I’m shruggy about the cervical checks. I’ll probably let my OB do them whenever but I won’t get too excited or worried about the results either way. I have induction scheduled for 39+2 this time so at least I know I won’t be going overdue. If she wants to do a membrane sweep before then I’m all for it but I know it might not work.

I'm pretty breezy about the cervical checks too. I've had a few the last few weeks because of bleeding and although they are not the most comfortable thing they don't bother me too much so if my ob wants to check then I'm just like whatever.

I'll probably get the cervical checks each week even though they're optional. I like to know what's going on lol

I am not feeling well today. I just feel off. My heart rate feels elevated, I'm sweaty and having hot flashes, no appetite, etc. I also had several small contractions (or maybe just cramping down low?) while shopping at Target this morning.

We pulled the crib, newborn clothes, 0-3 month clothes and bottles out of the shed. Its starting to get real. We are going to wait to pull out the swing and pack and play. I’m washing all of the clothes today. They still smell like M when she was tiny. Even though she was born in the summer I think most of her clothes will work. Lots of long pants and long sleeves. We just might have to get a couple sweatshirts for her short sleeves.
It’s starting to get more real. And holy crap a ton of stuff coming back into my house.

Total bum today. I’ve left the bed for a total of maybe one hour. It’s an adjustable mattress and I’ve found a happy setting for my back and hips so I haven’t wanted to move. It was a long work week and though I have a million things I could do, this felt amazing.

I had MH inflate my exercise ball. DD has spent most of the evening rolling around the living room on it. I'm hoping it'll help coax DS into the right position. I feel like he's just nestled into my right hip/side.

I've been realizing the past couple days that I'm reaching the point where I can no longer sit with my legs together 😆 And there are getting to be more and more times when I bend a certain way that I really feel like there's a baby down in my pelvic girdle... Yikes.

I had a counseling appointment yesterday. I am much happier with this woman. She really wants to continue weekly but it all depends on child care and cost. I went to another consignment event yesterday and managed to find a Sealy crib mattress still in the bag for $30! Not sure if I'll be in a place where I can have a crib when he's born but I figured that I might as well catch that deal. I also found a Joovy Caboose sit and stand stroller for $25. The website says it's compatible with our infant seat, unlike the Britax double I got for free. DD loves the sit and stand feature. I also finally bought yarn to start knitting him a hat and blanket. I got this beautiful spiced color that is a bit like burnt orange and very Fall. I'm very excited about it. Other than that, just trying to keep on keeping on.

pixiepink24 great that you've found a counselor that you like - I hope things work out that you are able to keep seeing her. Also, awesome finds at the consignment sale!! And please share a pic of the hat and blanket you're making when you're done 😊

We have our prenatal meeting with our doula this afternoon. It was scheduled to be during DS's naptime, but the past 4 days naps have randomly been a disaster. It's very unlike DS to have trouble with his afternoon nap so I have no clue what's going on. I hope I'm able to focus on this meeting and that DS can quietly watch a movie or something during it if he refuses to nap again..... I really need naptime to get back on track for my sanity 😩

tbirdlove - I can't sit with my legs completely closed either unless I sit on the edge of the seat with my knees lower than my hips. Climbing stairs I have to turn my legs out a bit too or I bump my bump with my thighs. pixiepink24 - That's great you found a counselor you like. I hope cost and childcare can work out so you can keep going. Those sound like great deals! And enjoy the knitting!

I love being judged by strangers...said no pregnant women ever.
I bought one of those Starbucks Doubleshots (the small espresso drink in a can) at CVS. I've checked, they're only 110mg caffeine, they're fine. Cashier rings up my stuff and comments that he didn't put it in the bag so it didn't get the card I bought wet. I say thanks and that I plan to pop it open immediately anyway.
He picks it up again, puts it down, and goes "you're going to give THAT to the baby?".
Thanks dude... 🙄

So much accomplished today, but now I’m worn out. DD2s room is coming together. I need to wash some things and get the decor on the wall and that’s about it. We spent the day working on her room and hanging some things I’ve had since we moved to this house in December. 🤦🏾♀️ I’ve also made room in the kitchen cabinets for bottles and pump supplies. I still need to get all of it sterilized but I’m feeling better about at least having things in the proper place.

Omg so much pressure today. I hope it lets up because I still have 9 more weeks. I felt better when I took a bath but as soon as I got out it came right back. So I’ve been laying down most of the day and dreading going back to work in the morning.

Nymeria chriskoo I don't think I've had a situation like this happen to me and I'm so not sure how I would react. I probably wouldn't say anything back, but it would hurt my feelings and I'd stew over it all day. I'm sorry you've both had people do this sort of crap. teambrink glad you're making progress with getting things ready and that it's helping you feel good! akwild I'm sorry for the discomfort. Hopefully it's just a phase and maybe a belly/baby growth spurt. I hope the day of rest helps and you're feeling a little better tomorrow.

Got the furniture put back in place in the nursery today and started the baby laundry. Took me forever to fold the first big load I did... That should be the biggest one though, thank goodness!
Our meeting with my doula went well. She showed me some things I can do to help baby get in a good position and we went over my birth preferences in detail. It was a good meeting.
Toddler continues to push boundaries and it is an enormous test of my patience.... A test that I am failing miserably 😔

I started a little baby laundry as well. Primarily washing the covers of things (boppy, my breastfriend, tummy time mat, etc.). I will have to do a little at a time starting now as I will also have cloth diapers to give a fresh wash as well.

tbirdlove - Care to share those positioning tips from your doula when you have a chance? I'm already doing some stuff but I'm always up for hearing what the professionals recommend!!

Nymeria, yes! We talked about when sitting upright, to sit tilted forward. Like you're sitting on the front of your pelvic circle. I'm so bad at this - I'm most comfortable partially reclined on the couch! But that just allows baby to flop to either side! Hands and knees is great because gravity encourages baby's back to "hammock" down in your belly. Sitting on the ball, legs wide is good, swaying and dipping hips when standing. She showed me a rebozo technique, that uses a woven wrap or long scarf to help support the belly and provides a little "jiggling" sensation that can help encourage repositioning baby. You need another person to control the wrap. There's a forward leaning inversion you can do that should help baby kind of float back up out of the pelvis a little, then when you come back up (or better first to hands and knees) baby has the opportunity to come back down into the pelvis in a better position. Like if baby's head were a little crooked and needed the opportunity to straighten out. She also showed us a couple kind of pressure spots to help relieve some different pains. She's certified in Spinning Babies so I think most of the info is actually on that website! I know I'm certainly not explaining these very well 😕 so I'd recommend checking out the website if you have time for better details. I just went to look at it again now and there's tons of stuff on there! It's spinningbabies.com/

Both boys had a stomach bug this weekend, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. I tried so hard to wash everything and keep myself healthy, but newp. I caught it too. They recovered quick, so I'm hoping I will too.
Worst art of throwing up right now is I can't control my bladder enough. After peeing myself the first time, MH brought in ds2's little potty to catch anymore pee when I throw up again. 😂
