I let C break an egg the other day when we made brownies, now he's been BEGGING to make something that involves eggs. I promised him we can make something tonight. Anyone have any great recipes that involve eggs that are also very easy because I am tired on Friday evenings! I could do an egg bake or something, but was thinking something sweet may be tasty.

inthekitty Group work is THE WORST. I feel the same way and as I am in the working world longer it becomes harder because everyone’s in their routine and harder to break habits, including myself. Yep. I really don't care if this project sucks (there's no way it can be good because it's a really stupid assignment) but I figure I'll be prepared for my part and to hell with the rest of it. I was talking with a friend from grad school last night about related issues. A lot of the a-holes fr our program didn't finish or if they did they have not had as successful of careers. That's what I remind myself that in the end it really does pay off for those who do the work.

Can you just do breakfast for dinner and make scrambled eggs? My C also loves to crack eggs and has gotten really good at it in the past year. Rarely a shell piece in it.

I'm sorry nam2013, that really stinks. I'm so excited for C, wedding!! I don't think we could pull that with Col because he'd be forever checking in on WHEN it was happening. Kid is as neurotic as his Mom, LOL. inthekitty - I always end up being the aggregator in group work as well, even with our stupid presentations for our annual conference at work. It's annoying but at least it gets done I guess.

M was PISSED OFF when i woke her up this morning because she wanted to wake up by herself. She told me to go back to bed and she would come wake me up when she had to pee.

Happy Friday! I'm just hoping to get through today without talking to my boss. He said last week he will be having one on one conversations with everyone soon, basically an informal review. DNW. I'm gone all next week so I'm afraid he'll want to talk over the phone today which is not okay IMO. The 2 employees he has talked to are not happy with the outcome of their meeting and will be losing hours/getting pay cut. yikes. I've had so much anxiety about this all week which is not how I want to start vacation. I just hate this feeling! I still have the screenshot of his text tho so he can't be too mean...

Morning! I am bringing the girls to a bounce house place in an hour. I know H will have fun, S is a wildcard. Then tonight my sister is taking the girls overnight for a sleepover so I have to get a bag packed for them. No idea what DH and I will do but I’m excited for it. We used to do sleepovers at my aunt's...she was childless at the time and my uncle traveled a lot. Such good memories. I can't wait to have my sister's kids over, and pack my own off some day! Enjoy your night off/out!

Morning! I didn't sleep so well last night and I have no clue why, I kept waking up with this unsettled feeling. The mouse thing is annoying but wasn't a surprise, so that's not it. Maybe Colin's return to wetting himself is stressing me more than I am aware? I DO hate how sad it makes him. I think we have to give him the option to go back to pullups, only if HE wants to. He's going to have to wear them whenever my parents or my ILs watch them, because I'm not going to stick them with the probable clean-up. I just have no idea if this will stop tomorrow or next week or not for another 6 months. I HATE not knowing things! I'm too type-A for kids, apparently, LOL.
Anyhow it was so foggy this morning that I could barely see a few feet in front of me. My stupid GPS watch kept losing connectivity too, so it was a pretty rough run. But a rough run today is still better than a good run just a few months ago, which is still crazy to me. I really need to just pick a goal race and go for it. I think it'll either be NJ in early May or VT City in late May. Decisions, decisions.
I have Monday off - and daycare is open and DH is travelling! - so today is like the king of Fridays. I've already resolved an issue that was escalated to me, so I feel productive. Plus I forgot that it was an early payday due to the banking holiday on Monday. I should probably go home while I'm ahead!

Morning!
B is back at preschool today, WOOHOO!!!
I finished painting the kitchen last night and just finished putting all the outlet covers, etc. back on. Now I need to find some artwork and order my Roman shade. Once I finish tidying up the house I might take C to Homegoods.
Not much else going on today; happy Friday!

wedding have a great trip!! nam2013 I hope another opportunity that interests you presents itself soon. Hang in there inthekitty I feel your pain; I hated group projects in college, I always ended up being the one stuck assembling everything. Partially b/c I was a control freak that wanted to make sure my grade wasn't affected by a slacker, but also b/c apparently I'm a glutton for punishment.

I would do scrambled eggs with him. It's a lot of cracking, mixing, and pushing around the pan that's super fun for them, @wine! slenle, ugh. That anticipation stresses me out for you. I hope he leaves you alone today.

I'm excited just reading about that vacation, wedding. Have a great time! C will be ecstatic. Yay for school finally resuming, flamingo. Sounds like a job you would be great at, nam2013. Maybe they will have something similar open up? Good luck if he calls you, slenle. Hopefully that conversation goes better with you than it did with your coworkers.

X slept until 7 again. Woo hoo!
Quiet day at work. Dude has been a really good listener lately so we're rewarding him with a living room campout. Tomorrow we'll head to the boardwalk at the beach because the weather is supposed to be good.
Dare I say it?!
I think we have reached that mythical point of being just past the fourth birthday and he has matured a lot the last couple weeks. He's more patient, empathetic, considerate, it's amazing.
I'm sure I just jinxed it...

I'm sorry, @peach. Poor M. Benadryl and/or Motrin seem to work when my kids have a car. We haven't tried cough syrup, yet, but the mixture of the anti-inflammatory to calm thing down and the Benadryl to stop the post nasal drip seems to help. I'm going to stop and stock up before heading home. I don't want to run out of any medicine while we're snowed in. I think I'll get some cider and heat it up for him. Maybe that'll help his throat.
