I have been lurking for the past week, when I found out I am pregnant and belong here. I wasn't going to participate yet but I wanted to give you love and hugs pambee. I'm sorry. Be kind to yourself.

Shit...the vision/aura thing I had for a half hour before my first migraine ever a couple week ago just started and is currently progressing the exact same as it did when I ended up with the migraine. It hasn't even been 2 weeks since the last one and I'm an hour and a half from being able to leave work. I took some Tylenol trying to cut it off if this is in fact headed to another migraine, but I really hope this isn't going to become a regular thing.

I've had those before and if I don't stop staring at a computer screen or anything for at least 15 minutes it turns into a real nasty headache for me.

I'm trying to close them for a few minutes at a time but there's stuff I need to get done before I leave. The vision stuff is mostly gone but I definitely have a headache now. So far not as bad as the one 2 weeks ago, but it's definitely there.

Nymeria I’m sorry. Migraines are the pits, and those auras are so disorienting. I hope it passes quickly.

Ocular migraines are what I get too and they're the pits. Unfortunately taking Tylenol or ibuprofen ahead of time never helps me. The only thing that helps is a cold, dark room and throwing up.

How’s everyone doing? I’m exhausted today. Took a 2 hour nap during DD’s nap this afternoon, now it’s 9PM and I’m already in bed. I have tons of work paperwork and stuff to do but I just can’t.
Does anyone else get weird cramps? Doesn’t feel like period cramps really, they’re in the same spot but a different feeling. I don’t know, pregnancy is weird.

chriskoo I also took a wonderful nap while DS slept this afternoon. It was a pretty rough day for sickness here. I just couldn't shake the nausea, but the nap definitely helped. Re: cramps, mine were worst around 6ish weeks, but they've calmed down now. I do get random tugging feelings from time to time. I think everything's just stretching. I found maternity jeans yesterday! Sooooo much more comfortable than my other jeans, but my blump makes me look obviously pregnant in them. I'm going to have to choose my work clothes carefully for the next few weeks, but people will probably start guessing.

chriskoo I've been getting some cramping too, and it's definitely different from period cramps. I made the mistake of saying I felt remarkable good this morning. I then spent the rest of the day exhausted with a backache and waves of mild nausea.

knitty CharlieB thanks for the solidarity on the cramps! I’d say a tugging feeling describe mine pretty accurately.

Hey all! I’ve definitely been feeling lots of “tugging.” Nausea was intense today, and I spent most of the day on the couch besides an hour of power cleaning that I made myself trudge through because I’ve been ignoring the state of my house. My H is more of a “pick up and put in piles” type of cleaner... so man, my kitchen and bathrooms needed some attention.

I am so exhausted. Thankfully we finally found a cleaning lady. She can only do 2-3 hours a week, but that willbe such a big help to just make sure the bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned regularly.
I live my, but cleaning is not his thing. So thisis clutch for us!

Good morning! I'm trying to avoid talking to people since the game did not go my way last night. There are some non-Pats fans at work that for some reason like to stop by my desk first thing after they lose and I just don't want to hear it.
I had ANOTHER migraine yesterday. That's 2 in 4 days and my 3rd since Jan 19. The first 2 were at work while this one was at home after a shower so I'm not even sure what triggered it. I have not been doing well drinking water and I had practically given up my coffee because of nausea, but I'm trying to sip my way though a morning coffee since I'm sure cutting caffeine cold turkey like that isn't helping. I just don't know what else to do at this point and I really can't be sidelined for 3-4 hours every other day.
I may swing by Target at lunch and pick up some Excedrine Tension. Excedrine Migraine is usually my go to for bad headaches, but that's a no-go during pregnancy because of the asprin. Excedrine Tension has the caffeine but no asprin so it probably wouldn't hurt to have some on hand.

Nymeria hugs. I'm sorry about the migraines that is awful, but if the main difference is lack of caffeine maybe you can find another caffeinated beverage that doesn't make you nauseous to replace.

eek the lack of caffeine and water can definitely trigger headaches for me. When I couldn't drink coffee I added like a whole bunch of sugar and milk to it so it didn't taste like coffee and then I did a lot better. I dno't know how you take your coffee Nymeria but would something like that be an option?

I drink it pretty dark so that's definitely something to keep in mind because I have plenty room to lighten it up. I may have found a link between not taking my prenatal and nausea the following day. I didn't take it Friday, and felt like shit Saturday. I took it Saturday and yesterday and so far both days have only been a bit of nausea, which means I have successfully gotten more than halfway through my morning coffee. I don't know it it's a placebo effect or if it's actually making a difference, but my head feels better than when I woke up this morning.

Nymeria the lack of water is a big one for me with headaches. I'm still struggling with that. I try to make myself have at least a little coffee in the morning cause I cut it cold turkey with DS and it made my headaches much worse with lightheaded-ness and dizziness.

The past few days have been awful for me. I've been so sick. And I'm in a bad place mentally and emotionally because I'm so worn out and I hate feeling so useless and sick. I'm still adjusting dosages of Unisom and B6 to find a balance that works. It seems to take the nausea away in the morning, but I still overall just feel sick all day. And then the nausea is baaaad at night. Plus, I learned that the active ingredient in Unisom is actually an antihistamine that could potentially dry up what's left of my milk supply.... As I was hoping/planning to continue nursing DS, this makes me feel really sad. It feels like a selfish choice to take the meds knowing that risk. So, it's just generally been a really rough week. So much crying.
