sasam I hope the plumbing issues are easily fixable this time. Toilet overflow/flooding/pipe stuff is one of my top worries in being a homeowner. I'm sure it will happen to us eventually.

I guess between all the plunging and drain snaking that DH did helped and the clog was cleared out by the time the plumber got here. We had him check everything and he said all seemed just fine! So that makes me feel a little better. But yes, plumbing issues cause a lot of anxiety! No fun!

kaeguri Do you have a local YMCA? At ours I pay $29 a month for just me to be a member, it's $40 for me and the kids. They have preschool at ours and for members it's only $46 a month. Everywhere else I've seen/heard doesn't come close to that price.

Those can cause a lot of plugging issues for homeowners and cities alike.
I don't often hear of plumbing issues on a upper floor as gravity takes care of it. I hope it's not a recurring problem for you.

Feeling like there's not enough coffee in the world today.
All of a sudden my toddler is very....two. The tantrums, hitting, pulling my hair. Ugh. He moved up rooms at daycare last month and has been acting out since. He also started sucking his thumb at that time. I can't say I'm a fan. Daycare never has a bad thing to say about him so his behavior must be ok there, but I should probably talk to them to make sure he is doing ok.

We don't. I've always been too paranoid to use them! haha. Thanks, hope we don't have any more issues with it too!

Our AS went great yesterday, everything is just fine in there, anatomy (boy) matches chromosomes!
I found out that his placenta is anterior, which explains a lot about where I'm feeling/not feeling kicks.

Also, I'm wearing my favorite maternity pants, from Loft, and I just want to plug them again. The belly panel is 2 layers (like a folded over tube), so it doesn't have the weird pantyhose band at the top. I'm regretting that I've already washed and worn my navy blue gap pants, but I think I will be signing up for sale emails from them for a bit to see if I can get jeans or something. I also really want olive green pants, but they don't have any

I bought strawberry newtons and I don't love them. Luckily there's only 20 in the package so if I bring 3 every day with my work lunch they will go fast. I love the fig ones though.

notmoose, the nearest Y that has a preschool/child care option is 45 min away . And she'd have to be potty trained. The only other thing they have for kids her age is a mommy and me yoga class. Le sigh. I hate living so far from town. PennyCandy, I feel you on the tantrums. Today, E either couldn't or wouldn't tell me what she wanted, so she was just rolling on the kitchen floor kicking and screaming. I finally got her to stop hitting me when she's angry, so now she just hits inanimate objects, like my cabinets, and it's so noisy. I'm so over today.

My 4 year old has show and share today and is supposed to bring her favourite book. This is her choice. I don’t think the preschool teacher will approve.. haha.

I'm appalled at how extra many of your IL's are. I'm sorry to those of you who have to deal with that! tarheelmom - GL at your glucose test! Whoohoo, I passed! My 1hr was still a little high, but the other 3 draws were perfectly fine. 2 more months of no finger pricking before GD inevitably kicks in. This is also a relief since an “early” diagnosis of GD is more often an indication of being prediabetic as opposed to pregnancy induced. I know my weight is higher than it should be, so that is something I worry about.

Ultrasound today went well! Still don't know the gender, but they moved our anatomy scan up by a week, so now we only have a 2 week wait instead of 3.

Mine isn't until 21 weeks, so I have 3 weeks and 2 days to wait. And it's in the afternoon so MH can't go. But they record it onto a DVD so that's cool.

Ugh my OB canceled my a/s right as I was walking out of my house for the appt via text and an automated message, but their phone lines were down so I couldn't call back to reschedule. And H is working a ton of overtime from now til the end of April, so he might not get to see now. I'm already 22 weeks, I just want to seeeeeeee.

I'm probably going to stop scheduling Thursday morning appts with my OB as I've had to reschedule two out of four appts. She often books a c-section for the morning. Which is fine, and they always call right away to reschedule me, but at this point I think I'll stick to afternoons. I'm tired of having to call them back lol. And if I end up having to have a scheduled c-section it better be in the morning 😉

So I had an interesting appointment on Monday. I'm not sure if anyone remembers me talking about this, but my OB requested the notes from DS's birth to figure out exactly what happened to create his arm injury. Well, she said that the notes provided were the shortest notes she's ever seen. Also, there was no mention of any complications, which, is not true at all. She said that she didn't want to accuse the doctor that delivered DS of this, but she said that sometimes when there is a fear of being sued, they'll leave out any detail that could implicate them. I'm pissed. It kind of validates all of the anger I had about my delivery. Also, it pisses me off because more detailed information would've been very helpful to my OB.
Anyway, we decided that a c-section is still the best option to deliver a healthy baby due to all of the risks.

It's getting up into the 60s and 70s here and I am in need of spring/summer maternity clothes. I don't want to spend the money though.
I'm feeling generally blah this week between lingering cold symptoms, being tired, and DS pushing every button he can.

cara, wow, that really sucks. are you now in a different OB practice? i guess there's no way for your current dr to talk to the previous dr "off the record" about what the details were (assuming they remember)? or would there be any record with your insurance company since there were complications? wouldn't the dr have to justify what lead them to provide various interventions/treatments?

vvvvvfee - Yeah, I'm at a completely different practice. There's not really a way for her to speak to the doctor "off the record" as I live in a different city that's hours away from where I delivered DS. My H mentioned the thought of suing, but honestly, I don't know if putting the energy to doing all that digging will do much. It has been over 4 years so I would have to think too much time has passed. ETA - I'm sure she could attempt to call the previous doctor, but I'd assume he probably either wouldn't remember much, or give her much detail.
