GD nurse (she's a RN, I guess) called me today and apologized for the way her message came off to me. She said she didn't mean to make me feel like I was failing or like I was at fault here and that I was doing a really good job. Just be consistent with actually eating my carbs and if the number is high, we'll adjust the insulin. I feel a lot better. This is also why I much prefer personal interaction with medical professionals over email. Because ugh it's so easy to get worked up without tone. I'm glad you feel better. I work in medicine. I do not to use email for communication and this is one of the reasons.

I saw my endocrinologist today. He was happy with my numbers and isn't worried. He said to plan on doing some blood work (BMP, HgbA1c) at 6 weeks pp and we'll go from there.

That’s so good about your numbers! I wondered what I’d have to do to follow up with the gd and my thyroid stuff. I haven’t made my 6 week pp appt yet, but I guess I thought they’d want to check it before then. Guess I’ll call and see.

Are you followed by endocrine too? I can't remember.

I am hoping I can just do the A1C test this time.
