milano I just ordered the Nabi Jr for DS because we are going on a long road trip in a couple weeks. Hopefully he likes it as much as J! That's awesome! I'd recommend letting him play with it before the trip so he figures out the back button and how to look around so you aren't having to help him as much. It took J about a week to figure out how to get back to the menu and pick different puzzles.

I will preface this by saying that my SIL and her family are lovely and I love visiting them. But I need a little rant.
Planning with this crowd is a pure impossibility. SIL suggested that we go to the history museum near here and leave around 9. Cool, that lines up nicely with a car nap for C. At 8 she states that we should all take our van. That's cool too, so I go out to make it presentable, take out the delivery van aspect to the back and fold out the seats for all the extra people. I come back inside to a cranky C (since it's close to her nap time) and SIL is all, "why don't you just have her nap here and we'll go later, if at all." So instead of throwing our stuff in the car and going, we get to completely change gears and make M and her cousin stop playing (because they're playing where C has to nap), unpack the diapers for C's diaper change and now I'm sitting in the dark basement hoping that C might nap while everyone tromps overhead. Ugh. Really? Couldn't we just keep moving forward, since we were 85% of the way there? DH just agrees with everyone because that's his role in the family, so I lose my planning buddy. Seriously. Planning anything with these people is like trying to stuff a limp noodle through a pinhole.
/rant
Now back to enjoying a lovely vacation.

Hey mapleme I'm in your neck of the woods! Just saw your hot sauce at the end of our tour at one of your local creameries.

C had her first cake today and I guess that DH didn't get all of it off of her because as I nurse her to sleep, she smells SO GOOD.

I stubbed my toe yesterday. I may have broken it, or at least bruised it really badly. There's nothing I can do for it but wait for it to heal and watch for any infection.
I'm so graceful.

C went to daycare today in underwear!
And he wore underwear all day on the 4th (was super tired and cranky all day) and did not have an accident!
I'm going to call these two things a win in my book. But I'm not holding my breath on being accident free for a long time. He still has a bad habit of pooping, getting up cleaned up and then pooping more in his underwear (why!).

It's justifiable homicide if it's your MIL, right? T&Ps for you my friend.
