klong11 We use this brand. I bought it on Amazon I believe. I agree with wedding that there is a sweet spot for giving it. We don't need it every night, but utilize it to get her back on schedule if needed. I bet if you gave it right before you read books it would help. It's almost like magic, not scary in that she seems drugged, but more like "eh I think I'm ok with bedtime tonight."

She was suddenly waking up at 5 every morning. So I stopped giving it to Millie. From what I understand is it’s supposed to reset your internal clock for falling asleep but it didn’t do that. We were giving it to her for like 3 months. So now we use it once in a while when I’m desperate.

I only give it occasionally now and she sleeps till a more respectable time...5:30 or 6. Which is normal for her.

We didn't have a problem with early wake ups but it doesn't reset him. He's just a sleep fighter so on school nights when he has to be up the next day, getting him to bed is important.

I don't use melatonin but I wouldn't feel badly about giving it if my kid was acting nuts at bedtime every night. Not even a little bit.

Thanks guys. I would likely just be using it every once in awhile during the week. Bedtime isn't nearly as bad on weekends when she doesn't nap. I'm also going to talk to her teacher about possibly shortening her nap.

We have done both zarabees and the one mskatiep showed. I’m not sure what the deal was but I think it was making H fall asleep too hard at the beginning of the night because she kept wetting the bed. It also did not reset her clock, at all.
