kim22 How are you feeling? I'm feeling fine, thanks for asking. I just live in fear that the stones will pass suddenly. I have an appointment Monday with a urologist. I'm taking a chance on a random doctor I pulled from my insurance website that is close to my house. The only doctor recommended to me didn't take my insurance. I have the report from the ultrasound and there are 3 stones and a cyst.

Homework?! H has never had any homework. Yup-- One letter page and one number page each week. Yes I'm quoting myself, but I don't love the idea of preschool homework, so we do what we need to do on it. It's helping her learn the idea of it being a responsibility that needs to be turned in neatly and on time. I try to incorporate whatever letter they're working on that week into the art that we're doing here. That way she has practice and she doesn't even realize it's happening.

klong11 at this age I wouldn’t worry, it’s still quite common for kids until up to age 7-8 to do this. I’m impressed she’s writing in the first place 😀!

We just ordered bedroom furniture for our room. We have never had a bed, only a mattress and boxspring on a frame. We went in some furniture store I never heard of and I fell in love with something that was nothing like what I was looking for.
Tonight I'm suppose to be meeting my high school friends for dinner. C has been super fussy about that time the past few days so hopefully it goes ok. Tomorrow is my grandma's 98th birthday. We are having a party at the nursing home. My cousin and her kids are coming from out of state. Grandma is super unhappy in the nursing home so hopefully she will be ok at the party. My dad thinks he found round the clock care so she can go home next week.

Apparently H’s preschool is much more lax. This week they worked on the letter L and this is what came home in her backpack: They do more in class and don’t send everything home. I know this week they worked on something for “muffins with mom” next Thursday. She’s only there 2.5 hours 2x a week though so that might have something to do with it too. I’m ok with it, I’d rather they have lots of play and interactive time. I don’t think H has ever written her whole name down yet.

I really hope the full-time aid me works out for your grandma, @kim22z. It makes me feel so sad for her that's she's unhappy.

trtlcrzy , she did a great job coloring that lion! I was thinking the same! When Colin has a homework page where he has to color all the things that start with "F", he just puts a slash through them to show he knows the sound. His teacher is cool with it, she said some kids just don't enjoy coloring and he's clearly one.

We've had some pretty interesting looking animals and household items that have come home in the last few months.

Cadence likes to draw in markers and then color in with markers, so you just end up with blobs of color since she colored over whatever it was supposed to be.

LO gets 1 page of whatever the primary focus is for three week. This week it's Star shape. So he has to count how many stars are in a pic and then trace 4 stars.

The other night C says when we walk in the door all exasperated sounding:
Mom, I can't talk. I have too much to do. I need to eat dinner, watch my shows, do my homework, play in the basement, get ready for sleepy time. I just don't have time to talk to you tonight.
----- He never has homework but he pulls a workbook page from school and starts coloring. I think it was just something they were working on in class. He is too funny.

Hmm any worksheets that go in our cubby goes to the bottom of the car to die and then get tossed. Maybe they are homework, ha! Jk.
N actually has monthly assignments. We have never done one. I honestly do not care or have any remorse. She's 13 months old.

Anyone doing t ball this spring? The official league has a practice and a game each week😲. We may do a different league that is 90 min on weekends this year since I won't have kids at the same place and would be impossible to make practice midweek at a reasonable time.

Hi! So annoying about the missing pay checks mwhip. Poor boys. Hope they get some relief soon. peachsmamaYay for a school day!! flamingoM loves doing anything with eggs. He has become quite the boiled egg peeler. @klongoria and guster M is left handed and tends to write his name backwards, too. He Writes the letters in the correct order, but will write from right to left. I don’t discourage him, he’ll figure it out one day.

Well I'm home with the boys. Matthew threw up so the sitter had me come get them. I think it's just from coughing but oh well. I stopped and got zarbees, musinex, benadryl and zyrtek.. we have to knock this out.

tallb, I agree. I would not entertain it at 13 months old and barely entertained it last year at the beginning of the year before J turned three.

13 months? Yeah, no to homework that young. She just started having it with her last class and even then, the teachers fell off of it, so they only did it for a couple of weeks. Now in the prek they will have it weekly, but we haven't seen any yet. She likes doing it. Then when mh gets home she tells him all about whatever the letter or number of the day is.

Hi!
I’m so excited because our machine went down at work and I have the afternoon to myself!!!! First time in a very long time I will be home alone without either of the boys.
I just had Mexican alone and going to top at the grocery store so I won’t have to get out much this weekend. Then home to catch up on my DVR in peace and quiet. I haven’t been this excited about anything in a very long time.
