a bit older.

26 and still there almost 10 years later. I kind of want a new house but I also like to be able to vacation/buy stuff without having to worry too much about saving up so I think we'll stay where we're at.

I was with H when he bought a house at 24 and went through the process with him. So I choose 24. We sold the house last April because we had to move for work. We bought our second house (my first being on the paperwork) at 34.

I bought a condo at 23. We lived there for 5 years. We don’t live there but we did keep it as an investment property and we rent it out.

28, and I still live there, kind of sort of. Technically, we're squatters in the house. We don't own it and we don't pay rent.
We move into our new house on the 26th... once it's rid of the squatters who are currently living in it, don't own it, and don't pay rent.

The best part for us is we bought in 1997 and worked our asses of and had it paid off in 2006. Taxes still suck though, lol.

@dazedandconfused, that's amazing! Thanks. It’s really worked out because we have been able to save the mortgage money to fund all of our renovations.

I was 24 and DH was 26, that was 14 years ago. We are currently in our third home and considering a move, which really should be our forever home.

H & I were both 21 when we bought our home, which we still live in 10 years later. We bought when the market was super low, making it such an amazing buy. The best I can describe our house is it’s sort of like a duplex, in that it’s fully the size of a house inside, but we are actually connected on 2 walls. It’s a small little association of these houses in a circle, so the thing I want the most in a new house is to live on the street (rather than right now you have to walk up a hill into our circle), & to have a regular sized yard. I love our house & it has served us so well, but I do really look forward to hopefully buying our next & hopefully “forever” home in a few years.

How can you afford to buy a house at 20, 21, 22?!?!? That's mind blowing to me. I'm not even close at 25...

We bought our first house at 25. We've lived in it for going on two years. I foresee maybe 5 more years before we move and then no more owning anything. Or at least no more owning anything where we are in charge of maintaining it.

23, and yes. We will be here until we hypothetically move closer to family (multiple states away).

We were 28 and not married or even engaged, but had been together for 8 years. Looking back I can’t believe I agreed to buy such a serious fixer upper but 7 years later it’s turned into a great little house for us.
