I remember a couple people mentioned the lack of patience lately, notmoose may have been one, sorry but I can't remember. I seem to be great for a few days and then I will have a day (like today) where I have zero patience. I was definitely short with DS today and then of course the guilt sets in. I realize he's probably just bored from being indoors all the time and wants to play so I need to try harder. Sympathy love tit. Yep, I've been impatient. Some days are better than others. Evenings and first thing in the morning seem to be my worst times. The evenings is when I seem to loose my patience. I felt so bad for being short with DS yesterday. During bedtime we ended up snuggling for like 30 minutes after story time which made me feel better.

DS woke with a 101 temp, runny nose, cough, and sore throat. Very clingy and emotional. I gave him Motrin about 45 mins ago and he's starting to act like himself. Am I safe to assume it's not the flu if he recovered so quickly after having OTC meds? This was DS a few days ago. He woke up with a runny nose and cough and his temperature was 101.5. I gave him Tylenol and his fever went down. The next day no fever, just a runny nose and cough. It doesn't sound like the flu.

I had my ultrasound today and everything looked good! I guess this is really happening, gulp.
Count me in the running out of patience club. But I feel like my 2.5 year old has really been testing limits lately! Everything is a struggle, especially in the mornings. Getting dressed, getting out of the door, getting out the car seat, just stop!

Toddler sat on a cactus today. This is what we get for trying to be healthy and go hiking. And I can't even drink. Ouch! How bad was it? Her thick cloth diaper saved her bottom from the worst of it, the big, long, nasty spines. What I didn't realize is that cacti have these tiny little spines the width of a hair and about 3 mm long that get everywherreeeeee. It was all over her lower back and thighs and hands. We got most of them out with my fingernails and a lot of patience and screaming. Ice cream went a long way at soothing her after. There's still a few in her skin, but embedded deep. They're not bothering her, so I'm leaving them alone and just watching it in case of infection. There's a few in my hand too that I can't get to. Curse you, Arizona.

For like, the next 3 years.

Every morning is a struggle to be patient. DH leaves very early for work (before the kids are up), so it’s all me getting them up, dressed, fed and off to school. DS is actually quite the pleasant morning person, but he gets up earlier than I’d like. DD is unfortunately just like me - not a morning person at all. I have to drag her out of bed and every decision is an argument. I have a 5yo teenager....I don’t know what we are going to when she starts kindergarten and has to be up much earlier. 😭

I think I'm feeling movement, too (just shy of 14 weeks). Lots of maybe gas, maybe baby, but some distinct rolls and brushes. He was just chilling during my ultrasound, though.

He started kinder this year and it has been quite the adjustment. He is such a grump in the mornings and drags his ass lol. So most mornings is an argument about something with him. Prayers to you!

I have had pizza and I'm about to have cookie cake. I'm a happy camper. I pulled my doppler out again. We're planning sex tomorrow for the first time in almost 7 weeks and I wanted to reassure myself that baby is still ok. I'll probably use it again in a few days because I'm sure I'll have some spotting and it will freak me out. I messed with the damn thing for forever and ended up finding it in almost the exact same spot as a week ago. Lol I should have just kept it there until I heard it.

I am eating a gyro alone at a Greek restaurant before heading to a MNO thing with some mom’s from my kids’ school. It is so weird to be alone and not feeding other people! Hallelujah! I may just live here.

I just remembered I was going to weigh myself in the morning. 😬 I had pizza and cookie cake today though. Oh well. Gotta face the music at some point.

Hey guys. I’m here posting because I need to actually post instead of lurk. I hope all the people who are sick and starting to feel better. H and I just got back from Sundance. It was great but I don’t recommend flying during the first trimester. It’s .... really rough. I have a 14 hour flight on Sunday... anything you did to make it easier? I'm dreading it. I'm thinking my diclegis, that I haven't needed for a week or two, will be my friend... I tried my zofran and it did nothing. I bought the inflight snacks with beef sticks and gold fish. Also sip on coke. It’s got some anti nausea chemical in it that my midwives recommend. Only coke. Not diet. Not off brand. Only coke. Also just load up on plastic bags to get sick in. You don’t want to try to go past people.

Apparently, it wasn't worth fighting with me to wake up and do it myself. And I was a spoiled brat, apparently. I am the world's worst morning person. My mom is, though. Me and my dad are most decidedly not. I really hope DD takes after my H and his morning habits, but I suspect most of his sleeping habits are due to the Navy anyways.

It was great but I don’t recommend flying during the first trimester. It’s .... really rough. My parents just got back from Sundance too! See anything great? I had to fly during first tri with DD because we lived out of state and my family is get together heavy in the fall and I didn’t want to miss them all. At Halloween we flew home (Tulsa to Houston, so pretty short) and I was so miserable. Peppermints helped me through the actual flight, but I had to run to the bathroom as soon as we got off.

I'm up 3lbs. 😂 Oh well. No surprise with what I've been eating. I'm trying to be cool with it since I started out a bit underweight. I just don't want to go nuts.

XP from weekly update
Holy fucking shit my NIPT results were released yesterday!!! I forgot to register my code and I did it today so I could track the status. Low risk for everything and we are team BLUE!!! I am shocked! I was thinking it was a boy and I thought there's no way I'll be right lol.
I'm cracking up because now I DO have to worry about name choice since my cousin is also having a boy.

Baby boy appears to be doing well. I'm measuring a couple of days ahead and his heart rate is good. I think we have a name for him too!

Congrats on the baby boy, goldenbird! You must be even more excited to share the news now! I'm going to struggle to wait until next weekend! I really thought it would be two weeks for the results. But I want next week's US pics to put in frames to give each set of parents. And MH took next Saturday off. I'll be sitting on my hands til then 😂
