trtlcrzy, I love hearing about how other people celebrate Christmas. We don't put any presents out until the kids are asleep on Christmas Eve.

Before kids we'd put our gifts for other people (like our families) under the tree. Now no gifts go under there until after the kids are asleep on Christmas eve.

It looks festive.

Hi all! Heading home and then racing to get ready for J's party. Of course in horrid traffic and the usual 45 min ride is taking double. Are snacks for the parents and favors needed?? Bc they are about get cut if we run out of time😬. At least he's sleeping so he may be pleasant at his own party.

I’m good! It was good to let loose and not have to worry about anything. I didn’t sleep well, not sure exactly why but I am tired this morning. Now to drive 1 1/2 hours home(DH is driving). I never sleep well when I booze it up. Most of the time I don’t have a problem, but I think it was a combo of being congested, terrible pillows at the hotel and a little bit of being concerned about S (croup).

Hi!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I’m woefully behind here but the last of our guests just cleared out this morning. It was a great week and Thanksgiving dinner was a success; now I’m happy to have my house back!
Got our tree today and am working on that while DH has the kids at the park. B wants to help with ornaments so I’ll leave the shatterproof ones for him at the end.

Hi girls! Had an impromptu Sinterklaas celebration with my parents and grandparents. I had to race to get things done yesterday, but I’m so happy we did it. The kids were adorable and my grandma looked so so happy, this will be such a good memory later on.

Same here, but last year I got red fleece drawstring bags that ds could decorate for each person with fleece stickers. I put the presents in those and tied the bags, perfectly kept the kids from opening presents and it looked great under the three! Sorry I don’t have a pic without the kids or the elf 😉. Poof

E begged to go with MH to take SD home and tears were shed. We gave in and let him go. It is a 3hr round trip drive so we try to avoid it at this age due to meltdowns in a really boring ride. But I'm glad he really wants to spend time with her. And I get some time to myself.

Woke up to a horrible leg cramp. Did a bunch of laundry, cleaned out the pantry, cleaned a bathroom, and went grocery shopping. I could go back to bed now.

Ok today. They start at dinner and go until I fall asleep. I remember the same thing with T, getting up and leaving the dinner table night after night for weeks so hopefully I have some time left. Only thing left to do tonight is drop my car at the body shop from when it was hit. Going to have it fixed while DH is gone and I can use his.

The house is decorated now and the boys are obsessed. I'm not going to rest until that tree is down.

FWP: my nose is runny so I keep blowing it, and we only have crappy tissues at work.

Colin has me dressed in an extra Owlette cap & mask (from his birthday party favors) and the mask itches.

I took Dude to Irvine Park. He was thoroughly freaked out when one of the goats tried to bite my shirt but finally decided, "we should have goats, but there's nowhere for them to poop at our house. We also need a lava monster because he doesn't wear clothes, and he doesn't have hair so the goats won't try to eat him."

X napped for 3.5 of the 4 hours I was gone and Pete's only chore was to do dishes. Well did he? No.
Do you know how much I could get done during a 3.5 hour nap?

Hi! I'm still sick and tomorrow is Lo's Birthday trip to Disneyland so I need to either get better or figure how to suck it up. Also dh is being a jerk.

OMG I'm so glad this day is over. I actually said to DH "yeah well he's 4, you're an adult" at dinner. And also put Colin in a time out for refusing to try dinner. He went to bed early without much dinner and without his usual 4 stories. We'll see if tomorrow is any better...
At least Chase didn't mount Christmas tree. Yet.
