As long as we were on the topic of kitchen and bath fixtures - where we live it is pretty common for people to have those Toto high tech Japanese toilets with built in bidets, seat warmers, musical sound buttons, etc. Let me tell you - potty training a toddler who is interested in pushing all the buttons on the side panel of the toilet has been....interesting...and hazardous...
Also - I now love the Toto toilets - seriously, I'll never go back to having normal one. They are amazing.

I am not looking forward to the gymnastics involved in getting my kids butt clean when they are potty training.

Although it did startle poor DS the first few times (he quickly moved out of the way and there was a stream of water shooting up to our bathroom ceiling before we could turn it off). DS also figured out that if he pressed the bidet buttons while standing near the toilet, (there are 2 - front wash and back wash), he could create his own water park in the bathroom. So.much.water.

I did not know that it was that much water pressure. I'm scared of what that would do to my lady bits. ???

sheilathetank Not to totally hijack this thread and make it about Japanese toilets...but you can actually adjust the pressure of the water, so it can be more of a "gentle" flow. You can also adjust water temperature. DS figured out how to jack up the water pressure so the spray went really high - because that is more fun of course. We forgot to set it back to the normal pressure setting, and DH nearly gave himself an enema when he used the toilet next. Bahahaha - I shouldn't laugh...
