I'm pretty devoid of energy. 32 weeks this week. I feel like part of it is from the diet. Anybody else? Yes, me too. I feel like I have so much less energy and I'm almost certain it's because of the restrictions. After I eat, I'm usually okay, but I fade fast between a meal and a snack. I don't feel like I'm getting enough out of my food.

By noon I am ready to crawl back into bed and stay there, and my motivation to get any work done goes down hill quickly. I don't remember being so tired with DS and I had GD with him too. I have no idea how I am going to make it another 5-6 weeks at work.

I officially go here now. My office called and said I failed every blood draw. I told her I like to make an impression😂
What is everyone eating for breakfast? I'm such a picky eater and it's SO hard to find anything for breakfast that won't make my number skyrocket. I don't like eggs or most veggies🙈

D: But I also add in stuff like oatmeal with chia seeds, fruit (apples, bananas, even fruit cups), small piece of toast. Do you like peanut butter? Maybe something with PB on it?

Quoting myself, whee You can also maybe try something higher protein, like a simple steak/chicken breast/pork steak or something. I seem to get better numbers with a good walk (10-15 min+) and some decent protein with my breakfast.

I do like PB- I might try PB and apples? I saw some meat+ cheese roll ups and can always eat a little bacon or ham for "breakfast" and have some sort of carbs when it's snack time, I suppose. Thanks for getting the ball rolling for me Rama!

I do eggs with a piece of toast with pb and jelly and it works for me so I haven’t strayed from that. What about cottage cheese or high protein Greek yogurt?

clementine I like the Greek yogurt suggestion. I could definitely do that...adding it to my shopping list!

mrsmonogrammed, I'm sorry you go here. I can't tolerate much for carbs in the morning so I have half of a low cabs sandwich thin, eggs (sorry, not helpful), cheese and avocado every single freaking morning.

How are you ladies doing?
I'm 33w4d. Diet controlled at this point. Fasting was 93 this morning. I think I went too long without eating. I really hope it isn't a trend.

I got put on insulin about a week ago. I'm actually fairly relieved about it, it's not so bad and it makes me feel like a normal person. I don't feel guilty for having two apples for snacks in a row now.

I have been doing okay. I am surprised I didn't get high numbers over the weekend, because I had several popsicles and milk as that was the only thing that tasted good after the nasty stomach flu I had. I did have a 141 1 hour after lunch today. I had soup (cream of broccoli) from a restaurant and I am not sure what all it was made out of and a slice of pepperoni pizza. Oh well, 1 point isn't a huge deal when the majority of my numbers are in range.
I am so over all of this though. I have been following this diet since before Thanksgiving and I hate eating so much. I can't stomach the protein stuff (cheese sticks, eggs, nuts, etc.) anymore. I am only about 3.5 weeks from being 39 weeks and I was told they won't let me go past 39 weeks, so I am just doing the best I can to stay on course.

I’ve been doing pretty well with diet control. I’ve had a few high numbers here and there, especially last week when I was sick. I ate the exact same breakfast meal as I have the past 2 months and my numbers were high for a few days. But I guess being sick can do that to your numbers. woodenshoes I am getting tired of all the tracking, but I’m trying to remind myself that I only have a few weeks of this to go! Sounds like you do too. Not much longer! Rama I’m glad the insulin is giving you some relief. The food guilt can be so rough, so I’m glad you don’t have to feel that way anymore. shellyr I have noticed higher fasting numbers if I eat an earlier dinner and don’t have a snack before bed. Usually I don’t eat dinner until 7 or so and then my fasting number is typically fine when I get up around 5:45.

clementine, I am feeling very snacky too. At the grocery store yesterday I just wanted to buy all the cookies, cupcakes, and donuts. My after lunch and after dinner numbers were both a little high yesterday, so I am really trying to be good today. I should be drinking more water, but I feel like I am back in 1st trimester where water tastes disgusting to me.

I'm just here to celebrate the fact that we've found the right insulin dosage to get my fasting numbers in the right range! It's only taken 3 adjustments.

My fasting numbers are creeping up, 90, 93, 93 the past 3 days. I haven't felt good at night so I've basically been going to bed after dinner. I'm going to try really hard to take a walk or something after dinner tonight. 34 weeks now.

Not sure if this is a coincidence or maybe it’s just me, but I notice my numbers are lower if I’m extra active before my meals. Like if I have a busy morning and then eat lunch, my numbers are usually good. And then I’ll have a slow morning, eat the same lunch, take a walk after lunch, and my number has usually been higher then. Feeling crappy at night makes it so hard to try to be active and even to stay awake long enough to check my sugar after dinner. But if you have time, maybe try walking before dinner?

Probably just has something to do with us getting later and less comfortable in general. If a walk would help you feel better, then there's definitely no harm! Just don't beat yourself up if it's not a magical cure. <3 My dietician and nurses told me that you kinda have to chase the numbers around this late in pregnancy and creeping numbers aren't too concerning unless you're getting huge spikes for no reason. You got this, lady.

If you are into herbal tea and Starbucks Lemon Loaf, I would recommend the new Tazo Glazed Lemon Loaf tea. It smells amazing. I found it at Target yesterday and I'm in love.

I have to tell people who will get my excitement- both my breakfast and lunch numbers were in range today AND I had chipotle for lunch🙌🏻. I’m just starting on my tracking journey so still playing with what works, but I’m feeling very “I can do this!” today😊

Hoping to get back on track today! Brought a salad for lunch and had the same breakfast as yesterday so 🤞🏻 they go ok!

mrsmonogrammed, I hope you do okay today. I haven't tried Chipotle, but I have had Qdoba several times. I always do 3 tacos with just meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes and get decent numbers. There is so much trial and error with this and it is so frustrating when our numbers are wonky/off. I hate walking through the hallways at school around lunch time. They are having bosco sticks today and it smells delicious. Tomorrow is my birthday and I am trying to decide if I am going to allow my self to splurge a little for dinner. If I do it might be something like french toast or pasta.

woodenshoes bosco sticks, French toast, pasta, oh my! Those all sounds so delicious right now. I haven’t had bosco sticks since high school and now I’m having some serious cravings.
