Saw the RE yesterday and we are upping my dose of Femara to 7.5 mg this round. She is hoping for more than one follicle this time and wants to do the IUI same day if I get a morning OPK+ again. Yay more follicles! What dose were you on before? Most things I read on the interwebs said that the general dose is 2.5 but my RE started me at 5. I should have asked her about it.

I also started at 5mg charliefox. I’ve not heard of anyone started at 2.5mg. That smaller dose has another purpose not for TTC. I’m sure that it’s possible there are people out there that started on 2.5mg for TTC though.

Hi friends, I'm quietly pattering back in. We're back to TTC. Thankful to finally have an answer for our recurrent losses - I'm positive for a genetic mutation (PAI-1) that prevents my body from breaking down blood clots that form, which messes with implantation (and the placenta throughout pregnancy). The treatment is baby aspirin daily, endometrin after O, and Lovenox shots daily after an HPT+. Currently HPT- on 12DPO for our first cycle on treatment, so feel confident enough it's a BFN to rejoin here for the long haul. Sigh. We'll probably have to take off next cycle to take care of a toothache that just appeared...yay. Trying to have a normal marriage/sex life when I'm on endometrin suppositories is impossible. Within a few days (TMI WARNING) I am so sore and raw and swampy down there that there's no way I am participating in any kind of action. It's a real downer, we're in our first year of marriage and it's just not cool. Sorry to bring a dark cloud in here but I am thankful to have fellow IFers to call friends. **Loss Warning** We got pregnant in Feb but had a loss at 6 weeks. charliefox I ovulate on my own and only had 1 follicle each of the three cycles I did Femara. I had a bazillion in the cycles I did injects (had to cancel each time). Femara just doesn't do anything for my body I guess. I can't imagine overresponding on it. I hope you don't either!

I’m so sorry you’re back here and for your losses sunshiney! I’m glad you have an answer for your losses and a game plan for your next pregnancy. All the hugs!

Had my monitoring ultrasound today, one follie at 22 (and a small one at 13, but maybe just maybe it will have a huge growth spurt). Triggered tonight for a IUI on Wed morning.
If this cycle doesn’t work out I’m curious what we’ll change next cycle in hopes of getting more than one follicle.

Just here ranting and venting. I'm worried I messed up and will O today before my IUI tomorrow.
The ILs were here over the weekend so I kept forgetting to start OPKs. I did one yesterday morning (cd13) and it wasn't positive but it wasn't light either. Triggered last night since I had a 22mm follicle. Today my temp took a big dip and I'm worried it means O today. I am kicking myself for not doing OPKs Sat and Sun. I know the egg can live for 12-24 hours but my IUI isn't until noon tomorrow so if I do O today I feel like the IUI will be a total bust. Obviously, we've still had sex so I won't be completely out, just a waste of money.
If my temp spikes tomorrow can they do some sort of check before the IUI to see if I've already O'd?

charliefox Can you call and explain what’s going on and move the IUI to tomorrow morning? I’ve never had an IUI, but my understanding is that they can do an US before IUI to see if you have O’d yet or not.

charliefox I agree with orangehibiscus, I had this happen to me and they did an u/s, saw the fluid that indicated ovulation was currently happening, and we did the IUI. Good luck whatever you choose, I hope your temp is still down in the morning!!

orangehibiscus and sunshiney - thanks for the responses. Due to mine and H's schedules there's really no way to do it any earlier than what my appointment for tomorrow is already set at. If my temp spikes in the morning then I will definitely call them and see if we should change anything.

Temp super spiked this morning, I’m 100% sure I O’d yesterday but my REs office wants to go ahead with the IUI. I’m so pissed at myself and the universe that this is harder than it should be. FX that little egg has a long life.

charliefox Are they going to do an ultrasound to check? I’m sorry. My OPK was getting close to positive today so I’m hoping that means I’ll be ready to trigger tomorrow night. We’ll see what they say tomorrow at my monitoring appointment.

My monitoring appointment was ok. My right ovary is a pain and hard for her to see so she’s not sure how many follies I had but she saw one big one (23mm) so I’m triggering tonight. She also said my lining looks good.

Unexpected early + OPK, so IUI is scheduled for tomorrow!
The on call nurse was so nice and was cheering and telling me how excited she was that MH is in town this time and we can use fresh instead of frozen. I appreciate her enthusiasm. 😊🤞🤞🤞
