ah both sound lovely! Send them in my price range down here! Funny that pools can be very polarizing, that's on my DNW list - but I'm also lazy and pools take work, and I get nervous with little ones. Can't wait to hear which one you pick! Same. DNW a pool, would much rather have more yard space. I was worried about that, and I was thinking (hoping) the kids would outgrow playing in the yard before they outgrew wanting to hang out in or near a pool.

My parents put in a pool when I was in the 5th grade. We were way past playing in the yard at that point.

I would only ever do a pool if I could afford a salt water one like my neighbors and the company to take care of it. I hated helping my mom with ours when I was little. DNW to care for a pool. And all the kids know how to swim too.

guster we have well water and love it. We have a really good filtration system. We have had it tested and it’s good water! Even better is the pH in it is better for my acid reflux than bottled water. We’ve never had any issues with our system and we’ve lived here 9 years. All of my research is leaning to the idea that as long as you're maintaining it and/or having it checked periodically you will have no problems with it. It sounds like anything else that you requires work: If you let it go for too long, you'll end up with issues, but if you're diligent, then it's all good. But I appreciate a positive anecdote about it! I really think it just depends on the quality of water from each particular well/area. My grandma had one forever and it never caused any plumbing issues and was find to drink, it made your hair and skin feel amazing after a shower.

Im assuming it's part of our ridiculously high taxes. Ours is included in the water bill. Same.

I think around here, the yards aren't generally very big so unless you're looking at homes upwards of $1 million, your pool would literally be your whole yard.
My grandparents home had a good size pool and still a nice sized yard, and if it were a situation like that I'd probably like it fine, although it still wouldn't be a preference.

And all the kids know how to swim too. Salt water pools aren't that more expensive. You just have to get the generator which ranges between $1500-2500. You can also convert a cholrine pool to a saltwater pool. My in laws have a salt water pool and my BIL/SIL converted theirs from a tablet to a generator. You still have to regularly check the levels and add salt.

Re pools If I put up an inflatable 6ft pool my yard is full. I’d loooooove to have a big yard, but I also love to live in the city 🤷🏼♀️.

But a pool like my neighbors. I know what they spent and it's not what most spend on a pool lol. But they tend to do that for everything.

Ugh.
Work is nuts right now. I have this monster of a contract that's going to take forever.
I don't think I'm going to make it out to see my grandma. I can't go this weekend but she's declining fast so I told my mom she should just head there ASAP without me.
She has developed MRSA and has been vomiting since Friday.
Now with the MRSA in play and my history of ABX resistance, my mom thinks it's best if my sister (the one with lupus) and I stay home anyway since we both have no immune system.

Hi btw! Work this morning, to much to do, to little time. Ds had carnaval at school today, so cute all the dressed up kids (think Halloween without the scary part). Dh has to be at school tonight again for parent-teacher meetings, so solo night for me. I’m watching the paradise on Netflix, bbc costume drama, so good.

I think that since you stay home it makes sense if you want one. You will use it a lot during summers. My kids will have to be at camp all summer, so would only get to use it on the weekends, which wouldn't be enough time. There are community pools around here that we will prob try to join once we buy.

What is there other than private garbage? We've always had city pick-up; it gets rolled into our utility bill.

What do we think of this door color. This is about the color our house will be.

peachsmama E plays us too with potty. She can wipe her own bottom at DC, grandparents, but at home, every. damn. time she poops, she hollers for me to come wipe her. We have told her she can't go to school until she an wipe, the teacher won't do it. It isn't helping convince her. I'm so tired of getting up in the middle of dinner to wipe her little butt! Oh no tgrimes, I hope it's nothing serious and they both feel better quickly! Our trash service is contracted through the city, we pay the city one bill for sewer and trash.

I'm sorry cagoldi wineallthetime, I was also going to suggest tacos or walking tacos. Easy to prep a head of time and minimum cleanup. peachsmama, I like the yellow! It's trendy but a door can easily be painted in the future if you want something different.

A mom just walked in to drop her daughter at dc and shes wearing a face mask.....does this mean she is sick or doesn't want to get sick? None of the kids are sick, so it makes me think she is sick. Probably means her daughter is carrying something that the other kids are going to get right? Should I start freaking out about flu? Cause I'm kind of freaking out now.... Don't freak out. She could just have a cold. Plus, there are probably so many germs there already. Or at the grocery store, or play places, or... everywhere! Plus, if she's wearing a mask then chances are she's cautious about germs and not spreading them. L and I both have a stomach bug last week that C and MH didn't get. She also had a cold that none of us caught.

I hate mowing (except for the exercise aspect), it's hot, I get sweaty, so many bugs (and the fucking snakes). I'd love a pool and pretty landscaping to take up a huge portion of our yard so I didn't have to mow as much. peachsmama I love that color, it's similar to ours, although I think ours is a little darker. I don't know how I feel about the yellow door...but I love the gray with white trim.

It's trendy but a door can easily be painted in the future if you want something different. Thats what I thought too. And I plan to paint it seasonally.. I figure we'll be moving in around summer so this is a nice bright color. Question, do you paint the inside the same color? Is it weird to do it different? flamingo
