Add a dash of vanilla to cut the powdered sugar taste. And you can add food coloring if you want different colors! Ooooh, fun!!

I started crying this morning because I feel sad Christmas is so soon because I feel like it came super quickly and will be over so fast! Hello, pregnancy hormones. Oh don’ be sad, it’s a whole season and there’s still lots of time. Take it all in, Christmas is the best.

Morning, friends.
I wrapped gifts last night, again, but was kinda bummed out. B spent the night with Baba last night, she picked him up from daycare yesterday and apparently ‘lightly’ demanded that they go set up a Christmas tree at my Dad’s grave. Of course my Mom obliged. I mean... this kid.

Does anyone have an EASY recipe for frosting for cut out cookies? Like that frosting that kinda hardens a bit? I don't have the best track record when it comes to baking, so easy is key. Or is there somewhere I can buy it in store? That'd work as well haha. Are you able to get to the store? If so royal icing is powdered sugar, merengue powder, and a little water. Or you could just buy this

Can you put an electric heated blanket on your lap? I don't know how often you get up. I'd be miserable. I'm so sorry. I don't get up a ton but enough that it was annoying. I tried it for a few weeks after my heater was stolen. Then I just bought a new heater.. The blanket was warming my legs but my top half was still cold. And it kept getting stuck under my chair. I'm taking pictures every day for a week then I will send them to HR. Since building management is getting me NO WHERE! It's 50 outside so it's not like the heat just isn't keeping up. It seems like they haven’t even turned the heat on yet.

Morning! No magical kids this morning. I woke up to DH calling me...because S tried calling him on my phone twice. H woke up sometime after we did and was super crabby. I hope that’s not a precursor to our day. I’m currently trying to decide what I want to make myself for breakfast, nothing really sounds good today.

wineallthetime i make frosting with milk and powdered sugar. Just a little bit of milk so it stays thick. But you can spread it on and decorate them with sprinkles then it’ll harden a bit. This is what I do too, but also a splash of vanilla in it too. ETA: I see this has been covered...ignore me, I should have read all the way through first.

I call bull shit. The maintenance guy won't do anything because this building was his project. And he failed miserably. It's designed awful and just doesn't work. At all. The whole outside is glass so the interior offices and the exterior offices don't keep the same temperature and we only have one heating/air system. Anytime you mention any issue with anything about this building he loses his mind and blows up. It's something to see. I turned my heater off when the market president walked around to give out our Christmas cards and the temperature dropped 5 degress in 5 minutes.

Morning, I have been wrapping and cleaning the last two days. But I got off easy for S! She hates opening presents (I know, crazy!) so I bought a “Santa bag”. I wrapped 2 gifts from “mom and Dad” and the rest, which was smaller stuff went unwrapped into the Santa bag. So not only did I not have to wrap them all, I don’t have to endure trying to get her to open them. She loves the stuff, she just doesn’t like ripping paper. I’ve don’t gift bags before too, but even tissue paper bothers her.

Morning. Woof, j's a handful getting out the door the past few days. Yesterday he was sent into a bad behavior tailspin bc he was mad that I helped n while she was choking?? Today he was mad. I took toys away and made him get ready.
Anywho it's my director's last day and my team totally dropped the ball on a gift. So I ended up shopping at 8:45 and ended up with a Kendra Scott statement necklace in our school colors. I was able to use my bday month coupon, so wasn't too $$ either. And veuve and fancy cupcakes. I hope she loves and doesn't realize how close we were to dropping the ball. I realized we didn't do a gift on the way to her going away party. Please note that my boss probably should have arranged this, but here we are 🤔

Morning! I just met with the head of the project I'm (allegedly) working 100% on and he instructed me to start saying no to outside requests, or at least to route them to him and to my manager. GLADLY. He also agreed that I should be expecting to visit Calgary this winter for at least a week. No surprise but still, BOO!
Colin has now been dry 4 out of the 5 nights he's been in underwear, woohoo! He's so proud, it's adorable. Plus DH is thrilled, so all is well there.
Chase, on the other hand, seems to have sleeping patterns that are similar to mine as a kid. I would wake up in the middle of the night and have THE HARDEST TIME falling back to sleep. He plays for a bit but then gets bored and frustrated, so he cries. This is happening anywhere from 2-5 nights a week. We're planning on taking away his bink starting tomorrow night and at this point, it's probably all the same since he's perfectly willing to scream around the damn thing. Sigh...

Lazy day here. No work since I asked for my birthday and the day after back before I found out I was pregnant but I kept it as a recovery day.
I'm going to go grocery shopping for our Xmas eve dinner.

FWP, but we got our Christmas card from our boss's wife yesterday since he is travelling this week. We normally get cash or a Visa gift card, this time it is a Walmart gift card. Really?? I never go to our Walmart and I usually use the Christmas money to buy myself something I want. I mean, I appreciate the thought, but at the same time, it doesn't seem like much thought was put into it.
And on the same note... DH's grandma always send us giftcards for our birthdays which is really sweet of her. But she buys them for places we don't have within an hour of us. lol. But I can't be mad at her because she's the sweetest.

She said "anywhere but Outback, we hate that place" Well apparently all he heard was Outback because she got $100 to there every year for 5 years of working for him lol.

I say you go grocery shopping at Walmart and then use the money you would have used on groceries to treat yourself to something at a different store!

Does Walmart sell gift cards the way target and grocery stores do? Could you use the gc to buy yourself a gc to someplace you like?
