Last night M came home from school, took off her pants and put on her Halloween skirt with her Christmas shirt. Then she turned on Nightmare before Christmas. I think she's been watching it a little too much.

Can't. 59 degrees is not reasonable. and thats when it's 50 outside. How cold will it be in here when it's 10 outside?! I wear plenty of layers and still shiver. Everyone in the building is cold. 70 days is a long freaking time to be cold for 8 hours a day. This is the tip of the ice burg for my issues with this guy. It's just the one thats sticking. And our handbook addresses everything else about the building, lockers, bathroom policies, where your purse can be stored (for tellers) and security. Including, instructing you to lock your office. Right, but you said you knew they weren't allowed before this happened. Is it shitty that he came in and took them all? Yes. However, if they aren't allowed (because of a fire hazard no less), then it's not that shocking that they were taken away. I don't think I said this? If I did, I didn't mean to. I've had them at every branch I went to. Hell, when mine stopped working back in the summer the assistant manager here gave me hers! And she's the biggest rule follower I've ever met in my life. My last branch bought them on the company card for us. We used them on the teller line all the time. It's not a rule, it's this guys thing. He hates them and has scolded people in the past but didn't take any until this time.

I wear fleece lined leggings under my work pants. I should though. And a beanie. You at work: LOL. Wonder if my computer has that voice to type thing like my phone. I can't type with mittens on!

My MIL is a realtor. She sends out an e-Christmas card every year bc she has a very extensive network of ppl she deals with (so paper cards aren’t practical) So I just received the card and it has a pic of just her w my kids. I’m feeling really pissed about this. Am I being unreasonable..... I want to say something to her to let her know this is BS and not ok but I’m also in the heat of the moment. Tell me what you think before i shoot off a nasty email.

yummeecookee, I would not be ok with that, especially if she didn't ask for permission to do so.

It’s not just a friends and family list. Its all business contacts as well - other realtors, customers she has bought and sold to, designers, stagers, contractors, who the fuck knows! My blood is boiling.

How many pictures are on the card? Is it like a collage or just the one of her and your kids?

I'm generally of the opinion, "you deal with yours, I'll deal with mine" for most confrontations with family. I'd ask my H to address it, especially since they already discussed it. He can bring up the previous conversation and ask why she went against his wishes when he expressly stated it was not okay.

yummeecookee, yep, I'd be pissed too, especially since it's to professional clients who you do not know. My MIL's Christmas card a few years ago was a pic of the whole family on the front and then a bunch of N, them with N, and SIL and BIL with N on the back. None of me and DH with N. I was pissed about that, so you have every right to be mad in my book.

I wouldn't be okay with it, @yummee. I'd wait an hour before I sent the email so I could consider how I was wording it, but it still wouldn't be very nice. She really should've asked your permission for that.

yummeecookee Nope. Would not be okay with that. It would be different if it was like a big family photo with everyone. But this looks like she's their mom or something.

yummeecookee Well first of all, the kids are adorable as always. Secondly, I'd still be pissed. Why just them and not all of y'all?

cagoldi, I generally am the same. I let him deal w his family and I deal w mine. I told he if he doesn’t deal with this though, then I will. I don’t want him to be all jokey and laughing it off w her.

Ok, that honestly that looks super weird. She looks amazing to be a Grandma but at first glance it could easily look like her kids. If you're going to have the grandkids then mention it but I've seen cards that include the WHOLE FAMILY. such a weird decision on her part.

FWP: I need to order something from amazon but DH is shopping on there for me. We share a prime account. There's stuff in the cart and I looked to make sure I didn't forget an order and it's stuff from my wish list. So thats great. But come on and hit order so I can get what I need!

That isn’t even a good picture of your kids yummeecookee . So weird. Yeah it's an odd choice. Here I am, trying to play Mom to kids who are ignoring me...? It's just so odd and I'd be pissed. I don't allow my family to post pics of my kids to FB, let alone actively send out their picture to a huge swath of people. Hell to the no.
