My printer tried to print a document on labels, I told it no. So it printed it all on legal size paper....except for 1 page in the middle of the document that it spit out as letter size. P.O.S. printer.

P.O.S. printer. This is one thing I'm dreading about working for my dad. I'm used to these huge professional grade printers that can fax a 30 page document in 30 seconds. My dad would rather keep buying $100 printers everytime they burn up then just spend a chunk on a big one.

Morning! Sending all my sorries to all the sick kiddos. I can commiserate, my biggest kid (aka dh) came home from work with 104 degree fever last night. He went to urgent care and they ruled out strep and the flu. He tried to get up to go into work today and I was like “no dude. No one wants you there. Do not be that guy that gets everyone sick before the holiday.” So he home. He better not get me sick, and I’m hoping he feels better later in the day to help me because it would be nice to do the thanksgiving shopping kid free. Not much else. I just realized two of my three don’t have school tomorrow so I’m going to skip the gym today to run all the errands I was going to leave until tomorrow. dang that is a high fever, glad he was willing to go in. I hope the meds kick in by this afternoon and i hope you get all your errands done today.

tgrimes did it work at all last night? Yes, she finally went at 9:45 last night. Then she went twice this morning but it was mainly liquid. She already told me she didn't want any more medicine.

This is my 1st period since my loss and it is a doozy. Also I’m already not looking forward to making M drink that crap again tonight. MH bought a cherry flavor last night so maybe that will be easier for her to drink. Ugh, that sucks. How often does she have to drink it? I thought it was a one time thing! She has to do it tonight too. Then tomorrow she has to fast and we go to the hospital. She'll drink some other nasty contrast stuff and the'll do the xrays of it going down her stomach, etc. She be interesting to see how they keep her still for so long. I wonder if she can watch a movie on my phone.

But like I have all these presets for fax numbers and emails and folders on my computer. You can't do that on the ones my parents buy. Maybe I can sneak mine out the back door when I leave..

I'm pretty sure that she can watch a movie or play a game on an iPad. I think the majority of it they use a floroscopy, a real time x-ray, rather then straight up x-rays. So, she can move around a bit and they can still watch it moving unlike a regular x-ray where she has to stay super still the whole time.

Does the stuff she has to drink taste like ass?

S had this done when we were trying to figure out her puking issues a year and a half ago when her shunt was failing (but they kept saying it wasn’t her shunt 🙄). It was an upper GI. She laid on a table with a sippy cup with the “stuff” in it. I guess it didn’t taste too bad because my picky child drank it. They had a child life specialist (shout out to wineallthetime ... you guys rock) come in and she had an iPad that she held up for S to watch. She asked me what S liked to watch and she put it on for her. It wasn’t bad at all. And didn’t take too terribly long. M will do great and with some luck, hopefully you will get some answers.

Morning! H’s fever is much lower today, 101.1, and she is up and playing. She told me all of her bones hurt though so she must be achy. S is a bit warm so I’m sure she has a temp too, I just haven’t taken it yet. I’m going to pack the kids in the car soon and run to the Starbucks drive thru.

My hands have been oddly swollen the last few days. Like, can't get my rings off and on swollen. I've never had this before and I don't know what it's from. On sunday, I assumed it was from drinking all weekend but they are still swollen this morning. I've been trying to drink a lot of water. Could having a cold make my hands swollen? Any tip to reduce it? Just took some ibuprofen so maybe that will help.

trtlcrzy, did they get their flu shots? I wonder if she had the flu Yep, at the beginning of oct. She got shots at her appt on Friday so I thought that was what the original cause of the fevers but now I’m not so sure. Yesterday her cough was barky and today she has a hoarse voice.
