I really wish I were the type who would use an exercise bike/eliptical/treadmill/ect at home, but I'm just not. My friend runs 3 mi every day on her treadmill while her kids play. I would hop on that thing and run for 20 seconds before calling it a day. I found that my exercise bike was way less intimidating now that I'm in shape rather than when I got it and it was really hard to go 5min. klong11 get the one that takes up the least amount of space mwhip congrats on the 6#!

Anyone use the Samsung health app? Or any other app that reminds you to drink or eat meals?

wineallthetime, I think having a show to watch would be my only motivation. If I could hop on for a 20 minute episode on netflix every day, it could count as "me time" with bonus exercise while the kids play with the toys they have in the basement. win for everyone.

I made a plan last week to get caught up on BBM. And I got pretty far but the weekend was so busy and then I got hit with a migraine on Saturday. So I replanned and I hope I get it accomplished.

Sunny41, I have no problems remembering to eat! lol Ha! I have no problem snacking either. I found that I was never hungry when I did the 5 meal a day plan with meals 2&4 being protien based. I'd really like something to remind me of those meals and to hydrate

I like this style way better. We just needed something easily moveable and DH wanted more of a spin bike. I hope I like it. I got a padded seat cover because they always hurt my butt.

wedding, yeah, I didn't feel like the position I would need to be in for a spin bike would be comfortable for my lower back.

I did BBM 7.0 Day 1 today and I was able to do so much more then I expected. Also took my before photos and to be honest, they are not that different from my before photos from last year when I started BBM only this time my boobs are bigger. I'm down 29 pounds from the day C was born so I'm happy with my start.

I started this, then disappeared! I had a really good week last week, was down 15 lbs total. Then I weighed myself Monday morning and had gained 3 lbs back. Which is weird, because I ate really good this weekend and exercised both days.
Did you deviate from your diet this week? Yes If yes, why? I did get ice cream, but only ate a few bites, then put it in the freezer, to eat a few bites from later. Stayed under my 1200 cals a day, with the help of exercise On a scale of 1-10, what is your motivation level? Today it's about a 5, I'm pissed about the weekend weight gain. How many days did you work out last week? 6 How many days do you plan to work out next week? 5-6
So funny story. Friday when I went to the gym, I wore an old pair of yoga capris. They were cheap, I got them at Walmart a few years ago. I was on the treadmill and one of my inner thighs started burning. I just continued on for my 2.5 miles. When I got done, I went into a little room on the side of the gym to do free weights and felt my leg...my thighs rubbed together so much, the seam gave out, so for probably 2 miles of running/walking, my leg was rubbing against my other leg seam. I have the worst chub rub burn. I had to put some special burn cream on it last night because it still hurts.

I'm 2 weeks into insanity, no missed days. I did the 2nd fit test yesterday and all of my numbers are up.
I don't think I'm down any lbs, but I've decided to put the scale away and only get it out 1 day a week, probably Thursdays. It was really starting to mess with me seeing it go up and down every day, so we'll see how this goes.

I've been adding protien snacks mid-morning and it has been really great at adjusting my intake at meals. It's been as simple as turkey pepperoni or hard boiled egg and cheese stick.

But my scale sits right outside my shower, so I tend to get on it every morning after I first go to the bathroom and before I get in the shower. It's too convenient, but I know weighing yourself daily isn't good. I did read on MFP that the best day to weigh yourself is Friday morning. We tend to over indulge on weekends, so Mondays are bad, get it done before going into the weekend, then you have a week to work on it. I like the Friday idea, but I know I drink at least one glass of wine most Wednesdays, so I'm thinking Wednesday morning should be my day.

Can you track your weight daily and find the higher and lower days? Or take an average of the week? I usually weigh myself on Tuesday because I have a Monday night workout class and that usually means I'm down a little.

If you weighed yoursef Thurs or Fri would it help keep your Wednesday wine in check knowing you'd need to weigh in? Great job with all the working out!

And I don't think I'll have any tonight since it sounds like my in laws aren't staying for dinner. I just need to find a consistent day, instead of every day! :-)

I'm a little bummed. My left knee has been bothering me off and on, but is getting worse and my right knee is starting too. Like, I can't even sit on the toilet without pain. They don't bother me when I work out, but do the rest of the day. Google says workouts like Insanity are about the worst you can do to your knees, so on top of that and playing volleyball last night, I'm hurting.
It sucks because I'm actually into this program and really enjoying it. I'm sure I could find a different one, but I really wanted to finish this all the way through. I'm going to try and get through this week and make sure to ice and elevate and see if it helps.

But more than 2 glasses makes me feel like shit the next day, even if I'm in bed early. All the water I drink helps, but it just isn't worth it anymore. I think I finally reached that stage of life. Where although I thoroughly enjoy drinking, I have an equal hate for how awful I feel the next day, and I'd rather go to the gym.

I don't know anything about Insanity, but are there different movements you can do that are easier on your knees? Once you damage your knees, it's hard to get them back. In my late 20s, I worked out hard, like lots of squats and lunges daily. I was in great shape. But now, one of my knees cracks everytime I go up a step. I know it's all that motion and the damage I ended up causing. I'm sure the running I'm attempting to do isn't helping matters either!

We walked to get ryland from school today, which is about 2 miles. It’s the most I’ve done (besides walking around target) since having C. It felt good and I’m feeling ready to get back in the gym. I also weighed myself this morning and I’m back down to what I weighed when I went in for my dating ultrasound, which was about 7 lbs heavier than I normally am. So I’m feeling good that I don’t have a ton to lose, but I’m ready to start toning. Of course, this will all be easier when Shaun is no longer on paternity leave and we’re not eating out everyday!

I've decided to quit my WW subscription. I just am not tracking meals so it doesn't make sense to pay for it. mwhip, are you liking MFP? I'm also thinking about getting some kind of fitbit or smart watch. Which ones do people have and why do you like it? Ideally I would have one that would help with swim workouts but those are $300.

I like MFP, I've used it before and as long as I'm good about putting my food in it, it helps me. They have a large database of foods, so I can usually find what I'm eating. Or it's easy to copy and paste recipes into it to get calories/serving, if you don't know it. It also helps me track my water. My Garmin Connect syncs to it, although I try not to dip into those calories too much. I have a Garmin VivoFit, because my brother worked at Garmin so I could get it at cost. But for what I want, it works. I just want something that keeps track of my steps. It's water proof and doesn't require charging. The one I have now, I've had for probably 3 years, although I don't wear it daily. They have some to monitor heart rate, but I feel like for my needs, this is perfect.

I just order a fitness tracker that is supposed to be decent for swimming and other stuff. Hopefully I can get everything coordinated and get another 20 off by May. I just looked and that was my original WW goal so hopefully I can get close to it.
