This week was emotionally hard on me. I had a photo shoot at Epcot with the kids before the park opened on Saturday. We stayed and did a couple of rides and had lunch. Then home for green eggs and ham - st. paddy's day in my house is more like dr. suess' birthday this year. yea for me?
Yesterday had a birthday party at an obstacle course in the trees - i had to be more active in it then i anticipated and A was scared. It was pretty hard to help her and keep the 2 yo on the ground moving along.
Both kids were overtired this weekend and full of piss and vinegar. I need a freaking break. It's been a tough time lately for me with them. And C's temp kept rising and he has a terrible cough and runny nose. I am scared his double ear infection didn't clear 100%.
But i started today with fanceh coffee.....

Not much else happening here

You’ve got this RunsforWineandCarbs. Do whatever you need to to make it through until your H gets back— fanceh coffees, takeout for dinner, having the kids watch a movie, etc.

H and I leave for Panama on Wednesday. P is staying with my parents. I am getting such anxiety leaving her! This is not founded in anything. My parents are great with her. H and I have just never left her together for more than an overnight before (and that was only once!)

RunsforWineandCarbs, hang in there. (for the next trip at this point) I agree to do whatever you need to get through! coconutbacon, yay! I'm so jealous that you are going to Panama! Where? We "accidentally" spent a night in Panama once en route to Colombia when our plane was delayed... jedi, hope you have fun at the zoo! armpants, hugs. I caught up on your posts from last week. No advice but it sounds like you are on the right track. And finally, shellyr!!! So much excitement this week!

DD coughed too hard last night around 10 and threw up a little. Just enough to have to change her bedding and PJs but not enough for a full on bath. So that was fun because I was JUST about to go to sleep.
Then 2:30 AM came around and one of the freaking smoke detectors started chirping (low battery). Since this house is new construction, there is a smoke detector in EVERY.SINGLE.ROOM. Guess how fun that was trying to find which one had the low battery.
Then around 4:00 AM a bird or something hit one of the windows of the house. Of course my alarm goes off at 4:45... So.. I never fell asleep. I've been awake since 2:30 AM today.

I did SO much laundry yesterday & organized my bedroom closet since we were still pulling clothes from boxes. I also unpacked all the bathroom stuff. It isn't well organized, but it's at least out of boxes and can be seen on the door rack/bathroom shelves.

Thanks for the love, everybody. My dad had a transplant overnight. It took longer than expected so the new kidney is waking up slower than I would like. He's stable in the ICU. I moved back to the Midwest to be able to be present for this kind of stuff and now I'm out of commission.
Baby is still scheduled for induction tomorrow. I'm exhausted. I want to postpone. But this is a medical induction, not an elective induction, so I'm just going to go through with it and hope I have stamina.
I'm not working today. H went to work, which is totally annoying.

RunsforWineandCarbs, Thanks! Kiddo 1 is at home with our nanny (who is also my sister). I can't eat anything particularly delicious until after the placenta is out, but I am treating myself to a salon mani-pedi this afternoon. I just called and scheduled an appointment.

shellyr I'm sorry that the timing of your dad's surgery worked out the way it did. So many good thoughts for quick healing for him. Maybe a grocery trip to get a few yummy things you haven't been able to have so they'll be there when you get home? Hugs momma, I'm still holding out hope this baby will get things going before you are induced. If not I hope the induction goes well. Lots of love for you.

I'm so freaking nervous that this new kidney is not going to work. Poor baby is getting a crap ton of cortisol right before delivery.

Betweenthelines, my sister did when i was young. my friends husband did recently. i feel like his recovery at the older age was a bit tougher than my sisters at a younger age. But it is a very common surgery and low risk. The patient is in and out. if there is pain in the right side, like extreme pain, and vomitting you need to see your doctor. those are signs of appendicitis. Thinking of you.

OMG - I am doing 21day fix extreme now. I must be crazy, it's a bit too extreme. But i finished yesterdays workout and todays. My shoulders hate me.
And my throat is hurting again - can this be allergies? seriously, i've never really had allergies so i don't know.

armpants , RunsforWineandCarbs , H has been having pais for the last few months. He thought kidney stones, but it's been often and getting worse. I finally lost my shit on him and put it into perspective that if he didn't get himself to a doctor , and this is worse than he thinks, there is no telling what could happen to him. He went to a urologist Friday and they sent him for a CT, which was yesterday. Urologist left him a message shortly after his CT basically saying there is no issues in the kidneys but they found a growth on his appendix that needs to be removed ASAP. "you will be fine, but just call me back so we can take care of this" was how he ended the message. So H called him and of course could not get a hold of the Dr.. So we're still waiting to even speak to the Dr about this mf'ing message that he left us hanging with. But it looks like H is on the road to get his appendix removed. Do I get a trophy for most stressful 2018 so far?
