I am trying to finish packing for our trip next week but I have no idea how many diapers to take. We cloth diaper at home xcept at night. For those that use disposable how many on average do you use a day?
Also, I tried with a bottle today and L just chewed on the nipple. Should I keep trying or consider just moving on to a sippy cup? I have two months left of mat leave so I have time but I should probably start figuring this out. I don't want him to just not eat when I go back and DH to get upset and frustrated (he is taking pay leave).

keep the house clean and the laundry moving, go to work, spend time with my kids, make sure everyone is fed, and exercise occasionally? That is literally the minimum. I should be better at this. Lots of people get a lot more done and do a better job. We have the same number of hours in the day. WTAF. Except I don't think anyone is doing all of this on their own. Either they have help that comes in or at least one of these things is suffering. And you juggle it around so it's not the same thing being left. I've been telling DH this because we don't seem to have the same priorities. His pet peeve is dishes piling up and that's the easiest thing for me to leave when i need to be in my sewing room.(I make a lot of my clothes and am supposed to be making some stuff to sell) I don't even have an outside job in the equation, but plenty of other "activities". I organized a small craft fair for last weekend for example. The thought about just surviving and not thriving, we were discussing that in ladies Sunday School a couple weeks ago. The thought was that life is busy, especially at this stage, and thriving comes from attitude and being able to live in the moment. It was a good reminder for me.

I just got accepted to the nearby University for the spring semester. I’m really hoping I’ll have my teacher license renewed by the end of summer. I probably won’t have it in time to teach the next school year, but it looks like my days of being a sahm are coming to an end! I’ve been a sahm for 5 years, but I think it will do my mental health a lot of good to go back to work.

stardust84 I change his diaper about every time I feed him. Plus if he poops which is rare. I guess you could count how many times you change him in a day until you leave and go off of that. I would keep trying with the bottle, that is what DS did/does also. He would chew on the nipple for a couple minutes sometimes before he'd actually drink, now he gets a bottle several times a week and knows to go right to drinking.

For those that use disposable how many on average do you use a day? How long are you going to be out of town? Personally when I go out of town, I just buy the diapers when I get there. That way I’m not traveling with a box of diapers...but I’m usually out of town for 2 weeks at a time. Or you can maybe buy just a small package and travel with that. I’m not sure how many we go through a day though.

Usually when we go somewhere it’s for the weekend and I take the caddy we keep on L’s dresser that has diapers, diaper cream, lotion, nail clippers, Tylenol, saline spray, etc. in it. And then I throw a bag of wipes in. I think it holds about 50 diapers, which is plenty for a weekend, but I’m sure you’ll need more than that. @clemebtine That is about what I was thinking. I don't mind buying some there is I run out but I have so many at home and we have the luggage room so I would rather take the majority of them. Thanks.

N is OK. She got a blotchy rash/hives around her mouth after a few bites of oatmeal with peanut butter, different from the red bumps she sometimes gets from her eczema. It disappeared about 70 minutes after appearing.
I put a call into our allergist (my 2 year old is allergic to some nuts, too) and she'll have testing (skin prick) on November 1.

Leaf 🌱 you are describing every night for h and me. also yes to surviving not thriving. i keep asking when it’s not going to feel like this. i always get stressed at the thought of date night (finding a sitter, baby not taking a bottle, staying out “late”) but im always glad that we get out once it happens and it makes everything else a little easier for awhile. There are some great parents night out programs around here. Pm me if you’re interested. $25/family and I get 3 hours alone with my dh once a month. Freaking amazing.

I see our babies were on the same schedule last night/this morning. It was super fun to get ready with a baby on my hip that refused to be put down. But I was thrilled with only one wake up... until I realized I had a plugged duct. I guess that’s what happens when you go from nursing 3 times overnight to only once.

Hi, almost everything in this thread describes me to a T. I am feeling stressed, overwhelmed, I get anxious about my house not being cleaned to the level I like. I get anxious because I want to eat healthier, but I dislike cooking. I am struggling with all of my almost 5 year olds tantrums and emotional breakdowns. I feel like I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off at work and at home. I am tired. I am definitely in the surviving not thriving stage. Also, I have gained too much weight and I told myself this morning it has to be taken care of because I don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe. I am considering joining Weight Watchers again, I need to do something. All of this stuff is contributing to why I have been slacking with conversing with you ladies. I feel like I never have time to do anything anymore, but I know I do. DH and I are hopefully going on a date this weekend. I need some kid free time, but I hate trying to find a babysitter. I will probably put that on DH's shoulder. L naps good for us at home, but now night sleep is suffering. We rarely get longer than a 5 hour stretch right now. I need to just let him fuss it out some night, but I don't want it to wake up older DS. mintyblueair, I am glad N is okay.
