Yes, the wind was bad for us too yday. I cane home from work to find one of our patio chairs in the middle of the road!! It really was awful. And we're expecting a little more snow tomorrow and a decent amount on Saturday. At least it'll melt quickly.

guster the property (besides the house) looks beautiful with all the trees. But holy shit, that driveway would scare me with too much snow and any amount of ice! I'd be so worried about sliding into the house!

We are just hanging out at home today... again. I'm trying to organize and get rid of as much stuff as I can. I want to move with as little as possible. Are you deep in unpacking guster ?? I hate moving so much. I'm actually doing pretty well. The snow, and then the rain and wind really kept us grounded, not much to do, but unpack. I have 3 boxes of summer clothes in our bedroom and one box of china in the living room. I haven't even looked at the basement, but it's mostly big Tupperware containers of Christmas decorations that need to be moved to a corner. We have curbside garbage pick up here, and after living in a townhouse forever where we didn't do any of that this is new to me. So last night, MH drags the cans to the end of the driveway, and I look out about five minutes later and the recycling container (which is full of packing paper) has tipped over and paper has blown not only all over our yard but the woods around our property and into our neighbors' woods and yard. I ran outside and tried to pick everything up (but the wind is blowing like crazy making the paper fly even farther away; i'm getting caught in sticker bushes and probably walking through poison ivy). So as I'm walking back up to the can with all of the paper, they BOTH tip over and now I have garbage everywhere plus more paper blowing in the wind. Next thing I know, the neighbor has driven over to help because she saw me struggling outside. She was so nice and probably thought "Who the heck is this hot mess that moved in next to me?" needless to say, we called the garbage pick up company and changed tge service to driveway pick up. I'm not doing that again. LOL. I feel like the first thing I warn my neighbors about is our ridiculous wind and the troubles with recycling day. thankfully our company just switched to big 95gallon recycling and not open boxes

guster our lids don’t snap shut either. If it’s windy DH puts an old paver block, that weighs like 15lbs, on top of the lid to keep it shut. Also putting the trash out in the morning helps too.

trtlcrzy, I don't think I can put anything on top of the can because it's not a group of people who loaded into the truck, but that mechanical arm.
