Our neighbors took our old queen bed recently for their two year olds room because dad sleeps in there with her all night while mom and the baby share the master. Fuck no. I mean, it's a brand new baby so I give them some grace there but I can't imagine being ok with that whole indefinite situation.

It’s highly likely that I’m overly sensitive to the electricity sounds. I also hate buzzing fluorescent lights.

The only time my kids are allowed to sleep out of their beds is if there is a major sickness (like stomach bug, or really high fever with lots of wake ups where I need to monitor them). we will do camp out in the living room in that case. Mainly because my kids share a room and I do all I can to keep them quarantined from each other when major sicknesses happen

@k3am that looks really nice but I don't love the giant power lines. Are they really right behind the property?

If DS comes into my room with a bad dream, I let him lay in my spot in the bed with his dad and I go sleep on the couch. DNW to sleep with him.

We are getting ready to kick my two year old out of our bed, he ended up with us after he had elevated lead levels and we found the source in his bedroom. We started with him sleeping in his toddler bed in our room, but eventually he just started getting out of his bed and into ours. However he does get put to bed in his own bed every night.
I am not looking forward to the transitioning him back to his room.

Have you tried the compression ones from Old Navy? They are magic. I just realized I have capris, though, not yoga pants. Not sure if they come in that style so this could be very unhelpful. i love my ON yoga pants. They are magic Hm I may need these.

No, but my current favorite are Mossimo from Target. I love them. oldnavy.com has 30% off with the code HURRY

I feel the key to sleep training is (whatever method you pick) start early and repeat often. I feel like I have to elaborate on our sleep issues. Sleep training of any kind was not an option for us until fairly recently bc she had apnea and was on a monitor and then we were facing a FTT diagnosis and having to wake at night for feedings. We got on track and had her sleeping through the night. She now seems to be in some sort of phase. This is not every night of my life.

Anxiety made sure I was way under my calories for the day so I made a vodka lemonade.
I’m going to do an acid treatment and face mask after ds goes down and then collapse into bed.
I’m exhausted.

AE. They’re super soft but I need some compression to suck me in. These have none. Have you tried the compression ones from Old Navy? They are magic. I just realized I have capris, though, not yoga pants. Not sure if they come in that style so this could be very unhelpful. LOL should've kept reading. My favorites!

Good lord, @humptydance . That teacher needs some PD on how to accommodate students with attention needs in the classroom. At that age especially, nothing you can do at home is going to fix it at school. The teacher needs to start putting routines in place to help your kid out when and where the issues arise (if you need suggestions to bring up - like body/mental breaks, breaking work down into chunks, providing an inflatable cushion to sit on to engage muscles while working, etc.) I mean we don't know what the teacher has or has not been doing. That being said, if you have been dealing with this since the beginning of the school year and it's now February and nothing has changed then you do what as a teacher? Don't say anything to anyone? Continue to let it affect how she teaches the other students etc?
All I am saying it's tough all around and I wouldn't jump to the teacher not doing enough.
I get this, I’m sure it is incredibly difficult to teach my kid. She is difficult and he has been letting me know about her focus and behavior issues since school started, and we started the evaluation process and he knows this. It’s just frustrating when everything from him seems to be what she’s doing wrong without saying what accommodations he has tried if any. I am to blame as well since I haven't thought to ask.

If something else worked, I'd be doing it. It's not every night, just recently. I put her to bed at 7 and she's been waking 2-3 hours later and won't settle back down unless I'm in there. I've read all the books and consulted all the people and doctors and we've had all the tests done. She's just a shitty sleeper who doesn't respond to CIO so I can stay in there and get some sleep and she can get lots of sleep, or I can go in my room and be wide awake while she screams and pukes and screams some more. Don't think this is a choice or anything other than a desperate last ditch effort. Solidarity. Sounds like you’re in survival mode and have a terrible sleeper. My DS was the same, CIO was never going to work. We did a modified Sleep Lady Shuffle when he was about your DDs age. Same. DS is a CIO failure. The sleep lady shuffle helped us so much with him at bedtime. We experienced an awful sleep regression with him at around 18 mos. Afterward, he started sleeping more consistently through the night. Hopefully your LO will too.

H put together our new king bed frame today. It's comically large for our room but I don't even care. I can't wait to sleep in it.

I'm going to bring up my cousin who sleeps with her 8 year old. Also I learned that to get them to take a bath she lets them watch you tube in the tub. I'm not bribing an 8 year old to bathe
