I'm sorry cagoldi wineallthetime , I was also going to suggest tacos or walking tacos. Easy to prep a head of time and minimum cleanup. peachsmama , I like the yellow! It's trendy but a door can easily be painted in the future if you want something different. Thats what I thought too. And I plan to paint it seasonally.. I figure we'll be moving in around summer so this is a nice bright color. Question, do you paint the inside the same color? Is it weird to do it different? flamingo Not flamingo, but the outside of our front door is a dark gray, the inside is white, which matches the trim color. I don't know that I've ever noticed the inside color of someone's front door, unless it was a wood finish.

Coworker is back from vacation and already doing nothing. I asked if if she followed up on something our boss sent since she was here an hour before me. Nope, she hadn't gotten that far yet. Then in the next sentence is telling me about what she's reading online. URGH
My other coworker had a 2nd interview last week for a new job and found out she didn't get it. I was really hoping she would for her sake because she's miserable here and for my sake because she's a lot to handle.

peachsmama, our house is a similar color and our door is red. I love it. The inside is not red.

I've been thinking about this since we started this process a year ago! I go between traditional color and bold about every other day.. I have blue, teal, red, black, yellow, orange - all in my idea book on houzz.

I don't like it though because it brings out the redness of our brick. We need all new doors. You know back in the day if you had a red door that meant it was a brothel. Basically we're whores klong11.

That sucks tgrimes! This has not been a good health year for your kiddos... hopefully this is it for the rest of the year!! I love that my house is now considered a brothel. That's hysterical. I will have to inform MH of this.

M was more concerned about getting H a sucker while we were there.
And she told my MIL that a pink donut would make her feel better so guess where they're headed...

dapostrophe house hunting for us has kind of been at a stand still. We have looked at everything we thought we might like that’s currently on the market so now we just have to wait for something new to pop up. :/ Those houses sound awesome guster! Pools freak me out as well but I wouldn’t rule it out. I told MH if we found a house with a pool we are getting a gate AND a cover. Lol. Can’t wait to see pictures of what you choose! I like that door color peachsmama! Oh noooo tgrimes! G had it last year and she had on and off fever so that makes sense. I hope she feels better soon!

I've seen it painted...see Young House Love for example... and it can be fun, I guess, but my personal opinion is that it works best on a solid front door, as opposed to something with a lot of glass. And even with that said, it's not something I would do personally. I just don't really care to draw attention to it--would rather have another focal point in the entry space.

Love that color, Peach! And like others said, so easy to change! I'd love a fun front door color, but the style of our house and brick color just doesn't really work with a fun color.

I would only ever do a pool if I could afford a salt water one like my neighbors and the company to take care of it. I hated helping my mom with ours when I was little. DNW to care for a pool. And all the kids know how to swim too. Ours here is salt water. I heard it was so much easier but it's still a pain in the butt. B/c you don't have as many (you still have some) chemicals in it you're having to scrub the sides, etc. or it starts to yellow. Lovely. Also down home most people screen in their pools but that doesn't seem as popular elsewhere--no one does it here. So it's constant skimming and cleaning filter baskets if there are any trees nearby (obviously that applies to any type of pool). We pay a pool service $200/month for weekly visits and add-ins. Definitely not something I care to spend money on long-term, especially considering the pool season is so short here (3, 4 months max) and the rest of the year it is just a gross pit. I could have seen us looking at homes with pools when we move back to FL, but this one has cured us ;P

peachsmama What about a blue-green door? One color I love is Benjamin Moore Night Train. I recommended that one to a friend who painted her home gray and they used it on the front door; looks fantastic. It's subtle and not something you'd get tired of, but a bit more fun than black or similar.
