We're going to see the Music Man next week! I'm also seeing Aladdin solo the next afternoon while MH is working. There weren't very many matinee shows to choose from - the other options were the Lion King and Book of Mormon. I've seen both on tour in the past, but never the stage performance of Aladdin so I'm excited. Just got an email that Hugh Jackman won't be performing for our show on Thursday. They offered a full refund so we took it. What should we go see instead? It's MH and I. We've seen a lot of the mainstream shows. Considering Hadestown since I don't think MH would be into Six. Oh that’s a bummer, I’m sorry. I was intrigued by Girl from the North Country after watching the Tony’s last night. It’s all Dylan songs but it’s closing very soon too. Here’s a review: www.nytimes.com/2020/03/05/theater/girl-from-the-north-country-review.html

I saw he has covid 😬 I was watching the Tony's thinking there's way too much hugging and kissing going on here. He face also looked a little different, I was trying to figure out if he was sick or losing weight or just getting older.

Have you seen “Come from Away”? That’s my absolute favorite and they’ve announced they’re closing in October. (I have tickets for the last show). You are going to love Aladdin - the special effects are amazing. I also hope to see “A strange loop”. They have discount codes available now too. I’ll check out Come From Away! A Strange Loop is sold out this entire week, probably after all the Tony wins so that one’s out. MH seems very into Hadestown. I probably shouldn't have made any suggestions until I really picked what I wanted to see 😂 I LOVE Come From Away so much!

The tickets were too expensive to not see the star of the show. It was really nice that they offered a refund though! It would have been worse to show up and see he wasn’t performing.

I got into the city earlier than expected and grabbed one of the last tickets to the Six matinee today while Mh was working. What a FUN show! I really loved it! But also was right that I think MH wouldn’t have like it so glad I had to chance to go myself.

I never posted, Mean Girls was fun, but the sound was "off" (too loud to the point of being crackly & really pitchy), so it took away a lot of the experience. I don't think I'd see it again and I'm not listening to it on replay, so there's that.
Now, we're eying Pretty Woman: the musical in December, but that isn't available to purchase tickets for yet, and it's about an hour and a half away, so we have to take weather in December in Michigan into consideration.

Beanie Feldstein is leaving Funny Girl and there's a rumor on DeuxMoi that the cast was told Lea Michele will be replacing her. And now I'm on a 24-7 Broadway Twitter watch until this is resolved one way or the other.

I'm taking my daughter to see it in August when it comes to our city. I hope they get the sound fixed!

The set is so cool, though. I think that may have been my favorite part as a whole.

My kids love Matilda!! I hope it's good. We were all let down by the live action movie.
We have tickets to Beetlejuice next month. My sister's family has already gone and my niece got my boys into the music.

There's an ongoing joke with our group of friends that H's favorite movie is Matilda. It's just his "it's on, so I'm going to watch it movie" and he hates every time it's mentioned. I think I might text everyone & set up a movie night & surprise him with it.

Broadway fans, could use your help! I'm taking my 13YO daughter on a kind of last min NYC trip the first week in Aug; we booked last night so now we want to get theater tickets. We were there in Nov and saw a lot of shows- Six, Hadestown, Moulin Rouge (my fav!!!) and Little Shop. We've seen Hamilton and Come From Away. Top of our list is Into the Woods- I want to book those tix today. We'd like to see one more show. What should we see? fwiw- going with my mom and SIL so there are 4 of us. TKTS is certainly an option!! My daughter has not seen Wicked but the rest of us have. My mom is interested in MJ My dd would also like to see Harry Potter I'm interested in Paradise Square
What should our second show be?

Can you split up for the 2nd show? Maybe take your daughter to see Harry Potter and the others see something they want? While in like for Six last week, a mom and daughter were raving about Harry Potter so as a mom of 3 Harry Potter-obsessed girls, I’d try to get to that one lol

But I still got pretty good balcony seats in the second row. I’m very excited!

I can't decide what will produce more of a reaction: Lea Michele getting it, or not.
