We got a cleaner last month and it is the best thing ever!
I used to get all angsty about not wanting to spend the whole weekend doing chores but then not being satisfied with the state of the house. It's worth every penny!

I have a co-worker on the other side of my cube wall who randomly sings throughout the day. Why does a grown ass woman think it's acceptable to sing in a office setting. (She has ssssssooooo many other issues, but this is currently the one bugging the shit out of me.)

Dh brought up getting a cleaner after his final house project/contractors get done, without me even prompting. Yay!

Also we had a bit of a disagreement on his time off. He was kind of saying that at some point I’m going to have to be alone with the baby when I asked him why he wants to go back to work on the Tuesday after the birth. 6 days after. I told him I remember how hard it was for me to even stand upright last time. My mom doesn’t get into town until that afternoon. I’m just disappointed because with DD he only took a week because it was within his first year and he didn’t qualify for fmla, and I thought he wanted to spend more time Home the next time. But I was wrong.
What is everyone’s SO taking off for time after birth??

I think MH is taking two weeks off and then he'll do some long weekends throughout December. This is assuming all goes well and I have another uncomplicated birth.

H is currently unemployed but has a second interview next week and the first one went really well. If he gets that job he will likely be home the whole month of December with me. So either I’ll love it or I’ll be ready to strangle him.
I’m the nice wife who told him to leave his miserable job while I’m pregnant. I regret this from time to time (not for money, but because I’m freaking jealous he is home and I’m miserable at work) but it was what was best for our family in the long run.

I think H might only be taking a week this time. He took 2 with E. He then said he'll take some long weekends while I am off.

My last day is December 15th and I am off until April 2nd. I got a comment yesterday that said it looks like I'm having twins and then someone today said that I look like I am ready to pop. I have at least 5.5 weeks left. O.o Perhaps my last day should be now instead. lol

At target last week the older lady cashier asked when I was due bc I look ready now...I was so close to asking when she was due...then I decided to be nice! I forgot how rude people are at the end! 😜

I had DC ladies commenting on how big was at about 7 months (I'm really not), and now everyone is shocked I'm 2 weeks away. People are idiots. Just say nothing......

My husband gets 6 weeks off paid, to take any time in the first year. If baby comes on time (the 5th) he will probably go back after New Years, and take the rest of his paternity leave at a later point. Yesterday someone stopped me on the street and said "Congratulations! Fingers crossed it's a boy!"

My current favorites are: “How much longer do you have left?” ...about 2 weeks. “What are you having?”....we don’t know “And you’re not going to find out??”....we will in about 2 weeks.

Just had that convo at z pizza I went to a craft fair last weekend and I think I had that convo every third booth. I’ve made it this far, I can wait another 2 weeks to find out.

I never thought of the team green “what are you having?” Question you must get constantly! It made me LOL that someone would ask if you’re finding out in the next 2 weeks rooskie😂😂 I’ve also been getting the “oh so do you have a name for her yet?” “We have 2 names but we’re waiting to see her before we decide and then we’ll share.” “Awe tell me!! I won’t tell anyone!” Uhhh no

One contractor who asked me yesterday asked me if I hadn’t had any USs then since I didn’t know the sex. 🤦♀️ It kills me when people don’t realize that the AS is not just to find out the sex! My SIL has hers actually on the same date of my CS and I asked my brother if he was going to the AS and he asked if that’s the sex scan. Dude, it’s first and foremost to make sure the anatomy of your child is ok!! Ha

So I guess if you have later ultrasounds you might want to look away.

RCS set for December 11, much sooner than I expected.
DH gets 6 weeks off anytime during the baby's first year. Not sure what he will take right away. My other kids were born on Tuesdays or Wednesdays and he went back to work Monday all 3 times. I had all Csections but I was ok. Now I need him around to run the other 3 around to all their activities.

I’ve had several too, but have just told them before each one that we aren’t finding out. This is what we do. We had one at 21/25/33/36 wks and I think the techs just get excited that we aren’t finding out and tell us to turn away. The doctor even asked me what we were having this week because apparently they don’t put it in our charts.

Oh also the comments about how we have DD and now DS and that is "the perfect family" and now we can "be done." Look we were going to be done regardless and honestly I kind of wanted DD to have a sister. I'm over the moon we have a healthy baby, but all families are perfect and please kindly STFU.

If everything goes according to plan, my SO will take the Wed- Fri off that I am in the hospital and then the whole following next week. Then he has a few more days of PTO that he will take during the week after Christmas. I should add all of the time he will take off will be PTO and not FMLA or time given to him by his employer.

Someone said to me I can't stop trying until I have a girl (this is it for me as well). I'm like nope, I am perfectly happy with my two boys thank you very much. I have 3 nieces and that's more than enough estrogen than I need. I often wonder what makes people say such dumbass stuff sometimes.

ldubhawksfan, my husband's company revised their policy and he gets 10 weeks paid, which he will be taking all of. He had 6 weeks last time, and it was amazing. I don't know how much time I'd push him to take if it was FMLA unpaid vs. his paid leave, but I do know a lot of my recovery physical and mental going so smoothly last time was because he was home and equally parenting. I also think it helped establish our roles as equal parents (I know different structures work for different families, but for us, I really need someone to pull at least half the parenting-related weight). He also believes that it's important to send the message at the work place that parenting isn't just "women's" work, and that men aren't more important to the workplace than women such that the world simply cannot function without him there. (He and I have talked a lot about parental leave lately, as we both were involved with revising our respective employers' policies, and we both see it as a really important political issue, especially for women advancing in the workplace.)
