If by scary you mean true crime shows then I'm pretty hardcore.

Paging klong11, cagoldi, and xolastunicornxo. We're all horror movie fans. I also am interested in the other things you mentioned plus true crime. I think it passed on to my girls too because they are mini creepers. Two of their favorite movies are Coraline and Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't have much time for it now, but I watch movies when I can. I used to read a lot of Stephen King. The Talisman is one of my favorites.

I like scary movies; but prefer the psychological thrillers (i.e. Split, Hide and Seek, Halloween) to the demonic/paranormal (The Exorcist, The Ring, The Grudge etc.)

My husband and I are scary movie fans, that's how we knew we were each other's person. :-) We watch them pretty regularly. My favorite movies are Halloween 1 and 2. I love John Carpenter. I also love and follow the special effects guys from the 80's and 90's. I don't really like slasher porn, but I'll watch it because of the effects. But I don't normally gravitate towards it. Give me Paranormal thrillers, and suspense any day. Which is why Jaws and Jurrasic Park are some of my favorite films.
After The Conjuring I became obsessed with Lorraine and Ed Warren.
Two years ago I went on a haunted house road trip with my h. We are weird.

Was split good?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I liked it. It is M. Night Shyamalan, so it does go a bit into the paranormal. I thought that James McAvoy did a great job.

Also John Carpenter is working on a Halloween movie for 2018. I saw the poster art and it gave me chills.

miawallace , we have very similar interests. I'll watch slashers but they are not my favorite. I definitely prefer supernatural/psychological thrillers. Storm of the Century was a Stephen King miniseries from about 15 years ago that was probably the creepiest thing I ever watched. Fun fact: I used to babysit the girl from The Ring, Samara.

I like scary stories, ghost stories, creepypasta type stuff. I love shows about hauntings. Paranormal stuff is fun.
I do not like gory horror films anymore. The Saw movies were horrifying. I hated it. The worst movie I ever saw was Strangers. That shit scared me for months, maybe years. I might still scare me
Love thrillers.

I loved the Stephen King Rose Red mini-series. I always go back to watching it because it's so good. I love a good ghost story.

The Strangers is one of those movies where you only watch once. I couldn't do it again. It's nuts. They have a home invasion movie on Netflix called Hush. It's pretty good and not as intense as The Strangers. That stuff is scarier because it can actually happen.

I forget which part that was.

Frailty is a good religious thriller on Netflix. I watched it a few years ago and it was pretty cool.
The Mothman Prophecies is a good flick too. I believe it's on Starz if you have the app.

I can't wait it after that bc it scares me so much. It's one of my favorites! The same also goes for Sinister. Not a favorite, but scares the crap out of me and I only watch it during our Scary Movie October month. Halloween is one of DH and I's favorite holidays Another "newer" movie I really enjoyed was Dark Skies.

you get me I love true crime. My background tv shows when I'm alone are paranormal/ghost hunting shows. Mh hates it, but I love it. When I was in college, we went on a ghost tour for a bachelorette party and it was a lot of fun. I love horror movies. I don't like demonic movies, because my husband dragged me to the opening night of paranormal activity 3 and I didn't sleep that night. Something about kids being possessed gets to me. We have a book about exorcisms (MH was a religion and philosophy major in college and went through this phase reading about demons)and I can never finish reading it because I get so freaked out.

I love scary stories but they also freak me out, I just like to torture myself haha. I've had a couple ghost experiences that I've told a few people about but most of them (including my husband) just roll their eyes and say ghosts aren't real. WHATEVER MAN. I'm the weirdo that will go on ghost tours while on vacation, I've been to one up in Victoria BC and then one in Las Vegas while on my honeymoon. My heart was probably racing a million miles a minute the entire tour for both of them, but they were super interesting!

I grew up watching horror movies. Probably started way too young because our neighbors dad was OBSESSED. Like dressed up in a Jason mask and chase us around the yard with his chainsaw obsessed. Super safe. Ah, the 90's! My mom is the #1 horror/thriller expert. She's seen every Netflix scary movie known to man. I enjoy watching criminal procedural shows like CSI and Criminal Minds to relax. I'm definitely a weirdo.

We have had to scale down on the actual horror because we have a 2 year old. But I absolutely love Halloween. We watch Halloween 1 and 2 every year. I have become a fan of James Wan recently because he does really good ghost movies. I loved Conjuring and Anabel. I loved the first 2 Insidious movies.

I'm really excited for the It remake. I can appreciate the first movie. But I never really found it scary. Maybe I'm broken. I heard they are making this remake scarier. Who knows.
