What does it look like? I'm starting my search for bedding for L's big girl room. MIL wants to buy it for her, which is really nice but MIL and I don't have the same taste. At all.

trtlcrzy I'm here. I left the day after Thanksgiving to go up to my Dad's. I just got back today. No internet and barely any cell service at his place.

We have a "hard freeze watch" in effect. Am I supposed to know what the hell that means? I've never heard this so I Googled. From my very brief research, a hard freeze is when temps fall below 35degrees (I think it was 35) for at least 4 consecutive hours. Sounds like the warning is for plants, gardens, crops. Okay well I'm in the concrete jungle so no worries about plants here. I wonder why they call it a hard freeze...

Hi everyone! Missed you all! Popping in today to see what everyone is up to. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and holiday weekend! @peach that's bull. A warning would have been enough. wineallthetime not the cookies! Sorry to all those with colds. It's going around my house, too. Also, would someone please take the internet away from me. I can stop buying things.

I'm looking for a puffer coat. But every one I find is made with real down. I need down alternative. If anyone sees one let me know. I'd like grey/navy/black.

I believe it’s because certain plants can’t withstand those temps, and there are gardening things you can’t do after the first hard freeze.

Hiiiiiii lahdeedah ! I miss you. How are you? Are you and the boys still ok after the accident? We're fine. Thanks for asking! I'm ok. Football season is over for us, so that should lend me more time to get things done on the weekend and free up time during the week.
I see you are back to work! How is it going?

Work is good, the same. The evenings are a complete whirlwind, I just try and survive from about 5-8 every night, so much to do in such a short time. I was expecting the mornings to be more hectic but so far they are the smoothest part of the day.
Thanks for asking!

Anyone ever been to Drybar or used any of their stuff? I haven't been but I stayed at a hotel with dry bar blow dryers and my hair dried so fast and looked amazing. I think Cher has been there but I could be wrong.

Yup! I’ve been to DryBar many times and use lots of their stuff. What do you want to know, Goldi?

Finally checking in. I'm listening to Christmas music on Spotify and haven't done much in between random client calls aside for look up what a local-ish consignment shop will take. I took tomorrow off with no plans, so I'll probably clean a bunch of bigger items and make my first run over if I have time. There's a closer place - right in town - but they are appointment only and you don't get paid until items are sold. I just need things to start to disappear ASAP. I've got a swing, 2 pack 'n plays, an exersaucer, a jogging stroller, a bouncy seat and tons of smaller items. So much clutter.
On another note, I went to bed late last night after spending 2+ hours on the phone with one of my best friends, who's going through a divorce right now. DH was acting really odd when I finally came to bed, so maybe we'll actually start talking in depth about our issues. I told him this summer that I wasn't going to push him to see a therapist but at this point, I need him to do SOMETHING to show me he's trying to make himself less miserable.

I’m here, with a case of the Monday’s.
Trying to get dinner started then hoping to pick up O and take him to get a haircut before we pick up Z.
Tomorrow is his 4yr appointment. I hope it’s not a lot of shots. Any tips on what to do? Tell him? Distract him?

Mostly so that for future appointments he trusts you if you say there won't be shots. I did a comfort hug with C and we practiced deep breathing beforehand (I told him to pretend he was blowing out birthday candles). I definitely wouldn't say he did amazing, but we talked about it a lot after and I bring it up when we play doctor in hopes of instilling some positive coping mechanisms in him. I mean, as much as you can with a 4 year old.

C is super curious and didn't flinch and watched the whole thing. He whined for a couple days after though.

I know Cher just got the dyson hairdryer from Sephora and I'm curious how that is too. I hate drying my hair because it's so thick and takes forever.

And the he could squeeze me while they would do it and that we would get a kinder surprise egg afterwards. He cried for a minute he had a little bit of muscle ache for a few days, that was it.

Like pp said I would tell him and prepare him. I usually have him look at me when it happens. He cries for one second until the nurse says it's time to pick out some treasure from the chest.

snoopmommymom I told B the morning of that we were going to get immunizations, he asked what that meant and I explained it to him and told him that I would be there the whole time, that it may hurt but only for a short time. We got there, I held him, he got the needles, he was holding his breath so I told him he needed to breathe and it was ok to cry if it hurt. He cried, so I rocked my 45lb 4 year old like he was a baby. Poor guy

She cried for a bit and I don’t think forewarning would have made a difference except she probably would have clung to me and resisted laying down on the table.

Add me to team spending too much money today! Yikes.
Daycare had 6 reported cases of HFM today, H being one of them. His is still pretty mild and 1 spot has shown up on his hand. I just reaaaally hope n doesn’t get it before her birthday and party this weekend.
