I use DD and DS. When you all say letters like C and R, I don't know who the fuck you are talking about. Son, daughter, husband. I try to guess but will move on.

I use "my kid" or DD. I go back and forth on internet privacy, but I probably won't share her name on here. Which maybe is silly, because add me to the list who gave their kid an 80s name.

I use DS just because everyone else does the same, and it makes more sense in context. I have no issues sharing his name on here, though. (It's Milo.)

I usually say lo or just give the age of the child I'm referring to as I have all boys. I have listed their names more than once on BabyNames board, on my old bmb and even on parenting. I've posted pics too. I guess I've been negligent and the one time I got nervous about providing too much personal info it caused a hullabaloo. I use h and dh both.

I refer to them as different things on different boards. On here/the general board, they're either the big kid or the toddler. On my BMB, I still say the big kid or A. On twitter, I used initials and on Instagram, I'll use their full first names. ETA: my husband is either my husband or just H.

I use DS and SS. On my bmb I referred to DS as B, which comes from a nickname. I've shared his name only one time I can recall, it's common. I won't share my stepsons name because it's not common.

I generally use DS, unless I am on a private board - then I use real names (yes, I know internets aren't private, but idk, I'm just more comfortable with first names there). I changed my username here (from TCF/TB), so I would probably be more comfortable using first initials on the general boards.
+1 to not using DH. I just use H.

I mostly use DD.
I use her name more frequently on the boards with smaller populations.

I typically use her first initial on my BMB. But if I'm posting elsewhere I use DD.
I don't have a problem using her first name, I just don't normally. It's not a super common name but it's also not incredibly unique.

I use DD. I will have to figure out how to differentiate between the two in a few weeks though. Maybe I will use big kid/little kid.

I say DD, because I don't expect you all to know how old she is or her sex with her first initial. I also go with just H, rather than DH, because if I'm complaining about him he's not exactly dear. They have the same first initial, so for me it makes sense this way. I'm sure I shared her first and middle names when she was born (on TD) and my BMB is on Facebook, so that's all real names, now.

I always say E. And I typically follow up quickly with how old he is because I don't expect you guys to remember how old he is, his name, etc. I have and would share his name without issue.

DD's name I've shared online in the past, back on TD when I was pregnant with her and she was first born. I used to have a blog with her name in the URL (I've changed it since then and gone back through and removed it from posts). Her first name isn't super common but it's not super rare, either. Now that she's school age (going into 4th grade) I'm being more cognizant of trying to keep her identity under wraps because kids will start googling that stuff. Of course, now she wants to start a YouTube channel so my efforts may be in vain.

I usually say DS1/DS2 when I post in forums. Their names are super common so I am not concerned about privacy issues. It just seems easier to use the abbreviation.

I say DD so everyone knows who I'm talking about, but would prefer to use first initial because the "dear" part annoys me. I refer to my husband as MH or H.

I prefer "my kid" because that sounds much more conversational than DS but I also use DS because that appears to be the social norm around here. And I love me some social norms.

For the record, I expect everyone to remember every single detail about me and my son.
If you loved me, you would.

I have given hints to what his name is on the regular boards and have shared first name on the baby name board to talk about it with someone who was thinking about using it, but otherwise use DS.
I don't worry about anyone finding me now that we are over here, but I am in the DS habit and have a hard time remembering boy/girl when people use initials, not that it usually matter.

I use DD, "my kid", whatever I feel like at the time. I've also told her name on public boards. I am unconcerned about triangulation because a) I am not interesting enough for that; b) I managed to pick an extremely common name for DD so it wouldn't really help figure out who I am.

I usually use DD and a number or the kid's age. If I said their name or initial I doubt most of you would know which kid I mean. I've said their names at TCF a few times.

I use DD/DS or their initials. That said I am still upset I missed what dc2london named her little girl.

I have 4 kids. Usually their age is needed for context anyway, but you'd seriously need to have a post-it in order to know who was who were I to bandy initials or names about.

I use DD since that's what everyone else does and if I used B it doesn't really state who that is.

I often say "my kid" or even more specific, "the eight-year-old" or "the three year-old". I don't really like DS. Plus I have two stepsons and I find SS confusing. Three out of the four kids have pretty identifiable names, especially in context with each other, though I have shared my own children's names here once or twice. I would never share my stepsons' names beyond initials because they are not mine to share.

I also don't care for the abbreviation of DS/DD but have been using it because that's what everyone else does lol. Also "the toddler/the infant", "the big kid," etc. I do like LO because it's gender neutral and I feel like it's more stealthy if someone were to be creeping? Idk. I almost never use their real initials.
Usually I go with MH for the husband.

I use DD1, DD2, and DS for privacy reasons when on public boards but my bmbs know their real names. All of my kids' names begin with the same letter (it didn't start out intentionally 😜) so typing their initial doesn't work out too well.

I have a situation that I find complicated.
I have 2 living sons. Seems like DS1 and DS2 would make sense, but the older one is not my oldest, as they have a big brother in heaven.
So I usually refer to them as DS and LO. I find it awkward sometimes.
On my BMB I usually refer to my LO by his first initial.
I think I probably shared his name when he was born.
