cagoldi, any word on discharge for P? Not just yet, I'll call for an update soon. She has developed a raging diaper rash that has come open and bled, so I need them to address that and get it under control. I want her to come home, but not with open sores on her bottom that could get infected.

We just started a whole new butt care routine involving a powder, spray and cream. Nothing is working.

I've lost myself in the great british baking show. Blaming you nam2013 . And now I want to make a cake lol. That is just the best show. No cutthroat or mean spirited people on it. I've liked every contestant. And I really want Mel and Sue to follow me me around and comment upon life. Oh. And Mary Berry. She's just the sweetest. Its a peaceful show to watch. Much different than American cooking shows lol. We literally have one called "Cutthroat Kitchen"

Hi.
Nothing but work going on for me today. I might try to go to the gym after work if I can leave a bit early. I signed up at the Y this week so I can get back into a routine of working out. There is one so close to my house I could walk there if I chose to. There is also one next door to M2's daycare. My goal for now is to get there twice a week. I just need to start feeling better and hopefully have more energy. I NEED to make time for this, so we'll see how it goes.

And the grand prize is a bouquet of flowers and an engraved cake plate. How quaint is that?!

wineallthetime and cagoldi do you have the ggandlee recipe* for the diaper rash. J had an awful one with open wounds and it calmed it within a day. I always have some made up now so even the smallest redness gets a little so it stops it immediately. *Mix equal amounts of lotrimin (or nystatin) with max strength desitin (or some other equivalent, I just use penaten or burts bees 40%) with 1% hydro cortisone.

I think while the babies are in the hospital's care they have to use what the hospital provides, right? I could be wrong on that. I just didn't think they would allow you to bring in other creams/concoctions.

I mentioned this to the nurse last night and she agreed to put in an order for Nystatin so they could use that magical concoction.

I wanted to bring in Water Wipes and the nurses said no, but eff it, I'm still taking a package this afternoon.

I feel like lfig had some sort of miracle cream from when they were in the hospital. I’m sure the rashes on preemies are worse because their skin is so thin. When my nephew was in the nicu he had a breathing tube across his nose held on by medical tape. One of the nurses pulled off some of his cheek skin with it and he still has a scar at 11.

I didn’t realize until lunch time that *tw* today is the anniversary of baby Owen’s death. The girls and I are going to visit his grave. I’d like to bring flowers but I don’t think they’d last long since there’s still snow on the ground and it’s supposed to be cold all week.

wineallthetime, cagoldi, and anyone else with littles who cares.... When S was in the NICU they had this cream that they provided. We took every tube we could get our hands on. It’s expensive to buy but sooooo worth it. It’s a miracle cream.

Stop at Micheal's and get something.
