Wtf Robeez?! I'm up nursing MOTN and want to buy C a pair of shoes. I select a pair, enter in my payment details but am not sure of my CVV (card number is stored on my phone). I make an educated guess which is wrong and Robeez informs me that I now can't use that card at all. Wha? And then bounces me back to the beginning of the whole checkout procedure. Awesome...

I don't think the Robeez website gives points for educated guesses, Mapes! Ha ha.

mapleme - this is why amazon always wins I buy A LOT on Amazon and I'm trying to do less of that, as I learn more about how their system works. If I'm not in a hurry for something, I try to buy it directly from the manufacturer.

Today has been a day of everything colliding with everything else and as a result, nothing going right. Kinda blows.

Yep, horrible day here as well, and it's only 11am. My outlook is double gloomy since I only slept 3 hours (not a pity party) because baby woke at 3am, and would not go back to sleep for anything. Not even the swing helped.
But it is cloudy, so that's a literal silver lining. It's supposed to be 110+ today, and having clouds will help keep it cool. Tomorrow is going to be 120+

All 3 girls were up at 530, resulting in a 730am nap for E&A so the minute they woke up, we headed to the beach! It was surprisingly easier than I thought...I'm sure that will change when the twins start walking. But everyone happily played in the sand for about 70 mins then we walked the boardwalk for an hour before heading home.

The humidity broke last night with the storm, thank goodness, and it was actually a nice day and I went for a walk at lunchtime for the first time in a while.

I love that movie. I also have the song stuck in my head.
Randomish: I once saw Eric Idle live and he's freakin' hilarious. My dad took me for my birthday, and it's one of my most favorite memories.

I hope some of you had days that improved! Mine... didn't... Solo bedtime took 2 hours with lots of screaming by both kids. And so much work did not get completed this evening when it needed to. But my mindset improved. There were lots of good things that happened today. And the craptastic parts are figure outable. Looming things are still looming, but they haven't crashed. All said and done, things are better today than they were yesterday, so I'm cool with that.

My DH has somehow worked only 11 hour days for the past week. It has been miraculous for him to make it home while we are still eating dinner. Tonight we did do work stuff for several hours, but it was still good to have him home.

I went out to my multiples meeting last night and both kids STTN! I know there won't be a repeat performance tonight, but I'll take one night of good sleep.

I have been struggling with O getting up early. In a genius move I set her Ok To Wake clock last night. She stayed in her room until 7!

M had a sleepover in E's room last night. It was SO FUCKING CUTE. We blew up the air mattress (which was recommended to me by someone here, thanks), brought his pillow downstairs, and unrolled a sleeping bag. He listened while I read Harry Potter to E (we are on book 6)! I assumed he would chit chat and keep E up for a bit and eventually come back upstairs to his own room (next to ours), but he didn't! He went to sleep and slept through the night, and he got up at 7! 7am! That is amazing. He has been getting up at 5:54am on the nose every day for the last few weeks.
Best.

There's a pinned thread about it, so I won't start a new thread, but Naria is deleting/moving threads all over TCF. She's not replying to anyone about what/why/etc, but from I can see she's removing threads that refer to the exodus and/or look weird because of deletions. And maybe threads that piss her off too because some folks birth stories are gone. Our "state of the forum NJCD edition" thread is gone. I'm not sure what else, but all recent conversations (like with Pip and other folks who didn't migrate) are gone too. Our most recent stuff is a month old. She doesn't look done yet though, so if there is anything over there that you want, I would recommend getting it now.

NJCD was pretty dead, but I don't get deleting the recent threads, they were clearly for people who wanted to stay. I guess that validates our choice to migrate.

I dropped the kids off at daycare an hour earlier than usual so I could come home and do a big cleanout of the chicken coop (not just sweep and replace).
Is this what being a grown up is?!

Apparently it was not Naria, but some mods there that are also mods here now. Clusterfuck clusterfuck clusterfuck. My content was deleted when we moved here anyway.

The drama. Always so much drama. It's exhausting. Yup. From what I understand, this is the modus operandi for large mommy groups, so there's that. But oy vey.
