I've just had to accept that I'm not getting caught up on BBM. I've tried since week 1 and it just isn't going to happen. So I start week 6 tomorrow (we have plans tonight). I really enjoy the workouts and hope I can get fit by summer.

I desperately need to work on my diet but I just don't have the motivation right now.

I desperately need to work on my diet but I just don't have the motivation right now. Finding the motivation is the hardest part for me. I have the best of intentions, but making myself actually do it, is hard! You also have a lot going on right now, with work, house, family, etc.

Sunny41 I really like MFP. I feel like it holds me accountable. Especially because I know my extra calories come from alcohol and/or snacking it makes me pause if I have to actually put it in. My goal is to walk at least one way to Rylands school everyday this week, both ways on days it’s feasible. It’s two miles round trip so if I do it twice that’s four miles. I also want to pull out my weights and maybe put on some of the bbm weight workouts to get started.

My H actually downloaded MFP last night and I showed him how to use it. His problem is that he doesn't eat enough, so his metabolism is probably super low. Since he spends so much time driving, he might snack occasionally, then work through lunch. And since I'm cooking healthier, he isn't eating as much at dinner. Like last night when we were comparing steps, he lets his iPhone track his and he had half a mile for the day, I had 5 1/2. He was going to put his in as an hour worth of exercise, which MFP figured it would burn like 600 calories for him. I laughed and told him no.
It is nice to copy and paste recipes into so that you can still cook your foods. But watch it, because mine somehow figured the 1/4t powdered garlic I put in dinner last night was an extra 600 calories. It also had the 1/2 t of salt (which I omitted), was over 5,000 mg of sodium, between the two servings.
Oh and I weighed myself today, I'm down 17 lbs! My body apparently doesn't like to lose any weight during period week! Good thing to know!

mwhip, 17lb! Go, girl! Great job! That's great motivation to keep going. MH also doesn't eat enough and I keep telling him he's going to ruin his metabolism. He skips breakfast, has fast food or just something from the vending machine with mt dew for lunch and then eats like 3 dinners once he gets home!

Except at 46, I think he's ruined his. I told him he needs to eat foods high in protein to help get it moving. And little snacks, throughout the day. I don't really know what else to do to help him. He still can't exercise very much because of his knee. Although he has a pretty physical job, trying to convince him that it isn't the same as a good workout/getting your heart rate elevated, is difficult. He has told me that he's proud of me for sticking with it, so I think my changes are making him want to change as well.

Like the other day he said he was feeling super queasy so he had to get Taco Bell to settle his stomach... I tried giving him healthy snacks to keep at his desk, but he just doesn't eat them. Drives me nuts!

My dad drives for a living and packs a cooler every day with drinks instead of stopping. And always packs snacks. He could do ham/turkey and cheese roll ups that are easy to eat while driving and filling.

wineallthetime I'm LOLing at Taco Bell to settle his stomach. TB has the exact opposite effect on me! peachsmama He has a cooler in the summer, to keep water and gatorade cold. But he doesn't do it for food. In the winter, he easily could. But in the summer, when it's 100 and he's gone for a week, he would have a hard time keeping things cold without them spoiling. He isn't a fan of processed meats, because of the sodium and his heart issues. He does pack lots of snack, trail mix, teddy grahams, little bags of cheez-its, etc. So he does try, but I think he needs to take more breaks to snack on healthy stuff.

wow, great job mwhip! I did 2.5 weeks of insanity but had to switch it up last week because of my knees. So I'm trying out different beach body programs since I paid for 3 months. I'm alternating between T25 and PiYo. I am not a fan of PiYo at all, so I'm going to try something different again. I'm proud of myself for not missing a day in 3 weeks. But I did have a break down last week. I stayed off the scale for a full week and chose my "light day" to check in. I gained 2lbs. I seriously don't know what's going on. In the 3 weeks I've been doing this I am up 1lb total. It's ridiculous. My diet is not perfect, but it's not any worse than before. I sobbed to DH. I don't want this to be my life, constantly worrying about gaining a few pounds, but I just want to lose my baby (who's almost 2!) weight. It fell off so quickly after N, plus 5 extra pounds without really trying, and this time it's just not budging and it's really messing with me. I know what the scale says shouldn't matter and that I am gaining some muscle, but I also am not seeing results in the way my clothes fit. I'm tired of being a debbie downer to myself

slenle I totally understand the couple of pounds creeping in when you think you've done so well! If you haven't missed a day in 3 weeks, you are definitely gaining muscle mass, which weighs more than fat. Let me find the thing I posted on FB a few weeks ago when I was in the same place. Weight loss doesn't happen fast, although it damn well seems like the gain can happen in a split second!

I can't exercise because of my issue and I've found myself falling off the food wagon a bit so I am trying to reel it in. I haven't lost or gained in 3 weeks. I have 7# to lose until goal and apparently it's not just going to fall off on it's own. I've also found it extra hard because the pain meds give me the munchies.

I totally screwed up my diet last night, well, probably most of the day yesterday, so I'm buckling down today. I didn't even put everything I ate into MFP, I'm so ashamed! But I admitted to my controller what all I ate, so we aren't taking measurements today since we both agreed I'm probably bloated from all the salt (damn tacos and chips/salsa).
If anyone brings donuts or special treats in today, someone may need to bail me out of jail!

I got my fitness tracker today. It's a Moov Now. I got it because it does swim tracking and it does coached workouts. The app has some 7min workouts so I hope to try those out. Only bummer is it didn't have a heart rate monitor so if I'm not moving my hand it thinks I'm at rest even if it is in the middle of aerobics. But so far I love it!

Sunny41 I put my Fitbit on my belt loop when I'm at the store, otherwise it won't track my steps, since I'm pushing a cart instead of moving my hand. You might try that if you are doing something not requiring arm movement.

When I mow, I put mine on my shoe laces. I don't worry much about when I'm out shopping, although every stop helps!

Last night was a mix so I just went with it

I did 4 straight days of BBM this week and the new jeans I bought a few weeks ago are feeling loose. I need to get some filling snacks because nursing makes me hungry and I'm eating way to much crap.

That's awesome! I won't be nursing, but my goal is to stock up on healthier, filling snacks before the baby comes so I have something easy to grab in hopes I don't just reach for junk. Also, how long after your c-section did you start working out? I was trying to remember with L, I think I started boot camp classes 6 weeks after but not sure.

Just checking in for an update from everyone! I weighed myself again this morning, I'm down 19 lbs! I plan on going to the gym today at lunch, even with the bad weather because I want a round 20 lbs!
How is everyone else doing?

I took progress pics yesterday and there is a teeeeeny tiny difference. Maybe. Scale remains unchanged. Ugh.

I haven't gotten on the scale. I'm scared to. I'm waiting for a morning when I actually feel skinny. LOL I have ridden my new bike for the past 2 nights and I really like it, my body does not. I haven't done much, just easing into it. I did 3 miles the first night and 3.5 yesterday.
