hi, here's a new thread bc the other one is like 8 pages long. so apparently old navy doesn't carry maternity in ANY of its stores anymore, AND only some of their maternity items are returnable in-store. argh. i guess motherhood maternity and target are my only choices if i want to actually try stuff on. oh, or kohl's, which has like 4 things in the store. i've made nachos the past two sundays and it has been an excellent decision. then i make taco salads with the extra seasoned meat. yummmm. also we ordered pizza on saturday since DH was having a cheat day from keto, and now we have tons of leftovers and i don't have to share with him. mwahahahahaha! that's all i got.

Just found out that daycare has a waiting list until January. Families already enrolled get preferential treatment so all we can do is hope people drop off the list and we get lucky. I should probably start trying to come up with a backup plan though.

I'll skip old navy for sure then! Nachos and pizza sound amazing. I have gotten pizza once even with my reflux because I had to have it. I also tried a spinach alfredo pizza that was good. I want pizza again now!

Im off work today thankfully. While DS is at school I'm hoping to get to the grocery store because my fridge is so bare it's embarassing. I have not cooked much since all the first trimester sickness, but now I'm feeling better and need to get back on track with cooking at home more.

I should probably start trying to come up with a backup plan though. That sucks! Having a plan B just in case would be good and then you don't have to worry later on if the waitlist doesn't open up.

Welp. We're dealing with strep here. DS has had a high temp, chills, cough, and sore throat since yesterday so I took him in this morning. So glad I did. My H is already saying he feels like crap so please send me T&P's for the man cold. Ugh.

vvvvvfee, That sucks about Old Navy. I wonder why you can't even return stuff in store anymore. At least with Kohls, you can still do that even if you can't find maternity stuff in store. Of course, I really don't need anything new this time around, so I probably shouldn't even worry about it, but I always seem to buy something every pregnancy because I get tired of the stuff I already have. With this one being due in August, I'll most likely just live in dresses for the spring/summer, anyway. PennyCandy, I'm sorry about the waitlist situation. We went through something similar when I was pregnant with my oldest. I was positive we were going to put him in the daycare at DH's work, so I didn't even look at other options. Then it turned out the waitlist was like a mile long with preference for siblings, and we ended up having to find a place in a hurry after he was born. As for me, I am having a horrible first trimester, and I am literally counting down the days until it's over. I'm already down 22 lbs, and I still can't eat almost anything without throwing up (and because throwing up sucks, I'm mostly just not eating these days). I have a list of mostly horribly unhealthy things I'm going to get once I can eat actual food again, and I seriously can't wait to indulge.

vvvvvfee, Gap is like that. I bought stuff online and they wouldn't take it back in store, because they don't sell maternity in store. It's so frustrating. I ended up buying a few plain tees from target for now that fit me awkwardly but whatever. Returning stuff to Ikea today, and apparently we missed a box when we bought DD's toddler bed so we have to get that too. Then I'm going to Sephora to try on some new lipstick because I can and I feel so bleh recently so hopefully this will pick me up a little? I dunno.

We're going to have a shitty work day on Wednesday, like up to a 12 hour day. So I'm pushing the meal I was going to cook to another day and MH will be picking up pizza. 🍕🍕🍕 I cannot wait!!

I'm teaching my DD to cook. She made eggs for herself earlier and made chili for all of us for dinner.
She's so cute, she gets so proud of herself.

I need recommendations for buttermilk ranch. I want what they serve at Texas Roadhouse or Cracker Barrel for their salad. My husband insists I can use butter milk ranch mix by hidden valley but it is NOT as good. I’m willing to make it if need be. Any suggestions?

Hey guys. I’m here posting because I need to actually post instead of lurk. I hope all the people who are sick and starting to feel better.
H and I just got back from Sundance. It was great but I don’t recommend flying during the first trimester. It’s .... really rough.

I typically like restaurant ranch SO much more. There’s something different about it and my H thinks I’m nuts when I say it. Hidden Valley is certainly not the same.

I really need a do-over on today. I can't tell if I'm being a crazy pregnant person or if everyone else has just suddenly become the WORST (pretty sure its me).

DS woke up with a 101 fever. He's cranky, clingy, and doesn't have much of an appetite. I hope it's not the flu. I feel like I should have him checked since he's at high risk for complications and I'm pregnant.

DS still has a 102 temp. I'm assuming he'll have to stay home tomorrow as well. Ugh. My H and I both WFH so we're splitting up the days, but I feel like I don't get any work done.

DS has playgroup twice a week that we really look forward to, especially during these cold months. I was bummed that it snowed this morning because that means no playgroup😞 I can't wait until the weather gets warm and we start playing outside again.

Any suggestions? i have never eaten at either of those restaurants, but homemade ranch is soooooooo good. totally in a different universe from hidden valley. i use the america's test kitchen recipe.

Ugh, I’m pretty terrified of getting the flu thanks to all the coverage in the news. I hope everyone battling illnesses (and morning sickness) recover quick.
I think I turned a corner on my morning sickness, I had all day and night nausea but never puked, just that constant feeling of yuck. The last few days I’ve woken up feeling halfway decent!
I’ve been struggling with finding maternity clothes, online and otherwise. I wasn’t thrilled with anything I saw at the Gap, Old Navy and Motherhood. My Target maternity section in terrible too :/ Anyone have any other sites worth checking out? I don’t have to dress professionally, and am on the hunt for good maternity exercise clothes.
