Dang that's a strict code tgrimes. Cadence has to wear a uniform, but if she doesn't they don't really care.

klong11 Of course I've already been looking at dresses/skirts for M....& she hasn't even gotten in yet. I'll just call it early research for kindergarten.

Just dropped Cadence at school after her Dr appointment. He said it is looking better, but we're going to give it 4 more months before we discuss braces. He said summer would not be fun for braces. So for now we just continue our monthly pt.
Cadence has now had 2 instances where she said she needed to poop and then nothing happens. I made her teacher aware, so hopefully there isn't some major poop explosion.

It's another possible government shutdown weekend...again SSDD as this is the 3rd time this year. Way to go Trump administration.

Permits will be in place March 29. Easter is that weekend so weather pending, hopefully the week after. My builder had his quarterly mission trip to Haiti and forgot to submit the permits before he left and that delayed us. Not going to get mad about it since he literally built them a school while he was there. He "adopted" 2 kids there and covers all their expenses and goes 4 times a year to visit and help their community.

Finally got the bank account open for my dad's estate. I've been dragging my feet on it, but I'll need somewhere for the house money to go as well as his mineral interest money. Then we'll divide it into the trusts after I get those set up.
I have the day off to get things done, but I'm back at home watching more episodes of Love.

tgrimes I’m feeling a bit better from yesterday, but voice still hoarse and neck still sore. We already signed O up for kindergarten. He still needs two more shots though before the first day of school. We are getting his progress report today from pre-k and plan on sitting down with his teachers next week. They verbally told me he is doing great and is academically at the top of his class. But i want to talk to them about how he is doing socially and ask that they request he not be in the same class as two kids who i know are trouble makers and boss him around.

Morning. I had a patient information thing for PID last night and I learned quite a bit, glad I decided to go. Supposedly I need to make sure not to be around the kids when they have a CP or MMR vaccine. LOL. Not sure how I'm supposed to manage that... chrisy01 how's L feeling today?

Omg I guess I missed that some of the kiddos are going to kindergarten! That is so exciting/sad all at the same time!! 😭 Gunner for sure need another pre-k year... which is another thing I will have to look around for once we move. 🤦🏼♀️ Hope you hear good new about your FIL soon mwhip! I think I got all my Easter stuff done today... except for baskets. I still don’t gave any 😬 I think I’ll order some nice ones afterwards to be the ones we use forever. tgrimes Maybe M will see that everyone is wearing the same type of clothing and that will make it an easier transition 😬🤞🏼 ... and just promise her all pink, all weekend 😉

That dress code is basically uniforms without uniforms; I think that is basically what public schools in my hometown have gone to. I think you’re right about it being an affordability issue tgrimes, especially in big urban areas. I went to private school and had a really strict dress code all through growing up, particularly in middle and high school—in some ways uniforms would have been easier. So I guess it’s not that shocking to me 🤷🏻♀️

The snow is melting quickly. H is working from home again so I'm being lazy again. Just picked us up lunch. I need to track down the baby gates to puppy proof this place.

We got about 2-3 inches of snow from yesterday's storm. It's all melted, taking some from the last storm with it.

And then obviously P will still need everything.

Lol guster I love your zest for the random frapps I know! And I don't even like them ! My typical Starbucks order is so boring -- either at tall cold brew, or a grande lowfat flat white. Maybe once or twice during the holiday season I'll try a holiday spice or a peppermint mocha. You should try the iced cinnamon dolce latte. It’s my favorite.

I can't believe some of our N13s are starting kindergarten this fall. Cass has a year of pre-k first and I'm glad to have a little more time.
I was always very anti-school uniform and still am. Kids clothes are cute so I'd probably still buy just as much stuff. Ironically I loved wearing uniforms in the military and it made things so easy (minus the dress uniforms--those could DIAF). No worries about what to wear. Work clothes are boring so I get no joy from picking out what I'm wearing each work day so I might as well be in a uniform.

I used to be anti school uniform when I was in school. But in the school district we live in, most of the schools are Title 1 and the kids can barely afford food let alone a bunch of clothes. I think this "uniform" sort of levels the playing field a bit.

I think I would have disliked wearing a uniform to school daily. Now I'm all for it, make the morning routine easier, there is no judging other kids based on the clothes/brands they wear, etc. E will go to the same public school I went to, I don't see them over switching to uniforms. Around here, uniforms at school are only for the private schools.
FILs BP is still high (164 over something, H and I can never remember the low number), so they're talking about moving him to a regular patient room out of the ICU. I'm happy about this, I don't think he's ready to go home, with his BP that high and not walking very steady, plus he will continue to stay monitored because I'm still not feeling very good about the neurologist (I looked him up) saying it was due to his BP, drinking and smoking. I wish I could take E to see him, it would really cheer him up, but she has a cold, so she shouldn't be in a hospital.

Any of your kids have to take a Test (WPSSI??- not sure the correct letters ) to get in to pre-k or K? We were notified this past October that M had to have it to go into PK-4. They offered it during the school day and we got a letter the day after he was evaluated letting us know it took place. The results were all good. Just wondered if this was a nationwide thing or just school preferred.

I'll have to see how long they are shedding the virus. It just feels funny to say, "I need to leave my kids and stay in a hotel for a few days. For medical reasons." LOL

Did they give you a time limit for how long you should be away from them after a shot cagoldi?? Not sure. The nurses I was with last night said to check with the pedi and my Immunologist. I just checked X's shot record and he doesn't get MMR and Varicella again until his third birthday, so I'm good with him for awhile. It will just be Poppy's shots that are an immediate concern.

Glad your fil is being taken care of, mwhip. No test for preschool or K here -- from what I hear of the kindergarten screening it's mostly a bunch of memorization – do they know their address, phone number. Can they count, spell their names, name the shapes, alphabet, etc.

I would have hated to wear a uniform in school, but I wouldn't mind it for Josie if we had some freedom within it. I guess more dress code over uniform/driven would be preferred. Now as for myself as a stay at home mom, yes, please give me a uniform. i'm basically in leggings and a tunic every day, anyway.
