I just did the first round of cleaning and combing out her hair. There were... a lot. Like a serious infestation. I know i didn’t even get it all because it was so bad.
I feel like such a shitty mom. I can’t believe i didn’t see this. The day care told me last week that they thought she had it but then only showed me what i thought was her cradle cap. I washed her hair that night and combed it but didn’t see the lice.
O doesn’t have it but it’s hard to believe that the lice just stuck to one host. I’m going to wash and vacuum everything tomorrow and do a second pass on her head. Ugh.

I'm taking a half day tomorrow so I'm staying up late watching Floribama Shore. Because I needed another shitty reality show in my life 😲 These kids are crazy!!

Does anyone’s N13’r go willingly to bed? If so, what’s your secret? I’d love to just have one night of no fighting and running away from me. One night oh no screaming and crying. It’s easier when we use melatonin but I don’t like falling back n that. Ever. Single. Night. Sucks.

I resorted to the melatonin tonight because I didn’t have the fight in me. But it’s been a few weeks since I’ve used it.

DH had his office Christmas party and no way was I taking all the kids to a late practice so he went with a friend's dad.

The other 2 just followed along. I'm not a late night person so I need them in bed. I'm sure the newborn will mess up our nice easy bedtime soon enough.

kim22 carter is pretty good about going to bed without a fight. But Millie wears us down. lfig we hadn’t used it in weeks then Adam used it while I was out of town. I wish I used it tonight. I know what you mean about giving it bc you just don’t have the fight in you.

So E bit a girl's finger at school today. The first time in 4 years. I don't know what got into him but he was very upset he did it and was in tears when we talked about it. We aren't sure why but he says he didn't want to play with his friend anymore.

When I picked C up tonight another kid had just vomited on the floor. Apparently he was sick earlier and they couldn't get a hold of his dad. The teacher looked pissed. I'm hoping C doesn't get a stomach bug.

When I was doing holiday cards with T today, I would say the name of the next kid on the list and he would say things like "she's the girl who always cries" or "he's the boy who always pushes." I couldn't help but wonder what the other kids say about him at home.

Where are my Southern Charm fans?...lahdeedah and flamingo
Listen, I know how you feel about spin offs flamingo, but PLEASE stop what you are doing and watch Shepspeare in Love...
Lol. I saw the commercial for it but didn't even consider it. My DVR is full of shows that I used to have time to watch. If it's ever on while I need background noise, I'll put it on and think of you.😘

melaniesue my child does not willingly go to bed ever, but I noticed it's a little better if she has something to look forward to the next day.

wedding that happened to us a few weeks back. Pretty sure the boy had strep because it had been going around. I kept grilling Cadence, are you sure you didn't play with him? She kept saying no, he was sick so we couldn't play with him. Luckily, she didn't catch anything.

snoopmommymom You have all my sorries. melaniesue I need the secret, too. The pedi told MH M doesn't need a nap and we should see if they could let him not nap at school to make bed time easier (earlier) for us at home. I'll ask about it, but I'm not positive they can do that. Does Millie get a nap every day?

lahdeedah she’s easier on the weekends when she doesn’t nap for sure. We asked dc to not let her nap but she disturbs all the kids so now they only let her nap for an hour then wake her up. But I feel like they are still letting her sleep too long.

J was up until almost 10 tonight. He needs to drop the nap at school, granted then he's a bear during the evening. We have dropped it in the weekend. I mentioned it to his teacher and another kid told the class that santa knows if they get out of bed when they are supposed to be sleeping.. so sounds like it's a common issue!

I really, really pushed that B not nap at daycare. I told them they needed to find a way, move him up to another room, etc. Whatever they needed to do, it had to be done.
We had the worst time last year this time when he was starting to drop naps, he was all over the place, fighting us and losing his mind if we left his room. I put my foot down and set the timer for 3 minutes to stand in his room then left, if he got out I put him back to bed nanny Jo style. Two nights were terrible but he got the point that we were serious and has been good ever since.
UO maybe but I think 4 is too old to be napping. The transition from napping to not is a bit of an adjustment but in the end it’s been a really great thing for us, he is asleep by 8:15pm and is truly tired. The weekends when J naps her one nap he gets to quiet time, usually a movie and quiet play with lego.
I really, really question why DCP’s push naps at this age, there has got to be an option at least.

We also go without naps on the weekends and it's easier to get him down those days. It's a state rule here that they do nap time I think, but it's BS. M went from 2 hour naps at his old school to 1 hour naps at this school, but that hasn't helped at all. I do think no nap would be best for us, even though he is a beast by late afternoon.

I hate to say it but ds is soooo easy to put to bed since he doesn’t nap anymore. Upstairs at 18.45/19.00 for bath time and usually he’s sound asleep by 7.30 the latest. When he still napped it was a two hour struggle.

It's hard for me to even imagine my kids still napping at this age. Maddie gave up naps just before she turned 2 and Cass was less than 2.5. Of course with M that didn't make a difference at night because that kid has always fought sleep like crazy. Thankfully the big guy upstairs did me a solid with Cass and she'll ask to go to sleep a lot of the time.

I'll be the outlier and say C still really needs naps. He's easier to put to bed the days he naps. Otherwise he's overtired and cranky. He naps for an hour at school but on the weekends it can be anywhere from 0-3hrs.

He's been a sleep unicorn since about 6 months, honestly. Chase, however, is blazing his own trail...

O is easy to put to bed because he doesn’t nap and is exhausted from school. Sometimes he even falls asleep in the car ride to pick up Z and I’m struggling to keep him awake til bedtime.
On the rare occasion he does nap, he’s still wide awake at 9:30.
