Both my kids names start with O, so I don't use initial because that'd get confusing, and since I have one boy and one girl it's just easier for me to type dd or ds.
I've typed their names only a handful of times. Definitely not often. I just don't want to be putting their names out there.

My husband I've noticed I refuse to put DH for. Not really sure why I feel like that's dumb, but yet will do DS and DD He's just H Same. I use DD/DS because that seems to be what everyone does, but I've actually typed DH and then deleted the D because it feels weird to me.

DS and DD are F'nA which makes me laugh.
I tried using F for DS recently and it just looks weird.
I've put their names out there before, but not together.

My son's nickname is Buddy (also Bud, BudBud) and I used to use that, but got tired of the "did you really name him that?" questions, so I mostly call him DS online. Except in my Facebook BMB, because there they clearly know my RL name so might as well.

I use DD or DS. I have a hard time remembering who has which child of which gender, so if you refer to your child as "C" I try to look for other identifiers or just take a guess. DD or DS avoids that.
Both kids have distinctive, unusual names, so I try not to use them. I have posted them before (for curious folks) and later poofed them.

I really like the DD/DH/etc conventions because I hate trying to decipher without context who someone is talking about. And it's extra weird when the person's first initial is "I."

I use DS. It's not really a privacy thing for me, it's more like a clarity thing
"I went to the store with DS today" is clearer and shorter than "I went to the store with my son Maxwell today"

Usually DS or DD. I have written their names here and on tcf and tb. On fb I usually use initials. Dd's name is really long and I am lazy. Got into the habit of initials there. Only SPIFF knows me off of here, so nobody their initials here.

DS because everyone else was doing it back on TB days. It's become habit & it's easy.

Whatever I feel like at the moment. Mostly it's her nickname. Sometimes I say "my kid", or LO. I don't have any qualms saying her nickname here. I never call her by her actual first name.

I have mentioned it before. It's not unique. I usually use her first initial or DD. I just usually see most people saying DD or DS and go with the flow.

I've shared my kids' names on here before, but I usually use DS and DD for clarity. I wouldn't expect anyone who hasn't met them to remember their names or initials.

To add, I have a stepson as well. I see people using BS or SS for a stepson. I used to use BS, but I realize that can mean Bullshit. So now I say SS or stepson, since I guess SS can be special snowflake as well.

I really like the DD/DH/etc conventions because I hate trying to decipher without context who someone is talking about. And it's extra weird when the person's first initial is "I." "I shit on the floor today" could have led to a lot of misunderstandings when all I really wanted was sympathy about DS1's potty training woes.

First initial. I hate, hate, hate the "dear" in DD, DS etc. It gives me flashbacks to my creepy old great grandma. No thank you.
I also say kid, or LO, or heck even my daughter.

I can't type just her first initial "I" out of context because it looks like I can't speak English. I usually just say baby or baby girl. Or small human. Or Little Face. I have a gaggle of nicknames.
I choose not to use her name because of identifying info on me. It should probably have more to do with her now that I think about it.

At least I didn't shit on the floor today!

I don't want anyone to figure out who I am based on her name. It's pretty uncommon, not in the top 100. I do know 3 people with her name though.

When he was newborn, I gave him a nickname derived from the pet name for him my mom uses. Then someone made fun of that, so I stopped and just shortened it to S. Which could stand for Son, but it seems weird to me to use that because his first initial is M. I could use that, but Mh's first initial is also M, so that seems weird to me. So I usually just end up referring to him as my kid / kiddo. Idk, I've thought too much about this clearly. If it hasn't been said already that person is an asshole.

I won't put their actual names, I'm a super internet privacy girl. I don't really like DD and DS so I usually just say my kid or describe them by age.

On my bmbs I use their first initials, I also shared their names when they were born. On bigger boards, like this one, I use DD1 or 2.

DS/DD feels so weird to me to type out but not to read from others. Idk why. I usually say the toddler, the tiny one, the baby, etc. which I guess is super confusing when you don't know which is which. Sorreh. I'll work on my DS/DD-ing.

I use DD and DS for clarity. I don't expect anyone to know which child I mean if I use initials. I have shared both of their names a handful of times on TD and TCF during name discussions, but I prefer not to use them frequently for privacy reasons. Also, DS has an uncommon name. I've given the clue in the past that he shares a name with a pro golfer. It's Tiger

Mostly I use SD. Occasionally B or Bean. Even her first name wouldn't be a big deal because it's one of the most popular names of her generation, but I'm too lazy for that.
I have no idea what I will do with LO because we can't even agree on a damn name. He may be Nugget forever.
