Morning! Ds seems to be doing better, fingers crossed. He keeps asking about the pool. If he stays fever free today, I’m thinking about going tomorrow. Is that to soon after having a fever?

It going well, it’s just the break and rest we craved and needed so much. Dd seems to finally be STTN. I love this park, I’ve been coming here since I was 4-5. I love the forest and the fresh air. But there’s a storm today, so no going into the woods today, hopefully tomorrow!

Thanks for asking chrisy01. Cassie Lassie is doing well. Whatever it was hit her hard and fast and thankfully she's feeling better. Maddie lost a tooth last night! It came out a little early so she was sore for a while. I let yet be lazy and play a lot of Nintendo because she had a tough day back at school with her teacher yelling a lot. 😒 I found out her teacher is pregnant. No clue how far along. I hope she has her baby during the school year because I'd happily take our chances finishing with a sub.

Morning!
Status quo here. Looks like we're gearing up for a snow day tomorrow. I'm going to run to the store when I drop Josie at school and pick up the supplies to make homemade pizza if we're all home!

guster second. I can only imagine what we'll be in for braces because her mouth is small and the new teeth coming in hardly have any room. We give a cool "straight green dollar" as they are called in our house. For the first we also gave a Hall of Clean teeth certificate (from a book). Unfortunately a lot of parents go effing insane nowadays with the tooth fairy. Maddie told us one of her classmates got $8. We told her the tooth fairy must have dropped her wallet or been drinking too much when she was at that house. One of my O11 moms said in her family everyone gives $20 to a kid when he loses a tooth so hers got $200 on one tooth!!!!

I search on Zillow all the time, and I found a house that I just fell in love with. We weren't planning on putting our house on the market until the spring, but I really feel like this might be it. I might call our real estate agent today and see what she thinks about listing it earlier.

My weight is down a little bit from my last ob appointment, so I guess I didn't do too terribly with the holiday eating!

I'm also super intrigued by your current house because every time I see pictures it looks so cool and unique.

Morning. I think I'm taking C to the nursing home to meet my grandma today. I really didn't want to bring him there but it doesn't look like she will ever be going home and she's getting worse. She will be 98 next week and all she wants is to meet him.

@wine, We live in a townhouse now. It's spacious, and it has a lot of the things we like, but we only have two proper bedrooms. The third is in the basement and is used as MH's office. We have the glass room that we use as a makeshift family/playroom on the main level, but when it's this cold-- even with the heat on --it's hard to be in there. Same for about a month in the summer. We do have a big basement which is nice. We pay an exorbitant amount in HOAfees, and they find reasons every year to increase it. Right now we're close to $700, and I don't think they do a great job imo. The house I found is in a county that we were not really looking at, but it shaves my husband's commute from 45 minutes to a little more than 15; it has great schools, and it has a town like feel which is what we have here and like. It's a 3 level 3 br 3 ba colonial -- I'm trying to look at it from two standpoints. Could we move in and not have to do anything for a year or two while the kids are little and be happy, and the answer to that is yes. Appliances added in the last 3 years and hardwood floors. Freshly painted in neutral colors. It hits all of those marks. But I also need to see that it has potential for growth. There's the ability to build a room over the garage and add a fourth bedroom, and there's piping in the basement to add a fourth bathroom (which we really would like). Land wise it's a little smaller than I considered, but that might be prudent while we learn to care for yard or hire landscapers. It does have a wooden play structure, and an above ground saltwater pool. Where I always wanted a house with a pool, I don't think above ground is the way for us to go. When I look on Zillow I tend to find things that hit 90 percent of what we want and I talk myself through the sacrifices, but this doesn't feel that way. We've never actually been through the real estate process, so this is a little daunting, but we have a good real estate agent and a good mortgage broker so I feel confident that they will help us through this. ETA: whooo, that was long!!

guster, ooh that's exciting! Also, in my mind you currently live in a really cool house that looks like a big tree house. Something that you'd see on HGTV

Our tooth fairy will be giving $1, max. If Grandma or someone wants to send her money as well for it that's fine, but it won't be from the tooth fairy, it will be from Grandma.
Cadence stayed dry again last tonight, but I made her pee twice before she fell asleep last night.
It's another cold day here, but I think it is supposed to warm up to 40 or 50.

I can see five for the first tooth, but 200 is insane. I think a dollar for every tooth thereafter is acceptable. I do like all of the little miniature things that the tooth fairy can leave for you. Like little frosted Cheerios that look like donuts and little mini letters... and I do like the idea of making the money sparkle with glitter.

I assume it was because that is what is in the wallet. I don't carry cash. I'm going to have to keep a stash of money for this purpose.

We are admittedly inconsistent with tooth fairy money because they get what we have on us and we rarely have cash. I really need to keep an envelope of small bills somewhere.
