I took a long nap with DD today and I woke up feeling great. I was supposed to use that time to get some work done for school but I could not keep my eyes open. DH and I decided as long as my induction is ok’d I will call the Red Cross messaging system the day before so they can start the process of getting him home then. I don’t know if it will work as I’ve never had to send a Red Cross Message before and he’s never gotten one. But here’s to hoping that it will work and get him here in time for the birth. 🤞 My anxiety level is high!

I went to do a couple things then I sat down in my kids room to play and by the time I got settled I was out of breath. My kid then got settled on the floor and proceeded to breathe heavily. Hilarious kiddo. I can't even get on the floor anymore because once I'm down I can't get up. 😂 Getting up is quite the production as well. If I'm feeling super dramatic I like to exclaim "turtle down" while trying to get up.

It’s a couple hours to the airport where he’s stationed and then about an 18 hour flight. 😕

Just now catching up but +1 to everyone going nuts at work. I get at least one IM every morning when I log in "You're still here?"...yes...
Also would not host Thanksgiving. We have it with my mom's family on Sunday and I decided my presence is all I need to bring. I'm pretty sure I'm skipping family Christmas this year too.

I had measurable contractions last night... I timed them and they were never longer than 30 seconds, but they went on for over an hour until I fell asleep. I figured if I could sleep through them it wasn't go time but umm I am only 35 weeks so... He needs to wait just a smidge longer!

Also, I was induced with E and got an epi pretty quickly so I feel like I am a FTM and have no idea what "go time" contractions even feel like! These were definitely not BHs though. They started with a dull ache on each side of my bump then moved like a wave, hardening my entire belly. BH for me almost feel "good" if that makes sense and these were uncomfortable and achey. Not bring me to my knees though. Rinse and repeat. They rarely felt like period cramps which is what I keep reading is typical of labor contractions.

I feel like my pelvic bones are so sore lately. I don’t remember this last time. Is that normal when the baby is head down??

I'm so excited there are babies here this week. But I'm keeping mine in, I'm not ready. Today was my last day of work though.

I feel like my pelvic bones are so sore lately. I don’t remember this last time. Is that normal when the baby is head down?? Definitely normal. It's because our body is making that relaxin to help our pelvis essentially come completely apart for labor. Which just sounds so nuts. Lol

I just didn’t remember it with DD, maybe because I didn’t go into labor and she was breech so her butt was maybe not so boney in my pelvic area.

Suddenly it kills to walk down stairs - it feels like my legs are going to crumble apart!

I finally retired my wedding ring last night and almost couldn’t get it off.

The relaxin was killer. I was having moments where it was pulling my pelvis so out of alignment that my back was off and I couldn't walk. Those moments were easily more painful than this recovery so far. Which is not a picnic, but compared to my pelvic break and even last C section, is going smoothly so far.

I finally retired my wedding ring last night and almost couldn’t get it off. Wow you made it far, girl! Mine came off at the beginning of September and it took me looking up different YouTube tricks and a good hour to get them off! 😳

I'm still wearing my rings but only because I normally have fat knuckles and my rings have always had to be a little big to fit over them. If I didn't have these chunky knuckles there is no way I'd still be wearing mine at this point.

I made it the whole way with my rings!!! Everyone was shocked when they had to remind me to take them off before we went to the OR. I couldn't do that with L, but I think the summer swelling and pregnancy swelling were the one-two punch.
