Today was Super Sandwich day at preschool where we had to send in your kid's favorite sandwich, but no nut products. My kid loves PB&J, so I just sent in a jelly sandwich. Are other people's toddlers eating roast beef sandwiches? What are they expecting here? Sun butter, grilled cheese (mine would give no fucks about it being cold, because toddler). My two year old loves deli turkey.

My kid won't eat pb&j. She loved it for about a week and would request one every day, then suddenly she was like, "um, can you stop giving me pn&j?"
Kids are weird.

I send DD a ham and cheese sandwich almost every day. When it’s not that, she asks for ham and cheese with ritz crackers lol

No further south. It seems like a lot of people on the east coast got it. I just read that- as south as the Carolinas, and as north as Connecticut. Crazy. Definitely crazy. And of course I was less than one minute away from the water when I read that.

Hmmm, now I’m contemplating if I want to allow our future renters to paint? I’m leaning toward only upstairs in the bedrooms, just because it’s kind of open concept and it would be $$ for us to repaint the main areas if they do a crappy job. Can you have it in the lease that they would be required to repaint before moving out and if they don’t it comes out of security deposit to cover costs? I’m sure we could. I just hadn’t thought about it until it was mentioned in the thread. It’s tough because I’m emotionally attached to this house, but at the same time I’m not sure we’ll live here again If we end up back here in the future.

Maybe you could stipulate that any painting be done by pros, and/or that you have to approve colors? Or just no tuscan gold allowed. Yes!! When we bought this house the interior was what I would call Santa Fe stucco. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good. It’s a pretty boring neutral color throughout the main areas now, but it makes the space so much more open.

My preschooler does not like PB&J. But she’ll devour “adult sandwiches”. She’s an odd duck. She also loses her mind for soup, doesn’t matter what kind.

Paraguard? I’m in cramp hell rn. We are riding the condom train right now, but I’ve contemplated Paraguard. I couldn’t pull the trigger. I can commiserate with the pain though. Why do cramps radiate so much?? They make my hips and legs hurt. Maybe I’m weird. So I have paraguard and I absolutely love it. I lucked out and only had bad cramps for the first few cycles and then after that just had a heavier period than normal.

I'm glad to hear a good anecdote since I think I'm getting paraguard next month. I figure I didn't have a period for 15 months last time anyway so hopefully I won't have to worry about cramps for a while anyway.

My periods are still about 5-7 days, minimal cramping.

DS1 used to go HAM on cranberry, turkey, and brie or cucumber and cream cheese. Now it's sunbutter and jelly all day everyday. Or just ham with no cheese or condiments because he doesn't love himself enough. He's much pickier as a 6 yo than he ever was a toddler.
DS2 is striving to be one of those people who swears they can live off sunlight like a plant.

My (older) coworker called me darling in a meeting and I shot him such an intense glare he just came in my office and apologized profusely.
I'm amused.

DS2 had his second set of tubes placed this morning and we’ve been up since 5am since we had to be at the hospital first thing this am. He’s doing amazing and his team of doctors are just the best! I am about to start on another coffee ☕️☕️

My kid loved preschool yesterday and is still snoozing. It’s almost 9. She is going two full days a week for now but I think I want to bump her up to 5 by May. She was so cute when we went to get her and didn’t want to leave.
