I miss my rings so much! I get terrribly claustrophobic fingers, so they came off months ago - as soon as they started leaving marks on my skin. For a while I wore a replacement ring but then that got tight, too. I'm very anxious about them not fitting (comfortably) ever again. I cannot wear a tight ring that doesn't come on and off easily.
Also, I am a crazy hormonal mess today. Anyone else? It was a super relaxing, beautiful day off of work but I have seriously cried 4 or 5 different times. Things that set me off run the gamut from anxiety over the baby not moving for a while, thinking about my dog dying one day, to the way a college football game ended. I'm rolling my eyes at my own self.

I made it the whole way with my rings!!! Everyone was shocked when they had to remind me to take them off before we went to the OR. I couldn't do that with L, but I think the summer swelling and pregnancy swelling were the one-two punch. This is what I was afraid of. I was 95% sure I had to remove the ring I was wearing in place of my wedding ring pre op, so even though my rings felt fine where they were, I knew there was a chance I wouldn’t get them over my knuckles by 38.5 weeks and luckily tried last night.

typo31 I was an emotional mess yesterday but to be fair, it was talking with SIL about my nieces best friend that was killed in a fire recently.

I'm still wearing my rings, didn't even think about that. They definitely didn't make it this far with my other kids but 2 out of 3 were summer babies so maybe that is why.

Rings still on here. I'm calling it a win because I have had to pry them off to the point of bleeding with my first. I started crying today for no reason, well maybe it's because there is a constant flow of people in my house or HK being a sassy little shit...

typo31 - Yesterday I kept feeling that way, especially during the parade. I just kept wanting to cry, but I wasn’t sad. Yay hormones!!! Also still wearing rings, though my fingers have a tendency to swell a bit during the day at the office. The doc didn’t seem too worried about it though. It stops as soon as I leave. I’m planning on working up until labor (but will start teleworking week after next), but I gotta confess, I am mentally kinda done already

My hands and feet have started swelling the past few days. I think I switched my rings for my mother’s ring at least a couple of weeks ago though. I’m looking forward to adding to more stacking rings with the twins birth stones once I know for sure if they’ll be November or December babies!
In other news, I spent way to much shopping “deals” online this week! It’s a good thing I’m only buying gifts for our household this year. Anyone snag anything good? Some of my faves for the babies that I bought are Gathre mats, Lucy Darlings baby books, and a bunch of L’ovedbaby clothes.

No shopping for me. With the exception of one of N's preschool teachers I am done with my Christmas shopping. I started back in July.

The only shopping I did was online and some bamboo stay dry inserts to add to her cloth diapers since she has been leaking more now that she is older and going less frequently. I needed them anyway though and just happened to check on BF.

Last night my reflux flared up as I went to bed so I couldn’t sleep (and when I did, I slept like crap). We got home from the county free car seat check and I fell asleep for like almost three hours. So amazing.
I didnt shop so much for the baby but did get a good deal on a present for H. I do need to hit up BBB to return some duplicate shower gifts and exchange them for things we haven’t received but still need (mostly little things). Trying to decide when I’m going to do that...
I just need H to give me some shirts and the hospital bag is done! With the car seat installed, this feels super surreal!

I pulled out the car seat to wash the cover and the bases are such a cinch to put in, we won’t put them in until the day before. But after washing and reassembling, DD has been putting her baby doll in it and rocking it. She is going to be such a good big sister!
First night in the big girl room done too and it went well. The only thing left for dh to do is to strap the dresser to the wall.

veganontuesdays - you have my sorries. That happened a lot at the end of my pregnancy with L and it was so gross and uncomfortable. I'm also so jealous of those of you with packed bags and prepared car seats! That was also on my to do list for this weekend. 😂

Still haven’t packed my bag, but got DD’s done when I moved her clothes. When are you getting discharged officedronette?

Late to the party but my rings came off around 28 weeks. I just had them sized up in May because H bought me a second band for our anniversary too. I have a silicone ring for work (health safety) so I’ve been wearing that.
I bought some Black Friday stuff online from JcPenneys, mainly clothes for H and some of my favorite long sleeve shirts. I’ll probably do some damage on Monday though. I told H I might work half day tomorrow so I can shop more Monday.
I got a pedi with my mom today and wore maternity leggings for the first time. I have no clue why I waited this long because they are the most comfortable pair of pants I own and I’m going to have to pry them off later.
Also, this time next week I should have an outside squish and I’m freaking excited.

Still haven’t packed my bag, but got DD’s done when I moved her clothes. When are you getting discharged officedronette? Today. We are home now. It is both wonderful and a shit show. (Definitely made worse by the fact that L isn't feeling well.) All I want to do right now is try to poop and then sleep in my own bed. Naturally, Daphne just loudly crapped herself right as I was about to put her down, so first I'll have to deal with her poop, and then try to tend to my own. Husband is already asleep so I feel badly waking him for diaper duty (normally his responsibility).

Dh put up the exterior lights yesterday and then we got a tree after church this am. We will decorate once DD is up from her nap! So excited to have the decorating done before baby and get to experience it with DD. Fx baby cooperates so we can do Santa next weekend.

I'm so impatient for everyone else to have babies so maybe our board will be more active and I won't be alone and bored in the middle of the night. Waffle and kensie5226 - where did you go? The oddest thing just happened - well, I actually got a small bit of sleep before 4am, so two odd things have happened - but I woke up to D needing a diaper and went to use the bathroom and prepare to nurse her, and the second my hands touched the cold water, I couldn't stop shaking uncontrollably. I switched to hot and still had the uncontrollable shakey chills for over five minutes. It appears to Dr. Google to be hormonal, and it was super similar to the shakes immediately after deliver, but I am still so freaked out. 😔 We had to go back to the hospital to get Daph's bilirubin checked out because she started looking yellow, so they called us in before we were due to go back for testing tomorrow. I was so nervous they were going to keep our little Oompa Loompa, but her levels are now at a safe range and don't need to be rechecked. The doctor said that when the levels reach their peak that babies tend to LOOK most jaundiced but only the blood test tells us whether or not to treat and she's ok. So that was great news, as I was worried she was going back.

Still in hospital, waiting for baby girl to learn how to feed. We've tried a bottle this morning and she took to it really well so hopefully she gets it quickly and we can get out of here. I just want to take my baby home.

I took off my rings this past week. I have been waking up in the morning with swollen hands, and although the swelling goes down in a couple or hours, didn't want to risk them getting stuck.
We bought 90% of our Christmas presents this weekend! 47 people on our list this year, eek. So glad my siblings decided to draw names for adult gifts, our list was getting out of control. Also, I addressed and mailed all our holiday cards and thank you notes from the shower - I had a feeling if I waited on that it would never happen.
Last week of work this week - I just need DS to stay put until at least Friday so I can wrap things up there, then he can make his appearance anytime.

Same here sizzleb, about work. Need this kid to hang out a little longer so I can wrap everything up. I haven't packed my bag yet. I hadn't packed a bag when my water broke with N either so I am not overly concerned. We have basically everything all set for the baby and that's what really matters. This weekend we washed the changing pad covers and the boppy cover. We just need to hunt down the infant tub and even that's not a priority. The baby has clothes, swaddles, diapers, wipes, a clean carseat, and a place to sleep.

This week I have to train the temp who is filling in while I'm out, and in theory next Monday will be my last in-office day (then telecommuting until the baby comes). H and I are split - he thinks I'll make it to my original date of the 15th, I think I'll get to December but not much beyond that. My mom is literally splitting the difference and saying the 8th. I guess we have an unofficial baby pool going? lol.

officedronette, my parents have been here for Thanksgiving and DD has been home from DC. I’ll have more time in the next weeks. So far all is well here. He’s back up to birth weight and milk is in. Walking a delicate balance of avoiding overproduction, but pumping a little to stop mastitis. I bought nothing. We did get out Thanksgiving on Friday though and it was so good.
