Maybe I'll just buy the baby a few new outfits so he's got some things of his "own". I think I saw someone mention having an older sibling pick out some clothes for the baby- can't find who it was now but thanks for the idea! DS will love that.

In terms of items we are getting for #2:
- crib (DS is using his as a toddler bed, then it will convert to a full size bed, already purchased) - mattress (DS is using his) - changing table (there's no space in the room for a dresser, but the closet has decent shelving in it) - wall decorations (already purchased -- stars theme) - bedding (probably just sheets & mattress protectors ... DS has yet to use the fancy comforter that came with his bedding set) - bringing home from hospital outfits/sex announcement (already purchased, one boy/one girl outfit from Zutano) - new nipples for bottles - double stroller (maybe, undecided) - glider - Tula infant insert - minimal clothing (only if baby is a girl, no planned clothing purchases if baby is a boy)
Diapers obviously, but that's about it! If DS was out of his crib already, we wouldn't be getting another one. We just transitioned him to the toddler bed and he is doing really well with it but won't be ready for the next step by November.

Ahh yay grumpycat - you gave me some ideas! We will need new nipples for bottles and an infant insert for our ergo. Thank you!

pootsen I'm not sure how often you are supposed to replace the bottle nipples, but I read somewhere that they do degrade over time.
