beefinch, love that dress! pootsen, that's more of what I'd hope for! The classes here are all around $200, so I'm just trying to decide if it's worth it, otherwise I'll read a book for $20! I liked the class- the one we went to was taught by a doula so she had a lot of good information and personal stories. It was kind of fun to talk with all of the other pregnant couples too. I think ours was around $200 as well, definitely pricey but worth it to me. I hope I get to use it this time! The books are pretty good too though. I think there's a workbook out there that would be useful if you decide to forgo the classes.

I've already mentioned how excited I am that my hospital is now offering laughing gas...so that's where I stand on meds. All of them, please.

If you already have a little at home, I highly recommend a big sibling class if your hospital offers one. It's usually a nurse who runs it and she'll talk about what to expect with babies and you'll take a kid friendly tour of the maternity ward. DD also left ours with a bunch of fun swag like latex gloves, a hospital cap, big sister button, and a little book.

LOL everyone is talking about med free birth and I am over here thinking the epidural was the best thing ever invented and I will 100% do it again. I might have definitely told my anesthesiologist I love him. I begged for an epidural and never got one. I was a wreck over it. I want an anesthesiologist to love on. Sigh. Noooo. I'm so sorry. My mom had epidural with both me and my sister and they didn't work for her. I cannot imagine. 😬😬😬

It only worked in half my side. I got another one with my daughter and the nurse checked me and I was 3 cm so they went ahead and did it, but by the time it was all said and done, I was already at 10cm so it didn't work. So basically I got stabbed and poked but got none of the good stuff. I'll be trying again this time around anyways.

With J, I was in triage waiting for them to decide if they were going to admit me. I progressed fast so they had the anesthesiologist waiting for me in the room. Best thing ever! With D, I labored for a bit and begged them to give it to me. I was miserable. The anesthesiologist was my best friend when he came.
Labor pains vary so much too.

Just booked our Labor Day weekend flights up to the ILs'. We are going Thursday-Tuesday and I was able to get all the cheapest fares and use points for all of us. Score!
Sadly that is our "vacation" this year. But I love my ILs so I am happy with it.

My mom told me Friday that my grandpa was diagnosed with cancer. He's now headed to the ER for shortness of breath. I'm an hour from my mom and almost 3 hours from him, I feel helpless.

quinn yuck to a wet soccer game! you FX that insurance approves the drug quickly!!!! beefinch I love that dress – I think it will look great. thatgolfb I totally told my anesthesiologist that I loved him – H was jealous cdnfarmgirl My epidural was placed incorrectly – it helped with contractions but not with my c-section – instead I had to get some sort of morphine cocktail that knocked me for a complete loop! bubbles Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about your grandpa. Sending lots of prayers.

So I am having a tough time signing in through Pro Boards - like it keeps telling me that my password is wrong. It started happening at the end of the week last week. Bizarre

I saw my girlfriend yesterday who had her baby 4 weeks ago. After talking with her I'm almost convinced that I'm just going to go with a RCS and avoid attempting the VBAC. I was concerned that I only had a 32% chance of a successful VBAC to begin with but then when she flipped it on me and said that means I have a 68% chance of needing a RCS anyway, I realized that might be too high of a risk.

My mom had epidural with both me and my sister and they didn't work for her. I cannot imagine. 😬😬😬 This is what happened to me. Epidural placed, they broke my water, and 20 minutes later my epidural had failed. They tried giving me other meds through the line to "top up" the epidural. No luck. Fortunately my labour was fast, LOL. 1.5 hours from broken water to baby being born. But I'm still going to try for an epidural again...

We're having a girl! My a/s scan went well today. The dr said everything looked good, so that was a relief. It was also fun to watch her wiggle around for a half hour during the ultrasound. Now I'm going to be an AW with pictures. Hand on her forehead, palm up. Drama queen already. Feet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would love the laughing gas since my epidural stopped working. I'm always jealous when people tell me they didn't feel anything :/

I'm sorry bubbles. A cancer diagnosis is so hard. Can you make plans to go see him before baby arrives?

So how do we feel about a Facebook invite to a baptism? Ummmm, not my favorite idea. I would prefer Paperless Post at least if we are going online invite only.

I didn't send one out lol. I just don't know if this is like ... a thing now. I totally get evites though. I use them for ds' birthday parties.

Congrats bethkate those pics are great! I ordered the children's book Wish, it's about an elephant couple that wished for their child and had to wait until their wish was granted. It's cute and I feel it talks about infertility on a kid level. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
