Still no positive OPK, so I'm getting a little nervous since I had an 18 mm follie on Friday. I'm looking at another U/S and possible trigger on Wednesday if nothing happens tomorrow.
Anyone else here typically O late? I feel like I don't know what to expect with my body since I normally wouldn't O until around CD 20 on an unmedicated cycle.

Just chiming in - I usually O anywhere from CD18-CD20. My first cycle on meds it’s usually around the same, on subsequent months I O earlier. The earliest I’ve ever O’d on meds was CD13. What day are you on now? Are you doing OPKs multiple times a day? I would usually do one around 11am, 2pm, and 6pm. I tended to pull + OPKs in the afternoon evening.

Thanks, that sounds similar to me! My RE thought I would likely O a few days earlier than usual because of the meds. Today is CD 15. I'm doing OPKs 2x/day, first thing in the morning and again mid-day (my RE requested one between noon and 3 pm). I could add one in the evening though - it couldn't hurt!

Bluebird I think this is your first medicated cycle? If not ignore me, but my RE started me on a lower dose which didn’t work the first cycle so he increased my femara dosage if I wasn’t O’ing early enough. I normally O cd18-22 on my own. The meds have pushed me way earlier, cd13-14, but it took some med adjustment to get there. My second medicated cycle I O’d cd16. And sometimes it just doesn’t work at all for me. Like last cycle I didn’t O until super late even on the meds, but then this cycle I did on the same dose. It’s a lot of trial and error! But hopefully not too much!

It always takes me a couple days to adjust to the fact that it’s a new month. Lol. We really need to do our taxes!!

Bluebird In unmedicated cycles, I typically don’t O until CD40ish, once as late as CD72 if I remember right. The meds can do funny things like obscureference mentioned.

Thanks obscureference! This is my first medicated cycle. It is helpful for me to hear about your experience, and I’ll try to just be patient and see what happens the next few days. 😊

Just sitting here at 4dpo after our first IUI. I started testing out my trigger today (6dpt). I'm not one to test early (or at all really) but since my LP is on the shorter side (10-11 days) I didn't want to be guessing if the trigger was still in my system if I do make it past my usual LP.

orangehibiscus Ouch! That is a chunk to owe all at once! charliefox I’m glad someone started it! Who knows how long it would have taken me to remember it’s a new month 😂 Also, I’m interested to see how long it takes your trigger to disappear. They told me not to test for 14 days. Ugh.

Yeah, hearing that amount sucked a lot obscureference. I’ve used Ovidrel and Pregnyl for trigger. I think they were both gone by 10DPO (12DPT).

I've heard/read that your trigger can take up to 14 days (so around 12dpo) which is why they tell you to wait. I have a blood test scheduled for 13dpo and I would much rather see the test (+ or -) with H by my side than wait for the nurse to call, which is why I want to test out my trigger and then be able to actually test if I get that far (again, LP is usually only around 11 days). GL to you holding out! When will 14dpo be?

charliefox My LP on femara has lengthened from 11-12 days to 14-15 days so I am waiting until Friday the 13th which would be 17 dpo. That is so freaking far away. Also I have a general question. It seems like most of you have o’d 48 hours after trigger is that right? I am pretty sure I o’d 12 hours after mine and I’m worried that is not normal!

The trigger acts like your natural LH surge, where you O about 12-48 hours later. I think with the trigger the "average" is 36 hours but not to say that earlier isn't normal. Did you do IUI or just TI this cycle? I think they usually schedule IUIs 24hours after trigger to make sure the sperm is waiting for the egg if you O at the 36 hour mark. If you are doing or plan on doing IUIs and suspect you O earlier then I'd mention it to your RE. This was my first trigger and I did the shot on Tues at 3:30pm (IUI 24 hours later) and then O'd sometime on Thurs (according to my temps/CM).

Thanks charliefox. We just did TI this cycle and I’m not sure if we’ll move on to IUI but I will definitely tell them I think I o’d only 12 hours after the trigger. I was thinking about that like, how would that have worked with an IUI?! I mean all I’m going on is o pain, too, so not exactly super reliable.

Awesome Bluebird! I hope your IUI goes well. I think I have O’d about 36-40 hours after trigger, but I can’t remember exactly obscureference.

Yeah, I would tell them and they may want to do an extra u/s just to make sure they don't do an IUI after the fact but I agree that O pain isn't super reliable. FX, I'll be thinking about you as we move into next week!

Updates anyone?? How is everyone doing?
I finished my Femara, and I will be starting Follistim tonight. Has anyone injected anything into their own leg? I’ve heard it’s better than the belly, but I’m skeptical!

I am going crazy as usual at this point in my cycle (9 dpo). I had some cramping yesterday that made me feel hopeful, but really I’ve had every symptom in the book over the last 21 months and not been pregnant once so my hopeful phase doesn’t last long. Plus I still have over a week before I plan to test. I wonder if I can actually hold out. Probably not.

I’m team pee on everything obscureference, so there’s no way I can wait very long. I get my hopes up every single time. I never learn. I hope that was implantation cramping for you!

orangehibiscus, I mean, the belly is pretty easy so that's good news it the leg is easier! GL! obscureference, I'm with yah - 7dpo and totally symptom spotting. My trigger shot (9dpt) is still very much showing up on hpts (light but definitely darker than a squinter), I really hope it goes away soon.

charliefox The trigger shot is the only reason I am going to be able to not test I think. I really cannot see a positive test and then it turn out to be the trigger! I hope yours disappears soon!!
