Glad it's over tgrimes. When is the last time she's thrown up? Hoping her system stays clear and this is officially done with!

So question for you guys... MH has a stomach bug. He woke up sick yesterday morning and stayed in bed all day. He was able to keep toast down this morning (first thing he's been able to eat) and I just asked him how he felt. His answer "My stomach feels very tender and bloated." We are supposed to host Thanksgiving tomorrow. He is the "cook" in our family. I make the side dishes. Would you cancel Thanksgiving, or hope that he's enough better tomorrow to make the Turkey and to host? I feel like I need to make the decision now so I give people enough time to Plan B. Oh, we are having 5 adults and 2 kids (plus our family of 4) if that matters. I would see if he can eat lunch and then make the call. More than likely he'll be fine tomorrow. Just disinfect everything he's touched. Lol.

Are the people coming the type who are like, "hell no am I going into a house that could potentially be infected with a stomach bug!" Or more easy breezy? That'd influence my decision.

jewels I agree with waiting to see how lunch goes. If you aren’t able to host would one of the other families be willing to do so? I assume that you have the turkey and everything so you could give it to them to cook.

And keeping everyone far far away from him!

And my BFF who is in the middle of a huge kitchen remodel and literally has a whole where her kitchen was... so maybe my parents??

J stayed in school full-time while I was on mat leave. Part time isn't an option here though, so was a non issue. Pretty sure his teachers got him through last year in one piece, we sucked as parents.

Yay tgrimes. Glad they didn’t see anything concerning and that she’s hopefully done drinking yucky stuff for a while! Praying that poop was the issue and she’s done with all that!

B stayed in full time while I was off, daycare is my village and I would not have made it through while MH was on tour. So yes kim22 I'd keep him in.

jewels I don't think I'd cancel, purely based on the over exaggeration that generally comes from MH about the cold, the flu, a stubbed toe etc...

Sierra had a seizure this morning. Lasted about 30 seconds. It was while she was eating breakfast which was kind of freaky because she was mid taking a bite of a waffle. Of the 3 seizure meds she’s on, the dr is raising the on that has the most side effect with behavior....oh joy. But she’s pretty well maxed out of dosages for the other 2. She is also scheduling an EEG to check on things since it’s been a while and she keeps having breakthrough seizures about 1-2x a month.

OK, I am full of questions today.
We are going on vacation in 1.5 weeks. We are not bringing car seats. It costs $70 each to rent them for the week, but we are going to be 20 minutes from my brother's house. I was thinking about ordering carseats online and having them shipped to his house. He'll meet me at the car rental place and we can install from there. Then when we leave we can leave them at his house for our next trip (we go down there about 1 x per year).
I am looking at the Cosco car seats b/c they are cheap. One harness booster one and one regular one. I remember learning about them on here but don't remember who used them. I am just concerned b/c they are so darn cheap! ($45 each) Any experience?

I recently replaced it because the straps would get stuck occasionally and it would piss me off. Other than that it was fine.

It’s very lightweight so makes moving it easy. I think it will be perfect for what your doing. And that way you don’t have to worry about it on future visits!
