How is everyone doing this week? I feel horrible, I hate 1st trimester. What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activites? Christmas morning What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I can’t think of a single thing right now because I feel so gross lol What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? Nausea is killing me. Had an ultrasound today, baby is measuring 6W1d and a heartbeat of 122.

How is everyone doing this week? This morning I actually feel decent!!!! I took B6 and Unisom last night-- jeez it makes such a difference! I have to experiment with B6/Unisom vs Diclegis. I think the extended release of the Diclegis leaves me too spacy all day. I am going to try taking B6 once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and then once at night with Unisom, and see how long that lasts me during the day. If it wears off too soon, maybe I'll just try 1 Diclegis at night. Seriously, though, peeps- this is my first pregnancy taking anything for nausea and it is miraculous-- if you're feel shitty, try it!
What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activites? I hope I can get it together enough to make cookies with the kids. DS1 had a lot of fun decorating last year and DS2 is old enough to participate this year. These days it's more about being excited vicariously for the holidays through them.
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I love feeling the baby move around and daydreaming about what kind of little person they're going to be.
What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? First trimester, definitely. The nausea and exhaustion and just feeling gross. Also the uncertainty before you've had any screenings, and trying to keep it on the d/l at work when you feel like shit... then you get home and have no patience or energy for your kids. It sucks.

I was taking declegis and still feeling shitty. I actually feel better now that I didn’t take it last night. I’m interested to see how your b6 and unison experiment goes, definitely let me know!

How is everyone doing this week? Kind of stressed out. I had repeat bloodwork today. My HCG didn't double like it did last time and my progesterone level dropped. The nurse said it was totally fine, but of course it is still worrying me. Going in on Friday for my first ultrasound. What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activites? Love Christmas Eve at my parents house. And then Christmas day at our house. Love the lights, warmth, etc of both nights. I am excited to be off for the week after Christmas this year. It'll be nice to spend time with DD when all the chaos is over. What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I love you can feel the movements. What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? The worrying about test results, getting things done, etc. Read more: howeverithappened.proboards.com/thread/9841/randoms-12-6-gtky#ixzz50WgDgvWf

Hi ladies!
Favorite Christmas tradition is driving around town with my girls to look at lights. Also decorating the outside of our home.
Favorite part of being pregnant is the shopping and maybe giving birth. It sounds weird but I think I dislike being pregnant enough that giving birth is a relief.
Worst part of being pregnant for me is gaining weight (which I am very good at). I am very self conscious about it and the weigh-ins at the doctor give me serious anxiety. Also not a big fan of the exhaustion and shortness of breath. Of course it is all worth it!

The second DS came out I was so happy to be able to take a deep breath again and to have my body back to myself (even if it was very battered lol)

How is everyone doing this week? Surviving, trying to distract myself.
What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activites? I like looking at decorations and lights all month
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? Allowing myself to indulge in some pregnant eating
What do you have the hardest time with while being pregnant? The anxiety. I have bad anxiety regularly but being pregnant gives me something to focus it all on, it is not pretty.

I'm doing great so far. The first few weeks when all of it is fresh and exciting is great. I love the new traditions H and I are making together with our boys. I never really had Christmas at home. While I loved my moms big family, I often wanted to just be home. The first few weeks are the best or the end. Hardest part is the fact that I've had hypermesis gravidarum ( HG -- think duchess Kate). It usually starts at 6 or 7 weeks. Lasted through 27 weeks with my first and 20 weeks with my second. Zofran and fluids that aren't water are my friends. Then heartburn sets in when it stops. So yeah. Labor and a new baby.

How is everyone doing this week? Pretty good, excited, but still anxious. No symptoms or anything yet, which was how it was with my DD.
What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activites? I love everything about the Christmas season. We have this super fancy hotel near us that has tons of lights and a huge gingerbread display each year - we've been going for the past 7 years and it's one of my favorite things.
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? Hmm, I didn't mind the extra doting from my husband. I work in healthcare and the patients also tend to be nicer to me when I'm pregnant, haha!
What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? I threw up from week 7 or 8 onward in my last pregnancy. I'm really hoping not to repeat that again.

How is everyone doing this week? Pretty good. Nothing exciting happening over here.
What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activities? Decorating the tree while listening to Mannheim Steamroller and drinking mulled wine (which I can’t indulge in this year 😫)
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? All the extra back rubs I get from DH.
What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? Sciatica. It has started earlier and earlier each pregnancy. I basically spent 6 months sitting on a massager or a tennis ball.

How is everyone doing this week? Much better now since my appointment went well today.
What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activities? My mom's side of the family gets together every other year and we rent a house and spend the holiday together. It's a blast.
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I love it when I'm far enough along to have a bump but not the super uncomfortable stage yet.
What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? Anxiety about what can go wrong and the not knowing, especially early on.

How is everyone doing this week? I feel like i am losing my mind...there are a lot of things this week i keep forgetting to do. Also being nauseous and feeling exhausted by 8pm.
What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activities? I am going to hopefully make treats and watch a christmas movie with DD tonight. I would like this to be a tradition. Also looking at lights is fun with a 3 year old.
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? The kicks and the first time i get up after birth its nice to feel so light.
What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? 1st trimester feeling exhausted and sick sucks. Not being able to move as fast or the way i want to at the end sucks too.

How is everyone doing this week? I am feeling optimistic and relieved after my ultrasound Wednesday. Feeling pretty cruddy physically though. I started b6 and unisom so I'm hoping that helps.
What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activities? Um, all of It? Lol I love decorating, baking, wrapping presents. We always make ornaments together at my mom's. Just those cheap foam or wooden paint ones, but its always fun.
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? Feeling the baby move. And when I have the round belly, I always feel cute when I have a pregnant belly. I think because it's the only time I don't worry about my stomach looking fat.
What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? The whole first trimester. And worrying. Especially now that I have had a loss, I worry more.

Yes yes yes about the b6 and unisom. I wish I would've tried it sooner. I started out just taking the b6 3 times a day. I felt so so sick last night that I decided to try the unisom too. I woke up feeling better than I have in weeks. Def reccomend the b6 and unisom!

klw did you have your ultrasound yet? HCG does stop doubling once you get to a certain point and I've heard progesterone can go up and down. I hope you get/got good news at your ultrasound.

I know you said that you were working with an RE, did you do a fertility treatment? We went to a RE, but did a natural cycle. Meaning they monitored me with blood work and ultrasound then told us when to have sex. I also started progesterone right after I ovulated. My other 2 losses had really low progesterone. I used the same method for my DD.

kam3100, update on unisom/b6: i've been taking 12.5 mg of unisom (1/2 tablet) along with 25 mg of B6 at night, and then 25 mg more of B6 once in the morning and once in the afternoon if i remember. it has been working well for the nausea- i can feel it start to wear off at around 6-7 PM. i've felt slightly less spacy each day after taking it. over the weekend i think i will try taking just 1 diclegis (that's 10 mg of unisom and 10 mg of B6, I believe) and see how i feel on that. i definitely think 2 diclegis (20 mg of unisom) is too much for me bc of the extended spaciness. klw, omg, wow, congrats!

Thank you! What’s interesting for me is that took Zantac and it’s been a game changer. So I think GERD has been causing my nausea and throwing up and that would explain why the Diclegis wasn’t helping. At least in my head.

I have exaggerated gag reflux in first tri and that helps keep me from feeling like I might throw up. I'm lucky to only get mild nausea early on....I only throw up when in labor!

How is everyone doing this week? Nervous about the baby measuring 5d behind what I expected, but thankful for all the reassurance here! I know lots of ladies have experienced this and had healthy babies, but this is a first for me (DD and DS both measured a couple days bigger than I expected at the dating u/s). I have a home Doppler, but won't even try that until 10 weeks.
What is your favorite christmas tradition and/or winter activities? I love buying presents for people and baking goodies.
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I like having the obviously pregnant belly where you don't need to suck it in! This is my first time with a summer baby, so excited to get some new maternity clothes.
What do you have the hardest time with while pregnant? Gestational diabetes and hypertension suck....I already have white coat anxiety that raises my bp, so it's awful when they immediately start talking about more serious conditions when I know they could just wait 10 minutes and it will go down.
I just received appointment notifications for my free cell testing and u/s at 12 weeks AND my anatomy scan at 18 weeks! February seems like it's just around the corner, yikes!
