Still over here laughing that this was the week I thought was going to be all scheduled and such. I literally have had an event for my kid every night this week. Argh.
Yesterday no formal exercise but I walked a lot. Today I squeezed in a 30 min PZE ride with Dennis. It was 21 minutes straight zone 2. Which was good except when he said 21 minutes of zone 2 and I thought “what the hell”. But he did vary the cadence and the music was good so there was that. I haven’t been riding much lately so it definitely felt like I had to be more focused. Ended with a 5 min post ride stretch with Camilla.
Tomorrow I don’t know if I will have time for anything as I am going to a conference an hour away from home.

There was a 2 week period when it seemed like every PZ instructor had a zone 2 focused ride. It was right after my surgery, so it was perfect for me. They are surprisingly mentally challenging! And also great for working on form.

20 minute Hip Hop ride with Hannah F for me this morning. Just a little something to keep moving. Debating about the encore ride with Wilpers tomorrow morning or picking something else.

I did manage to get up in time for Rad's live 20 min Bodyweight Strength for my 600th.
I didn't get a shout-out, which I didn't expect, especially with almost 500 others on the class, but it's always nice to join a live class. However, the class, which consisted of repeating the same moves (squats, squat hold, prowler plank, bear plank, and push ups) for 16 minutes and then 4 minutes of bicycles, hollow holds, and flutters on repeat, was really boring. Sorry, Rad!
I considered it my warm up as I followed it with RK's 30 min Legs & Shoulders, then a 5 min Lower Body Stretch with her with some shoulder stretches on my own. It's so hard to believe I've finished 6 weeks of her 5 Day Split. I tracked everything in a sheet and it's kind of amazing to see how my weights increased. I need heavier ones than what I have now and not just for lower body.
I'm planning to take a deload week this coming week even as I'm tempted to just keep going. But I know if I want to increase gains and prevent injury, it's a must. So I'm putting together a plan for exactly that, which will include my 3 runs/week. I'm honestly astonished that I've not gotten bored but kudos to RK as it's just that good.

It was warm here yesterday so I picked up burritos on the way home from work and we took them to the pool. Going to the pool in the evening is our favorite time because there are only ever a few people there and it's very chill. I did the HCOF stack when we got home, which was so light it was basically like 30 minutes of stretching. No cardio for me, other than walking.
Today I'm planning a hard ride (I have a HIIT and Hills with Tunde stacked) and the lower body HCOF stack to take me into the weekend.
We're heading up to wine country for a cross country mountain bike race this weekend for DS1 so the jury is still out on what I'll be able to fit in.

Swim today, my first in a week and a half from illness/vertigo etc. I did some short sprints (25’s and 50’s) rather than a repeat time trial which I basically did the last time I was in the pool.
My 25 sprints (with fins) are still slower than my fastest ever 50/100 pace. lol and I felt like I was FLYING.
Was supposed to get strength done today but developed an ocular migraine after I got home so I’ll skip that today.

Even if I’m doing an “easy” run, it is not zone 2 work for me.

Sam Yo’s 30 minute ride from 3/27/24 was all zone 2, and also Matt’s 75 minute PZE from 8/15/23 I know Wilpers has a more recent one too, and I feel like there were more from others, but those are the ones I have bookmarked.

I walked around 3.5 miles, the first mile or so slowly with my mom and the dog, and the rest at my own faster pace. I think that will be all today because the whole family is here this weekend.

Howdy.
I felt great at 4am this morning, despite not sleeping well. The dog got neutered yesterday and he barked in his crate ALL NIGHT LONG. He was so mad about the cone and not sleeping in bed with us. H and I were up and down all night for him. And at 4am it was silent. It was the first time I didn't hear him bark all night. I knew getting up would set him off again, so I did not get up. I felt crappy for not getting up on morning when I felt rested at 4am, but H had a rough night too and I didn't want to dog disturbing him just so I could workout. Look at me being nice and shit.
Anyways, I worked out a bit after school. I did Olivia's 30 minute BLACKPINK run, a 5 minute core, and a 5 minute stretch. I'll do yoga tonight.

Haven’t checked in but managed to workout and close rings while traveling for work this week. Today was just lots of walking, and I didn’t do strength training but it sure beat doing nothing! Now hoping to keep it going because the exhaustion of travel and socializing past my bedtime is catching up with me. Lol

45 minute PZE encore ride with Wilpers, extra 10 HIIT with Kendall (Pr!), 10 minute cooldown with Hannah C, 10 minute light arms with Hannah C, and a stretch with Denis.
I’m over 100 miles on the bike for the month so far, so on track for 300.
Outdoor bike ride planned for this afternoon!

It’s over 30 degrees!” I’m like, GOSH Canada is a cold place!

Morning. I'm exhausted. The girls and I went out to the shore of Lake Ontario last night to watch the northern lights. It was so amazing! Makes up for having 100% cloud coverage while being smack dab center of the path of totality for the eclipse last month. This was worth the long night. It was incredible and the girls loved it. Anyways, me and my three hours of sleep did workout this morning. 30 minute interval run with Marcel Extra 10 run with AT 10 minute chest and back with Adrian 5 minute core with Callie 5 minute stretch with Camila Yoga tonight. I skipped it last night so I really need to do some tonight. Groceries and food prep need to happen today too since we have dance recital allllllllll day tomorrow. And in case you're curious, our view from the lake shore last night!

30 min Pilates with Kristin, 35ish minute walk in the evening. B - Chocolate PB Perfect Bar, cottage cheese L - leftover Skinnytaste fish cakes D - Emily Bites Thai chicken chopped salad S - Skinnytaste banana mug cake I went a little overboard on cocktails last weekend and I know it is going to be reflected when I weigh myself tomorrow. Wah. Just quoting myself to say somehow I lost a pound this week lol. I literally had 6 cocktails and mozzarella sticks from Sheetz Saturday night, so it doesn't make sense lol. I did walk alot this week though, so perhaps that's helping.

We were up late Aurora chasing too 😎 DS had soccer and it was freezing.
Was supposed to do a 1 hr easy ride today but it’s too cold so I swapped it with a zone 2 run. I’m definitely able to run for longer while maintaining zone 2 so that’s awesome, just over 20 min today! My walk breaks to bring HR down are also getting shorter. Haven’t seen pace improvements yet but I know I’ll get there.
Then to the gym for squats/press. Didn’t want to but I want the results so… got it done.

This week has gone well. Got past a couple mental blocks (turns out getting some stressors off my plate helps. Weird)
Getting back to tracking food is going well. Bumpy at times, but tolerable. Trend seems to be going to the right way which helps with wanting to keep going.

Happy mother's day! I love you all, through any and all feelings you may have today ❤️
I did the Robin and Jess King two for one ride and it was so good! I did a 5 minute core after and that's it for me today until yoga tonight (which I skipped again yesterday, oops). The girls have their dance recital allllllllll day today.

Happy Mothers Day!
I jinxed myself yesterday so no workout but I did squeeze in a 5 min meditation.
Got moving today for a 45 min PZE ride.
