5k run (the first 30 minutes to a HIIT run with Becs, which was hard, but what I wanted today!) 1 mile walk with the dog 20 minute power yoga with Mariana, which ended up being much more power/conditioning than I expected, but glad to have it done!

PT again this morning and just a quick 20 minute ride and core-focused barre. I know it’s good for me, but I hate how much time PT takes. I could do so much more if I didn’t have to devote 2 hrs of my morning to doing tiny ankle movements! But I know I need it badly, because I can’t even balance on my bad foot for more than 7 seconds. When I do it on the foam pad to further destabilize, it’s even worse. On the plus side, it’s feeling a lot better today (thanks to the Meloxicam, no doubt). But also, it is a little less inflamed. It would be great if the anti-inflammatory could help to permanently get rid of the inflammation.

Ok, hi.
I powered through a 20 minute ride with Ally and just did a 10 minute core focus flow with Aditi. I had more yoga stacked, but, nah. I'm good. I've got a sleep meditation stacked for when I'm done reading now instead.
I have pre-workout again now too. It's mixed and on my nightstand. I'm getting my ass up tomorrow, you guys.

My April was really up and down. Ran a 10k, got a chest cold and couldn’t do anything for 5 days, did random workouts for the rest of the month. Blah.
For May my goal is to just get some of my consistency back and set up a schedule. I’ve been winging it since I started fostering dogs again and I need to just sit down and figure it out because my mornings are for dog walks now.
Anyways, yesterday I did: 30 min country run with Wilpers 10 min core with RK 10 min lower body stretch with Selena
Today I did: 15 min low impact cardio with RK 10 min core with RK 20 min lower body strength with Callie 5 min lower body stretch with Matty

I have been training for a masters (30 and up) gymnastics meet in Boston. It is now a month away and my routines are coming together. I would love to add more difficulty on beam but I don't think those upgrades will be ready. I can't get to the gym today but will plan to do some lifting/cross training at home.

Oh hi, I got up today. Go me.
It took me 20 minutes to roll out of bed then I spent another 20 minutes talking to H, so I didn't have as much time as usual, but I did something, so yay. I did a 45 minute run with Becs. I had to drop the other 25 minutes of workouts I had planned because I ran out of time. I'll get core and my favorite super stretchy yoga in tonight.
I haven't used pre-workout since last June. I was vibrating this morning. I forget how much it causes my heart rate to spike too. It gets me up and moving, but I tend to need more recovery during workouts to manage my heart rate. I'm just grateful I got up. It's going to be mid 70s and sunny today and I want to hang outside with the kids this afternoon instead of holing up in my basement to make up workouts.

Got up early yesterday morning for a 3 mile run, slept in a bit today (b/c it's wfh day!) but got to the gym for a short strength workout followed by a brief run (1 mile) at the park across the street, then grocery pick up. Supposed to 9 w/ the trail group tomorrow as long as the expected thunderstorms don't roll in until afternoon.

Skipped my swim today but I did do squats/press. It felt awful since Its been weeks since I’ve done squats but thankfully got better after the warm up sets.
This afternoon I’ve been dizzy/vertigo-y? So that’s a bummer and do not like. I guess probably a good thing I didn’t swim today.

I skipped a run home on Thursday because it was pouring rain and I was over it. Apparently we have beat a 60-year record in Paris for the most rain in a 6-month period 🙃
I ran a 15k this morning all around the hills of Montmartre so slower and harder than usual. But it was nice to have a different route and see different views!

I didn’t do as much in April as I should have as far as strength, but I have been running more consistently the past few weeks. I’m signed up for a 5K this weekend, so, of course, AF arrived today. I’ll need to be disciplined the next several days with food, water, rest, and the other triggers to try to avoid my regular menstrual migraine. Well… today was disappointing. Ended up with a very bad migraine coming on very early this morning. I tried to fight through it and get ready to go to the 5K, but I finally gave up and took my Maxalt and went back to bed. Fought through a lot of feelings of discouragement and disappointment in my body. I’d really been looking forward to this run, so now my challenge will be to find a new one to keep me motivated, and to try to keep up my progress made in the meantime. Yesterday I walked 10K+ busy steps on DS’s zoo field trip, and at bedtime, he told me, “Best day ever!” I know I was a little dehydrated and tired from that, but if I had to pick between spending the fun day with him or doing the little 5K, I’d pick him again. I’m glad at least that my headache waited until today! Silver lining.

That’s a bummer Bookshelves, but you made the right call to listen to your body and not push it. There will be other 5ks and nothing can take away the training and preparation you did before today!

Morning.
30 minute interval run with Marcel Extra 10 run with Hannah 20 minute upper body strength with Logan 10 minute core benchmark with Emma 10 minute stretch with Robin
The kids and I are off to Syracuse today, if H ever gets back from getting the camper inspected (he needs some help backing it back into the driveway since our third bay has only half a spot that's angled. It's a PITA the back the trailer onto).
No yoga tonight because we'll get back late. I'm loving falling asleep to meditations with my headband thing though. I have yet to make it to the end of a 30 minute meditation, so I'll do one of those too.
Food will be whatever.

I felt better this morning but turned my head too fast or something and back into some mild vertigo. I’m thinking it might be a slight URI causing it because it’s pretty mild, my sinuses still feel wonky and DS is hoarse and boogery. Idk. Anyway skipping my brick today which is a bummer because the weather is amazing and FINALLLLY not super windy.
So. Gonna focus on rest and hydration today.

I did a long slow run with run club this morning, 60 min slow conversational pace, then last 10 min at push pace. It felt good! The push pace felt like I was flying, after an hour at easy pace. So fun! End result just shy of 6 miles.

Morning.
45 minute techno ride with Jess King 5 minute core with Olivia 5 minute stretch with Emma
Yoga and meditation tonight.
I had two 20 minute rides stacked, but that Jess ride was front and center when I turned my bike on and I just yupped right into it. It was hard as shit. I thought I might die the last 9 minutes. I set a new PR too, even with keeping my resistance on the low end most of the time. Just brutal, but so, so good.
I need to food prep today. And drink a billion gallons of water. Woof.
